"The way I see it, if something makes you sad when it ends, it must have been pretty wonderful when it was happening. Truth be told, I always felt it a bit lazy to just think of the world as sad, because so much of it is. Because everything ends. Everything dies. But if you step back, if you step back and look at the whole picture, if you're brave enough to allow yourself the gift of a really wide perspective, if you do that, you'll see that the end is not sad, Rebecca. It's just the start of the next incredibly beautiful thing."
This is Us
THIS IS US (2016-2022)
I mean that’s what we’re doing just… collecting these little moments. We don’t recognize them when we’re in them because well… we’re too busy looking forward. But then we spend the rest of our lives looking back… trying to remember… trying to be back inside them. Strange the things you remember.
THIS IS US | Us (6.18)
this was one incredible journey.
the this is us finale being centered on all of the little moments in life and how we spend most of our lives wishing we could go back in time to embrace those memories. yeah i’m never going to recover
I love a movie/tv show about awful teen girls being awful to one another. The feminist in me goes on a cigarette break for a pretty girl with a bad attitude and a stylish wardrobe who absolutely DRAGS everyone within six feet of her.
I live to see bitches. It’s one of my favorite genres—The Mean Girls Genre.
So the 80’s had “Heathers”.
The 90’s had “Jawbreaker” and Kelly Taylor on “Beverly Hills: 90210”. (Cher from “Clueless” was NOT a Mean Girl)
The 00’s had “Mean Girls” (the most successful film of the genre), Blair Waldorf in “Gossip Girl” and the criminally underrated “Jennifer’s Body”, starring Megan Fox.
The 2010’s gave us Alison DiLaurentis on “Pretty Little Liars”, Madison Montgomery and Chanel Oberlin from “AHS: Coven/Apocalypse” and “Scream Queens” (both played by Emma Roberts), and Cheryl Blossom on “Riverdale” (though she’s a recurring character at best).
We need new Mean Girl Content.
STAT.

And then you run into Nick Dunne on the Seventh Avenue as you’re buying diced cantaloupe, and pow, you are known, you are recognized, the both of you. You both find the exact same things worth remembering (Just one olive, though.) You have the same rhythm. Click. You just know each other. All of a sudden you see reading in bed and waffles on Sunday and laughing at nothing and his mouth on yours. And it’s so far beyond fine that you know you can never go back to fine. That fast. You think: Oh, here is the rest of my life. It’s finally arrived.
