An angry lo'ak for my people (the Watermark (Estudios.milo its my ig profile, don't think i'm reposting or stealing art 😭) that's it
Posting this here first! (The watermark it's my ig, it will be posted this night at 7:30, im not sure) But i really wanted to show it here
I want a fanfic (that Ik I most likely won't write myself) where the bats don't find out Red Hood's identity until an enemy de-ages him back to his robin years. Of course this causes a small bit of chaos as it was also captured on camera and uploaded on the internet. Luckily for the bats and Jason despite being de-aged his civilian identity still remains intact as he was magically but back into his robin costume when it happened. Do with this as you will
the real hero of fire and ash was lo'aks sunburn
"Jack should have cried, struggled or begged more during the scene when Jake held a knife to Spider, I would if someone who is like a father to me was trying to kill me"
No???? That would completely miss the point of Spider’s whole character. Jack played Spider the exact way Spider would have reacted in this scene.
Are they forgetting the time when Neytiri threatened to end his life and all Spider cared about was Kiri than himself? He also never held a grudge against Neytiri afterward either, because he understood her anger towards humans and why she did what she did.
Spider has always valued the lives of the people he loves over his own. We’ve seen this again and again throughout AWOW and AFAA. That’s why he doesn’t lash out or panic when Jake threatens him like a terrified kid afraid to die.
We’ve seen Spider fight back against Quaritch, so we know he’s capable of struggling against someone twice his size. but he doesn't with Jake because he understands why he has to die which I find to be really sad but that's just how Spider is. He even said it himself with a knife held to his throat, he understands. Pandora, his home, and the Na'vi, his family, would be in danger if the RDA was able to replicate his ability to breath the air.
Spider is a deeply complex character, especially for a 16 year old, and Jack Champion deserves more credit than anything. He doesn’t just play Spider he understands Spider as a character.
The fact that we didn’t get to hear even a single word being said about Spiders tattoo sickens me
i didn't even notice in the whole movie that he got a tattoo. Fanfic writers you better add that to your narrations about spider
So you know the scene where Neytiri allowed Spider to rest on her back?
After rewatching the movie I realized that Spider was actually in front of her when they escaped.
Spider was probably feeling tired mid-ride and she chose to switch positions. He didn't just fall asleep on her back and Neytiri just let him. She chose to be the front rider to block the wind so Spider can sleep peacefully 😭
This is so special to me because so many people said that after Neytiri cut spider's chest he would fear her, but no, he calls her by her name, stand by her side, in front, in her ikran wthout doubt... I love them

You will take them out of my cold and dead hands
Little and quick Varang sketch :p
Little but not Quick spider study
I’d like everyone who has watched Fire and Ash to remember that throughout the entirety of the movie NONE of the characters blame Spider for Neteyam’s death. Lo’ak blames himself for making them go back for Spider, but he doesn’t blame Spider for needing to be rescued. Even Neteyam tells Lo’ak that they needed to go back.
Neytiri is still hostile towards Spider for the first half of the movie, but she never brings up Spider in terms of that death and she grows to view him as a person outside of his skin and blood (that’s character development and healing baby:D)
Jake blames Lo’ak and Neytiri blames Jake. This is talked about and they develop past this blame, but never once is Spider treated like the reason any of this happens.
Also is was none of their fault. It was Lyle’s. Lyle is the one who shot at kids and killed a teenager. While following Quaritch and the RDA. If we are going to blame a kid who only wanted to be accepted by the people he grew up around and not the mega corporation that brought in million dollar soldiers to help colonize a planet after killing our home world then we have lost the plot.
Sa'ata: "Neytiri?"
Sa'ata: "NEYTIRI 😱"
i actually hate so bad how people refuse to understand the dynamics of the sully family in fire and ash.
as a girl with a shit father, let's please stop acting like jake is the worst father to ever be. like we are not existing in the context right now. like first of all his son fucking died, second of all he is in the midst of war and as toruk makto it's kind of his job to be in charge and give orders. and like, military mindset does not leave you. he was a marine, he still acts like a marine (also speaking as someone who had ex-military family members). believe it or not most veterans still retain some of their habits and attitudes from when they were on active duty.
and going back to the grief thing, it's complicated and complex as hell. y'all are so desperate for the perfect victims istg. grief makes you say things you don't mean, grief makes you irrational. why are we expecting someone like JAKE SULLY to be the most perfect amazing father in one of the worst moments of his life. like his first son is gone. and honestly it's just bad media literacy to entirely blame lo'ak's attempt on jake alone. both jake and lo'ak internally feel responsible for neteyam's death in some capacity. yes, jake's words were the catalyst to his choice (and i'm not saying jake is blameless), but clearly there were boiling feelings there already.
we're giving jake so much shit for saying irrational things because of grief, but we almost totally ignore neytiri's faults, noting the entire argument jake and neytiri had. like yes, neytiri's hatred for humans is 100% justified, but for her to hate—hate is the keyword here— her children's human-adjacent flaws is not. because those are her *children*. and additionally, she chose to mate for life with a human.
and once again, we need to exist in the context a bit here. men are historically bad at emotional expression. it's a product of the patriarchy. jake sully is a product of the patriarchy. and the military isn't exactly known for improving this skill among men. it's a lot of desensitization and toughening up.
it's like everyone gets amnesia and forgets that twow and faa take place during wartime for the na'vi people. like they are at war with the sky people. this shit is life or death. and jake, as a leader in this war, is in survival mode. he's trying to protect his family— with a target on his back, mind you— in the midst of war. and let us not forget that sometimes lo'ak needed to be scolded. he was impulsive, he didn't think things through, he seldom followed instructions and more often than not it landed them into trouble. and in the context of the story those traits can be dangerous, and even fatal. like let's not sit here and act like jake wasn't being at least a little rational. we only see the dynamic of the current sully family in the context of war, minus the flashback scenes from when they were much younger. and in those scenes, jake acts just like any father would. he loves and dotes on his kids, he plays with them, he's attentive and affectionate, etc etc. he clearly wasn't always strict and orderly, it's simply because of the context of the film.
you can call a lot of men bad fathers, but jake sully is not one of them.
THANK YOU, OMG
