It is often claimed that digital and computer technology have a great amount of advantages because of their services. Therefore, nowadays most people use it for different purpose. In this essay I will discuss two possible advantages that digital and computer technology could have.

While it is true that technology it is mostly used by teenagers to play video games, also it is used in a variety of different ways for everyday life. I can honestly say that the most essential is the access to information that it provides, because it is very important to know about your country or something that catches your attention, for example. In fact, it is very easy, it is just touching a key with the information that comes to your mind and as a result you have solved many problems in few seconds.

A second advantage could be shopping and services. In my view, it is common to do shopping online in extreme cases, as being in quarantine and also when you don’t want to spend a long time buying or paying for things. Is there anything better than not having to stand in line? This issue is what make us think about shopping and services online.

Taking all into consideration, there are many good arguments to talk about advantages of digital and computer technology. In my view, the best advantage is to have access to information without any effort.

Your only limit is your mind

 THE BENEFITS OF TRAINING STUDENTS TO THINK POSITIVELY 

We often hear that thinking positively is the most important thing in the world. Students are always stressed by deadlines of the school and don't understand the importance of thinking positively and the great amount of benefits that it brings for our body and mind. But, what are those benefits that can change our lives?

The first benefit is extremely important, it reduces stress, because your mind is clean of bad thoughts. Therefore, they have a healthy lifestyle and a better work environment. As a consequence, students concentrate in school’s homework or exams without stress. The moment that their problems become more positive, they going to work better with teams and they will make a big effort to improve their marks at school.

Another point to take into account is that it helps students to increase their creativity. I can honestly say that thinking positively open  up your mind to new ideas, because now your mind is clean, without problems maybe. While it is true that it is difficult for students to be positive because they used to be negative people it can be changed it into a positive mind. .

On balance, I believe that for all it is important to think positively, but more for students that are younger it is important to learn these. The most important factor it is that reduces stress, because it brings terrible consequences for our body.

New students

Usual difficulties that new students have to face

Introduction

The principal aim of this report is to provide a description of the troubles that new students can face and highlight some recommendations as to how these problems might be managed and how you can face them.

Problems

A number of concerns with the college start when new students enter the first time at the school. On one hand, they feel threatened about their new context, everything is new, they feel lost in the buildings and hallways of the school.

On the other side, the students start feeling isolated and lonely because they do not know their classmates or even their teachers. Moreover, they feel as if they are different from the other students of the school, but they do not understand that they are all the same, students of the college.

The first weeks, they are adapting to the college, finding their way round the school structure and classes.

Recommendations

Taking all factors into account, I would recommend you some points to help you, if you are a new student:

First of all, take it easy because with patience the college will be like your second home.

Organize yourself to find how to manage in the school.

Talk with your partners, maybe you find in them more than you expected.

Ask for help if you do not understand something, nobody will judge.

The last recommendation is the one that new students have to take into account, I believe that fear creates an enemy that does not exist.

Amazing events that generate experiences

Introduction

The principal aim of this report is to provide information about the events that the committee organized over the past year. I would involve facts as to what events took place and what they involved, if they were successful or not, also I would comment about the organization.

Kind of events

The committee, where I work, tends to organize  as many events as it is possible. We organized events such as the one for christmas, which is my favorite, it was very successful, because the objective was that everyone had to attend dressed in red and they did it. The first one, that took place in February was not as successful as the one of july. The last one I have mentioned used to be the most popular, because it was very funny but over the years this change. 

Organization of the events

The events in general were very well organized, but it didn’t happen with the one on February,  because the organization was unsatisfactory. It was supposed to be a live show and a lot of food for the guests, but this didn’t happen. The event of Christmas was well organized, we spent a lot of time in it.

Recommendations

I would make the following recommendations:

Adventure sport centre

Dear Thomas,

Thanks so much for your email. It was so good to hear from you. As you know, I recently spent one week at an adventure sport centre and I’m going to answer all your questions about what my experience was like in the centre.

There are many things to do, it’s a fantastic place where you can be another person. The place is extremely large: one part is for athletes and another for gymnasts. First they demonstrated the way they do its profession and then they invited me to do with them. It was very funny because you can learn how to be an athlete, how they jump, run or swim. Moreover, I also invited the football and hockey fields, it is incredible how they play these sports.

I don’t know how to explain my feelings when I was there. I was immensely excited and happy, there everything is very colorful. Therefore, I was always in a good mood.

I recommend you to go to the adventure sport centre because it’s a fabulous place. Nevertheless, be careful where you leave your personal things because there are people who steal them from you.

Ways to improve our quarantine

Introduction

The aim of this proposal is to evaluate some ideas to make this time more enjoyable. Moreover, go on to identify what are the challenges that students and teachers are facing.

Current situation

It is common knowledge that the school plays a crucial role in students. Due to this, all what they do for us, such as tasks, videoconferences or whatever the students receive all the weeks are fundamental for our knowledge. However, recent research suggested that it is not healthy to be in front of the computer all day. For the students is getting bored as weeks pass by.

The challenges

Another factor to consider is how to manage the situation, for students and teachers it is a big challenge. These are difficult times to organize and carry out everything that needs to be done. An obvious example is when the students have a lot of messages from teachers or vice versa. It is so difficult to read and understand all we have to read, because sometimes the mails are mixed or lost. Not only is the fact of the messages, also the quantity of tasks that we have to do.

Recommendations: 

Taking all into consideration, I would suggest the following to the school director:

Talk about our favorites activities or hobbies 

To end up with, I considered that the best way to confront this situation is to make interesting activities where the students can enjoy the year.

Mock 2: Part 1 “Crimes”

It is often claimed that if young people start committing crimes it is because they have some personal problems, maybe with their families or friends, but it is not something of daily life.

There are many personal issues which can end in a situation of crime. One important fact is the lack of control by parents. While it is true that young people can take another way, some of them choose the one of committing crimes. As we all know, our family play a key role in our life, if they are absent in them, young people will decide what to do with their life, so some adolescents could decide to get into trouble. In fact, without control of their parents they will decide to do something extreme, a crime.

Another important fact is how young people are influenced by their friends. I can honestly say that I believe that this issue is the most important, but not only in adolescents, also in adults' lives. How are juveniles influenced by their friends? It is important to consider that as they are young they don’t know exactly what is incorrect or illegal. If their friends tell them to do something, for instance to commit a crime, they would think that is correct.

On balance, I believe that the cause which has more importance in young people's life to commit a crime is the influence that their have by friends, due to the fact that as they want to belong to a certain group they will do whatever is required to be part of it.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

Why do women need an International Women Day?

Nowadays and in the past women suffered every day because it’s difficult to find equality between genres. Every March 8 International Women’s Day is celebrated to commemorate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. 

Every year on March 8, women go out to show how strong they are with the purpose of seek equal rights for all . It’s relevant to highlight that they need an International Women Day. Firstly because it’s a way to show to the world or to some people that don’t know about what is happening with them. Furthermore, women can demonstrate that together they are very powerful, when they are all struggling with the same aim is something that shows a lot of power and positive energy because they want the best for all women. 

In addition, it’s relevant to have an International Women Day because women need to show that between genres there must be equal opportunities. They have been fighting for many years to demonstrate that we are all equal and the achievements they made during the years and that with pride it is possible to achieve everything. However, they fight for equality but with the international day they are making a difference.  

To conclude it is significant to have an International Women Day because it is when women can express themselves and they are heard by the others and show their current situation. At the same time they commemorate the women who are no longer today but generated a change in feminist history.

The impotance of avoiding the use of private cars

Nowadays many people have their private cars, that is a big problem for the environment and as a consequence for people. It’s important to avoid the use of private cars to make a change.

There are many points that the government has to take into account to solve this problem. On of them is to invest in public transport. If urban transportation is built, if this happens people will be benefit of reduce their expenses and they won’t need their cars. Therefore, the government's objective would be accomplished. However, if many taxes are spent in investment of public transport, it will not be possible to spend on other important issues as public hospitals and hygiene.

On the other hand, another point that the government has to take into account, to achieve their aim, is to increase the taxes for the ones who have their own cars. For example, if people have to pay the parking of the car, the amount of private cars is going to be reduced. Moreover, if the costs of the fuel or oil increase, the same is going to happen because the individuals are not going to be able to pay all. That’s why it’s a good idea to decrease the quantity of private cars using the taxes as a method. 

To conclude, the most important method is to invest in public transport for the ones who use their private cars because they don’t have other choices.

Helping to be aware

Dear staff,

 The company is going to make a video for a social environmental impact. As the company is in charge of the environmental issues, now it is going to make this video to show the society about the importance of taking care about it and how this is possible. It is an important step for the company because the idea is to have an enormous impact on people.

 The video is going to start with a lot of images and videos showing how the environment is being damaged by us. The aim is to generates an impact on people and to let them know that the change has to start now. Because I’m a short period of time the environment is going to be affected and as a consequence, we are going to be affected. To give an end to the video an environmentalist is going to appear. He is a member of the company and is going to say some words, like phrases to close up the video.

 In addition, another important point is how the division of work is going to be. Firstly, a group of 5 are going to be in charge of the edition, which is the most important, because the edition is what the viewers see. Secondly, a group of two or three, no more, is going to be in charge of the subtitles. The last group is going to be in charge on the publicity. That’s all what we have to organize to make an excellent video.

Reality tv shows and talent competitions

Nowadays reality tv shows and talent competitions are very famous as an entertainment for people. But, are they really important for our daily life?

One of the most important points of the reality shows is how young people are influenced by it. These programmers can have a great influence because young people can learn a lot about them.  However it depends on what type of tv show or talent competition it is and who is the person who is watching. If the programmes are about something cultural it is very easy to learn about them but if it is a programme where violence is the theme it is difficult.

 Another important point is how the reality shows and the talents competitions entertain the viewers. It is not a discussion that they entertain, it is their aim. If you watch these programmes you are going to be entertain and it is possible that you are going to watch it again and over again. However it is possible to get bored of watching the same or almost the same.

 I believe that the most interesting of tv shows or talent competitions is how they entertain the viewers. While some people work in the programmes others admire them. It is a cycle: people work, viewers admire and are entertain by them and workers are very happy to be admired by viewers.
