Sideburn, Omotesando

For a few years now Sakamoto has been steadily adding to his tumblr featuring his Polaroids of customers and models at Sideburn, a hair salon in Omotesando that he runs. There is a wonderful selection of his work on the salon’s site as well: Polaroid Portrait.

Check out his archive of portraits shot with Impossible Project film- fantastic pictures all the way through. I’ve been following him for some time now- and it was nice to finally get a chance to meet him in person (and get a sorely needed haircut) last night. I know a lot of you following Tokyo Camera Style do so out of interest in contemporary Japanese culture so following Sakamoto’s tumblr is going to give you a great view into the Japanese fashion scene.
