Where Is My Mind? {Open}
Cameron had took the day off school. It wasn't his idea, it was a joint decision between his mother and his psychiatrist, who both insisted the boy needed to relax. He sat on a deckhair in his front porch with an art magazine. He'd had an appointment with his psychiatrist for the first time that morning in, well, months. He'd insisted he no longer needed to see Victoria 'Call Me Vicky' Pierce with the nasally voice and the beedy eyes any more, but his mother insisted he would benefit from it. Even if it was just a to tell her he'd been feeling great and everything in his world was perfect and there was nothing negative he could possibly say about his life.
He hated that woman. It had been a while since he'd been referred to her. It was decided that his old psychiatrist, the more amiable Annie, didn't have the training to help him any more than she already had. But he would much rather talk to her, he felt comfortable opening up to Annie, whereas 'Call Me Vicky' just made him boil with anger. Despite supposedly being one of the best adolescent psychiatrists in the state, she just made Cameron feel nervous.
Vicky had insisted he was overworking himself. He wasn't sure what had made her reach that conclusion, but it was recommended he take the day off school. So he sat there, lonely, bored, wishing he was actually in school, and that was something he never thought he'd want.
