My 1st Halloween spent alone. Not sure how to feel about this

It's fucking heart wrenching when u can't be thr for someone like u want or need to be. Ive had a death in my e tended family whom I was super close to and I'm not able to be thr for my family, for my son, on a very important day. This heartbreak is so much to handle 💔 😪

So I absolutely love Halloween 🎃 😍 its my favorite holiday! Its the holidays that follow that make me blue. This is a really hard time of year for me. I have blood family I don't speak to and its really hard. I miss them but don't miss the toxicity. They may be on my mind 24/7 this time of year but I don't miss the walking on egg shells, the looks, the lies, the narcissistic verbal, mental and physical abuse. Don't miss an once of it. I wish things could be different and maybe some day we can reconcile but only after some very long conversations. Maybe someday their ghosts won't haunt me anymore. Books, therapy, ive done it all and I still hurt. All I can do is face it, work thru it and move on. Move with the wave and roll of life. Just try my best is all I can do, right?
