ignore "Hmmmm? You look familiarâŠ."
{/How strange, a complete stranger just speaking to her like this was okay. He was a funny fellow, usually no one interrupted a reading person.} "....--Okay? I get around a lot, so I probably do."
    While Dawn was lethargic and more interested in being lulled off into a world of dreams. Barry was more than eager to let his body speed down paths and keep his heart pounding with strength. His passion was being fit, for both his own sake and the sake of his Pokemon. He had always been like that, but it wasnât until after Team Galacticâs interference that he became more serious and dedicated at bettering his health and skills. They nearly took their lives once, and he wouldnât let it happen again.
   Propping her to a position that would be more comfortable, the trainer from Twinleaf began to nonchalantly march down the path beneath him with little worry. His pupils were set forward, but his ears were more than in-tune with what the female was saying. With a grin coating his face, he allowed an iconic chuckle to escape from within before replying to her with a robust amount of enthusiasm!
  âHaha, Battle Arcade, huh!? I beat you once, and Iâll do it again! You know that Iâm way too good at that for my own good, ya know! Besides, Iâve been getting even better than before!â
{/After the little thing on Spear Pillar, Dawn was happy to know Barry. She might not have made it back down if he hadn't been there for her at all. And he kept the other Team Galactic members out of the Torn world, while she and Cynthia went in after him. Frankly, Dawn thought Barry was more suited for it. He was much stronger than she and would have been able to handle anything in there.}
"Hmmm? But Barry, did you forget that to do the Battle Arcade...type advantages are the best thing ever. Especially when I manage to hit the best points on the board. And I've been training too. You should see Empoleon now."
{/It was true. While Barry was stronger, Dawn was a great strategist. And while she might not win all the time, she could definitely give him a run for his money. Gently resting her head on top of his, and getting as comfy as she could, she yawned just a little. He was always one step ahead of her. Minus their first battle ever, he's always been just one upping her each time.}
"We should also go legend hunting....have you heard the stories about Full Moon Island, and New Moon island? I heard there are Pokémon there that can control dreams. Wouldn't it be amazing if they were real? --We should take a trip one day and go."
   Barry awaited for her to limp towards him, doing his best not to give off the impression that he was rushing her. He was indeed an impatient and impulsive person, but he did his best to keep that side of him in check whenever he was speaking or dealing with Dawn. She was always the one who adored and welcomed serenity and peace, and given that she was in pain, he was going to do his best to respect her silent wishes for now. It was the least he could as her best friend next to carrying her.
   Turning around, Barry made sure to squat closer to the ground and ready himself for her to jump on. Barryâs position was steady, trained, and perfect in its poise. He was the more athletic of the two, and it only aided him in life given that he was obsessed about keeping his health in check. Ever since he was little, he made sure he competed in every sport he could, attended every practice possible, and nagged his parents to only feed him things that would make him âbigâ and âstrong.â
  âHop aboard the Barry express, ladies and gents! Heâs about to make the biggest mad-dash to the nearest town EVER! All tips are appreciated and no tips are denied! Get ready for Barry Aceâs Epic Awesome Ride!â
{/Barry was a good friend. Just like he did his best to keep calm for her, she did let herself get a bit excited, and fast paced to keep up with him. Both of them had a healthy friendship of give and take with each other. As quiet as she was, when excited enough she was exactly like him. So as she hobbled her way over to him, Dawn had to stifle her giggles as she climbed on his back. Sometimes she forget how much he works out.}
"Barry's tip is me recording the movie he wants. And not biting his hair off for being loud."
{/As lazy as she was, Dawn was a pretty light person. Perhaps it was her lack of eating that made her so light? Dawn, unlike Barry, conserved a lot of energy. Maybe it was all the stories she's read about famine, but she figured conditioning herself to go days without food would be better than not being able to survive one hour without eating. She'd rather spend her lunches and dinners reading anyway. Books didn't read themselves.}
"Barry, we should hang out more. --And by that..I mean we should hit the battle Arcade together."
"Well⊠it did do the job of getting to this place." He then listened to her question.
"Not sure if itâll work getting back to Kalos."
And if it did work, then what an amazing day it would be for him. To invent such a device that would flawlessly have people go back and forth to destinations that they would like to go to. No more usage of that pesky Fly HM, but just a simple, carry-around, teleportation device.
"Would you like to test it out with me? Checking if it sends us back to Kalos?"
"Test it out..?"
{/So she would go to Kalos, free of charge, with a famous inventor? How great was this day! With the Cherubi in her arms, she stood and nodded. But she had to ask, why was he unsure of his own invention? Sure a lot of them fail, but he does more than what anyone else could. Approaching the kid inventor, she looked at him, then over at his invention.}
"What makes you unsure? Could I look?"
   âCarry!?â Barry was caught off by such a thing, but not for long. He figured Dawn would come up with such a little rule such as that! As best friends, they always made sure to make their own little quirks, quips, and tid-bits for each other. Many found it outlandish when they did such things in crowds, but given how tough their bond was, they allowed their colors to gush even when eyes were peering at them.
  âONLY if you record the movie about those boys, the railroad, and the stars! I forgot its name, but I hear itâs really good! If you donât agree to that, then Iâm gonna dash off at my top-speed and make it to the next town without ya!â His words were obviously just for adding to the new-found blissful mood, but he was indeed serious about that film! It was apparently a cult-classic in Kanto, and that was more than enough to grasp his attention!
"......?"
{/Her minimum high gone, she now replaced her look of confusion with a look of complete confusion. What movie was Barry even talking about? She could always check what was on the tv later and just see what movies are playing. He can't blame her if she gets the wrong movie since he never told her a name. But now her ankle was hurting far worse, constantly standing on it and all the pressure was horrible.}
"Okay! I'll record it, we can watch it together. Now...I need you to carry me."
{/Limping over to him, she made a motion with her hand for him to turn around. She could easily ride on his back. Or he could carry her in his arms. Either one would suffice, so long as she was off of his feet for the moment. And since she was going to record this movie for him, he had to keep his end of the deal.}
  There wouldnât have been any real reason to be mad at her now. She was his best friend, always by his side even whenever he didnât deserve it. She lent a hand to him anytime it was needed, and in return, he woiuld do the same. Barry may have been a bleeding-heart, riddled with passion, and clouded by his own need for excitement⊠but loyalty was something that he would never deny someone like Dawn.
  âYou better cheer up, ya know! âCuz if you donât, youâll get wrinkles before youâre fifty! If thatâs your calling, then thatâs fine, but I wanna keep my looks until Iâm at least eighty-eight!â Even in these situations Barry did his best to try and cheer others up, albeit his jokes not too high on the comedy latter!
{/Best friend or not, a wrong is a wrong. But for Barry....he had free passes all the time, as the best of best friends. He was always there for her when she got in her fair share of scrapes, and he was always there to cheer her up with any of his funny jokes and and influential upbeat personality.
So when asked for a smile, its only natural that she would comply. Giving him one of her best smiles, she nodded.}
"Don't worry. I'm smiling because you're gonna carry me."
  He gave his own sigh, especially considering they both seemed to be a bit on edge today. She was in pain and they both were equally frustrated at the other for not being able to do anything about it. However, Barry had more maturity than he let on, with most of it deriving from his adventures around the Sinnoh region. Taking a quick breather, he slowly but surely allowed a smile to creep onto his face before replying.
  âThen letâs stop chatting for no reason and get those bandages, okay!? I mean, you donât want to be known as limp-chimp for the rest of your life, do ya?â
".....?"
{/Barry was smiling at her, but why? She had literally just got done yelling at him, but he was...still willing to help her and be kind to her. It bothered her. Why be kind? A person is supposed to reap what they sow. And she yelled. If anything, as much as it bothered her that she wasn't reaping, she was thankful at his forgiving nature.}
"Yeah...lets go then. Sandshrew...he's small but when he's scared he's a feisty little thing."
{/The limping was a bit hard on her. Especially since the old bandages got dirty and had to be taken off. So there was no pressure now to console the pain.}
The female seemed a bit surprised that Clemont didnât know where he was at all, well.. he did know, he just wasnât too familiar with the area. Seeing as he had never visited the Sinnoh Region.
"Actually.. I didnât come by plane. I was giving my teleportation device another test drive."
"But at least itâs accurate this time, sorry for the trouble." He replied, sighing. âI deeply apologize! Erâ do you need any assistance with anything, perhapsâŠ?â
"Really? And it worked...?"
{/How quaint. How unusually brilliant in his sense. If that were the case, travel would be so much cheaper and everything. So much and it would be easier for everyone. Quiet, calculating, Dawn. She had to know if it worked. He got to see her region, she wanted to see his. Going with him back to Kalos would be..amazing.
A tiny shake of her head, she only had one request.}
"Can it work both ways?"
  âI donât have any either! If I had any, then I wouldnât have asked YOU if you had any! Weâll just have to get some together if your ankle is hurting THAT badly! Sheesh! Are you at least gonna thank your pal in the slightest!?â
"Don't yell at me, don't yell at me, don't yell at me, DON'T YELL AT ME." {/Sore ankle, easy intimidation, Barry should know by now she doesn't take kindly to being yelled at. Especially when she's in pain. With an angry huff, she takes a huge deep breath. Yelling and getting upset like he does won't help.}
"I apologize..and I thank you."
calmingdawn started following you.
Clemont had never been in this region. Sinnoh, as it is called. It was not as fancy as the Kalos region, but it was quite⊠nice. The relaxing vibe it gave of felt very nice to the blond. He found himself in an unknown city, but with one glance of the map he had downloaded onto his holo-caster, he read that he was currently located in âTwinleaf Town.â Since he had tried to test out his teleportation device, he looked around for people to ask questions too.
He saw a  young girl, and he carefully approached her, âUm, excuse me miss. But is this Twinleaf Town, of the Sinnoh Region?â He asked politely.
{/Her Cherubi in her arms, she had come home to get a bit of food from her mom. Nothing was better than home cooked food, and even the bits of grain her mother gave her for the pit pokemon was just adorable and delectable. But what could ruin this day? A gym leader who doesn't know where he was.
Having studied many and all gym leaders, Clemont, the electric inventor was lost. It actually astounded her.}
"You got off a plane...and have no idea where you are? --Yes."
    âIâm not really the bandage police, ya know!? Itâs not like I keep fifty-     hundred bandages on me like Iâm some kind of Nurse Joy! Donât     you have any on you? Youâre more of the cautious type, you     know?â
{/Look at her, this is the most worked up she's been in a good while. Obviously, this training was important to her.}Â "If I had any, would I be here asking you? I used them all already, I've been on this ankle for weeks. I had to keep them bandaged to keep moving! If I don't keep moving, I'll end up sleeping again!"
  âWhatâs up with you? You look a bit worried, donâtcha think?â
"I'm not worried-- I just need some bandages. I kinda...bruised my ankle when I was swimming. I need to keep it wrapped."
"Barry? Barry...can you come here?"
   âNUH-UH! I donât do things so easily! Iâm like, always stepping my foot down! Youâre pretty slow if you canât catch onto THAT, ya know!â Of course he was pretty easy with Dawn. After all, she was perhaps one of his closest friends in this world they called a home. Anyone else could have expected a mighty little fight, but when it came to those like Dawn, he could at least spare the headbutts and yells for just a little bit. After all, thatâs what best friends were for, correct?Â
   âWAIT, WAIT, WAIT!â He immediately bellowed, soon followed by a somewhat comical huff before eyeing the female with a false batch of intensity. âAre you SURE thatâs a good idea!? I mean, likeâ last time you ended up getting all kinds of soap on Infernape that it took WEEKS to get it off!â
"I know I'm slow. Thats how I pick up, and fix all of the mistakes you make. Which....surprisingly aren't many. Its usually small things that could make them better, but you always have the basics down, and I'm proud of you for it." {/She wouldn't be a best friend if she didn't throw him a carrot every now and then. And she's even gotten better at learning his Pokémon's preferences, since its been so long since they were small and rambunctious. A small confident nod, a bit more of her usual apathetic demeanor slipping.}
"I've got scentless soap now. Infernape can be clean, and not smell like flowers this time. My Staraptor misses his sky brother, so dirt baths for both of them. Sandshrew and Donphan are going to have a dirt bath of their own. Roserade, Floatzel, and Heracross can all chill with Empoleon and Cherubi in the bank, Luxray....grooms herself. And I'll be watching them all, while you work."
  Pitching the tent wasnât all that fun, but he would accomplish such a tent if it meant she finally stayed out here for awhile. Unlike Dawn, Barry already knew what he wished to do for him and his Pokemon. Barry was striving to become the next Tower Tycoon, to become a symbol of greatness and a role model for all trainers to gaze upon. He wanted to become even stronger than he was n ow, and his fiery personality and attitude reflected that in spades. âFiiiiine! Whatever! Itâll be the best damn tent to ever be pitched! Itâll be like a striped Gyaradosâ unseen and mystical to all the degrees!â
"You know, Barry? Sometimes I forget how easily you'll do things for me. Thanks." {/In all honesty, she expected that much more of a fight from him. Another stretch, and she opened her bag holding it out to him.} "Put your Pokémon in. I'll give them a bath too. --Don't worry, I know how to wash Infernape without making him uncomfortable. Staraptors bathe themselves. I just figure it would be easier if everyone went at once." {/It made sense to her. Besides, she hasn't had a moment to speak with them and catch up. Her Pokémon missed their battle buddies too.}
