Karen flinched, immediately deciding that approaching Cole had been a mistake. She had hoped that the time and distance would make things better - clearly she had been wrong. She did her best to make herself not be seen as she approached the counter. “Yeah, hi, um… I put in an order to go?” She murmured, trying not to look at Cole.

Has xe been harsh? Probably. But now xe had to stick with it. Cole missed being close to Karen as a friend but couldn’t thelp feeling jealous of the other girl so it was better to stick out of the way. “Here you go.” The blonde faked the smile xe usually put on before sighing softly to xemself. “It’s not your fault.

"I was in control of it. Wasn't gonna hurt anyone and the only person I would have hurt was me." As a small act of defiance Cole lit xyr lighter and turning the flame into a small fireball and made it hover just in front of the other girl. "So, you don't trust me."

“I like you, so I won’t run around you and put the flame out.” Karen grinned as she watched the flame. “I wish I could produce something cool.”

“To be fair I could just relight it. I mean it’s not like I made the flame. I’m not that good.” Cole shrugged. “Here, watch this. This is cooler.” Sliding a hand into xyr pocket the blonde took out a glove which was enough to protect xem from the flame. In the air the small bracelet changed shape and formed a burning knife.

Cole kept the flame whirling around xyr wrist, being careful not to try and burn xemself as xe was showing off. It just seemed to fit with how xe was feeling; edgy and dangerous, as xe knew that it could take down buildings if the blonde so wished. “I know you’re not meant to play with fire.” Xe spoke with a small smile, entranced by the flame. “But you have to admit, it’s pretty.”

“That’s really sweet… I can’t remember the last time I had sex with someone special.” Carrie realized. She had always been so driven and career focused that actual romantic relationships just never seemed to work out. Plus most people only wanted her body anyway.
