Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, there stood a castle; and in that castle there lived a beautiful princess.  Her hair shone like gold in the sunlight, and her skin was as white as a pearl and as soft as the wool of a newborn lamb.  She was to be queen one day, when she was old enough, as as history has shown, every queen needs a king.  So from the day she was seven years old, the princess was betrothed to a handsome prince of another kingdom.  Their betrothal and future marriage would form an alliance between the two kingdoms that would live on for years to come. There lay the problem, however, for the prince’s heart belonged to another; and this is where the story begins...

My cat was looking out the window which was cracked open just a few inches when a small child started crying at the neighbor's house.  She turned and looked at me with a look of complete mortification on her face.  How dare that child make such a terrible sound! Queen Sophie is displeased.

It's 2015- we can go into space, we can fly across the country in a matter of hours, we can communicate with people on the other side of the world in realtime... but we can't come up with a bra that will make working out a less painful experience for women.  Not okay.

A giant asteroid just blew up into hundreds of pieces and burned up across the sky like God had just thrown a glitter bomb.  What a spectacular show it was- a once in a lifetime event!

Yesterday, I almost came home from work with this little dog.  The lady had found him as a stray but couldn't keep him.  I can't have a dog on a permanent basis right now as I'm living with my parents, but I absolutely would have fostered him until a good home could be found.  However, the lady met someone in the parking lot of my work who seemed like nice people and said they would give him a home, so all was well... until TODAY a shelter about an hour away posted a picture of an apricot chihuahua/yorkie mix with sad little eyes and a little tufft of hair that sticks out right between his eyes... that dog is this dog.  They took him and abandoned him at a shelter.  I'm so mad and so sad.  The poor little guy is sitting in a scary shelter now (thank God it's a no kill shelter) rather than being in a nice comfy bed in a home of his own.  Faith in humanity destroyed.

Four years ago today my baby was born. It's hard to believe that little oddly colored uncoordinated baby is my beautiful lady today.  I love her to pieces!
