Hey brother|| Sam&Dean
Sam has gone too long without his brother. Like an old carpet left out in the sun he had begun to fade, to morph into something- someone- else. Ruby didnât help matters any. She was there egging him on and urging him to go to new heights. The worst part? He never really told her no. Maybe once, maybe half heartedly, but it wasnât a regular thing.Â
For the first time in weeks he sits in the little motel room alone, the television on in the background while he rifles through papers. Maybe he canât get his brother back but he can make the bitch who killed him pay.
So when he hears the knock and he isnât expecting anyone, Sam ignores it. Probably just the cleaning ladies anyway.
It's really weird to be topside like this. To be here where humans are--where humans are whole and alive and not bleeding and screaming and crying and dying a thousand times in ten minutes. Actually, he's not all that sure that he is in the human world. Living Land. Earth realm. Whatever.
But he's not on the rack. Not near the rack. Not working the rack. It can only be a good thing until it goes bad.
Something has led him here. Something in the back of his mind, like a task put on the back burner. He still doesn't know what it is. But it lies behind this motel door. This door that won't open. And right after he gets finished drumming 'Back in Black' against the wood, he's gonna kick it off its hinges.
" I been too long, I'm glad to be back! Yes, I'm--! Let loose! From the noose--! That's kept me hanging around!"
