Cute Found Family fluff where Shiro post season 2 adopting Tōru Hieda. He had no one really to begin with right?(that's why the Colorless king &Nagare used him right?)

So post S2 he has no one and Shiro is like a big goofy dad or big brother.

I like this idea a lot, Hakumaitou is basically the plucky orphan clan already XD I can see Shiro feeling a bit like he owes Hieda something of a debt, having made use of his body for so long, and at least initially he decides he’ll try to look out for Hieda when he can. When he learns from S4 that Hieda has basically no one, no family, no real friends, no one who would have been looking for him at all, that makes Shiro even more determined to be a part of Hieda’s family. Imagine Hieda’s having issues fitting in at school some too, because he’s missing like two years of memory and he was never a very popular person anyway so suddenly being dropped into a new place full of new people is hard for him. Shiro sees him hanging out at the edges of the classroom and decides this is the type of person that the Silver clan exists to welcome (I also like the idea that he mentions to Munakata at some point that he’s been trying to find ways to interact with Hieda more and Munakata is like ah, you wish to bond with him as a parental figure, giving lots of help as to how you may dote upon your favorite, and Shiro just laughs nervously and is like maybe big brother instead of parent).

Shiro starts inviting Hieda more often to talk after class or to have lunch together, and he probably brings in Neko and Kuroh so it’s not quite so weird for Hieda that this teacher is taking such an interest in him. Neko decides right off that she likes Hieda because ‘it’s Shiro, after all,’ and refuses to elaborate, just starts picking fish off his plate. Kuroh is a little more reserved but also very welcoming, he knows that even with what S4 explained to Hieda he’s still a little unsure of what everyone says they ‘owe’ him and Kuroh makes it clear that Hieda doesn’t need to know the specifics, just know that they’re grateful. I could see Shiro pulling in Kukuri to help with getting Hieda settled too, knowing how friendly she is and thinking she can kinda do for Hieda what she did for ‘him,’ even if she doesn’t remember that part.

Slowly Hieda starts to relax around these people, maybe admitting to himself that somehow he’s always felt something ‘familiar’ when he’s around Shiro and even though he doesn’t know why he knows it’s kind of a warm feeling. Shiro is always around when Hieda needs advice or just wants to talk and Hieda’s probably never had anyone like that, especially an older adult (though sometimes he thinks Shiro acts very young despite that). And eventually Hieda just finds himself pulled into this little group without even realizing it, feeling more comfortable around Kuroh and Neko too and they’re always so friendly to him and suddenly Hieda realizes he’s not the ‘person who has no one’ anymore, there are people who would notice when he’s gone.
