Tristan smiled when Cam took Micah, she truly never thought she’d be able to get over seeing him be such a sweet dad and loved seeing how bonded her son was with him. “They’ll be out of the oven in about five more minutes, I also got eggs and bacon cooked, I figured I’d start toast once we were downstairs.” She nodded. “I’m great, had my cup of coffee and dose of Christmas music, maybe a little sore-” She giggled, ignoring the twinge she felt in her gut . “-but great, how about you handsome?” As Micah crawled his way off Cam’s chest and back to Tristan, she took his little grabby hands and helped him stand upright, smiling at how wobbly he was and how much his feet turned inward. “And you’re the only baby on daddy’s side, aren’t you special, huh buba? No competition.” At Cam’s question, she spared a quick glance to where he was looking and looked down at herself in his tshit and her underwear. “Hmm…. as great as a naked Christmas sounds, I’d love to get a few pictured of our first Christmas together. Maybe save a present or two for him to open while we’re dressed?” She started talking to Micah about presents and he blabbed back to her in whatever gibberspeak he came up with, freeing one hand to grab her hair. “Oh no thank you, no thank you.” Once she’d free’d her hair, she got up and gave Cam a kiss after picking up Micah. She knew she had a fresh set of pjs for Cam in his presents, so she wasn’t going to force him to get dressed right away. Eventually they all made their way downstairs and Tristan called to Alexa to start playing Christmas music as she topped off her coffee and poured him a cup. “I’ve got the food on warm, so do you want to open presents first or eat? Little man won’t know the difference.” Micah kept grabbing at Tristan’s hair, so she walked over and put him on his tummy time mat. “Could you pull out those cinnamon rolls please?” As Cam moved around the kitchen, stealing a couple pieces of bacon when he thought she wasn’t looking, Tristan separated out their presents, getting all of Micah’s ready in the center of the room. She walked over to the lower floor office room and grabbed her camera, getting it ready for whenever they started opening them.
“Yeah, I get that.” He said continuing to stretch out, “ I’ll put some pants on.” As she gave him a kiss moving to get out of bed, he decided to get up and find some clothes as well. He put on basketball shorts and a loose t shirt before making his way downstairs with his family. Walking into the kitchen, it almost felt like he was dreaming. At home early morning with his family with a light snow outside on Christmas day. He took a deep breath and smiled over at Tristan as she placed the cup in front of him. Cameron pick up his coffee mug, “We can eat and then open them and get dressed. I think that sounds like a solid plan.” He told her before taking a drink of coffee feeling more awake. “Yeah, no problem, he called out while Tristan moved out of the kitchen with Micah. One his way to the oven, he grabbed a few pieces of bacon before putting on oven mitts and taking the cinnamon rolls out. While she got the living room set up, he plated both of their breakfasts and took them to the living room coffee table so they could sit by and watch Micah. He was already eating by the time she sat down next to him. “I swear every time I look at him he grows up a little bit more.” He looked over at Micah was scooting around on his stomach grabbing the edges of the mat. He ate a bite of his cinnamon roll, “Ah- hot.”He got out before taking a drink of coffee. After he swallowed he let out a small laugh before resting his hand on Tristan’s lower back. “Amazing cinnamon rolls, I’m sorry I’m impatient.” He looked over at her with a little smile, “You feeling okay?”
