While on the walk to Trickshot, ABBA unintentionally popped into Camilla’s head…if you change your mind, (take a chance, take a chance…) I’m the first in line, Honey I’m still free, take a chance on me… She turned around for the first time, eyeing him from top to bottom, mindlessly walking and blatantly asked, “What’s your true opinions about ABBA, they’re the only Swedish band I know, and they’re on repeat in my head…” Unfortunately musical opinions can sometimes make or break any future of healthy communications, Camilla continued, “…not that I feel any which way about them, they’ve got some bangers, and if you have any good Swedish musician recs, I’m all ears.”
The dulled lights of the Trickshot marquee, and the doors came into her eye line. Camilla, turned around to face Axel, pressing her hands against his chest, forcing him to stop walking. “Alright…” Camilla said with a cheeky smirk, “…this place is not about decorum, or status or stuffy bullshit. Do you think you can hang?” Camilla bit her lip in anticipation.
For the moment, Axel had enjoyed the silence between the two, it allowed him a chance to think but then she began to talk about ABBA. He had to be honest, he’d heard of them but hadn’t indulged in much of their music, “I must admit, I haven’t listened to much of them. What I have heard, just sounds like the centuries popular sound. Someone always comes around that has a better sound, a better following.” Then she asked him for recommendations, and off the top of his head he knew a few but none that had the stuck in your head sound. “If you were interested in metal, I could give you some recommendations, however, if you’re looking for something that sounds like ABBA, I have none.”
Once again, the vampire was stopped in his tracks by Camilla, this time with her hands on his chest. Axel chuckled darkly when Camilla asked if he could hang at Trickshot. Rolling his neck around his shoulders, the blonde removed his jacket, leaving himself in a black undershirt, his usual smirk resting upon his features, “Well, we’ll have to see,” His voice dropping a little lower in range than normal as he bent down until he was face to face with her again, his index finger gracing beneath her chin for a moment. Only to grab for her hands soon after, lifting each to his lips, he left a kiss to each wrist before releasing them. Raising a brow to gauge her reaction, Axel clicked his tongue against the back of his teeth as he used the hand that held his jacket motioned for her to once again take the lead into the establishment, “After you, Camilla.”
Camilla got a tiny kick out of his prep, watching him trying to assimilate to the Trickshot crowd. She unabashedly watched Axel, peeling off his coat, revealing his porcelain skin, “Yup, this is something I definitely have to see.” Camilla let Axel’s hands take control, his finger on her chin made her lock eyes with him, while feeling his lips on her wrist sent a light chill down her spine. Camilla took her hand, grabbing his index finger, moving it to her mouth, circling her tongue slowly, before lightly biting down and slyly smiled. She pulled away and grabbed his hand again, “Why thank you Axel...” walking through the door, heading straight to the bar.
Camilla sat down on the bar stool and patted to the stool directly next to her, beckoning for the bartender, “I’ll have a rye on the rocks, and whatever my Viking friend wants.” While waiting, Camilla felt like she needed to defend her moment of weakness in regard to her music choice, “I don’t go out of my way listening to ABBA, music just pops into my head and I have no...” Camilla kissing up his jawline moving towards his ear, “...control.” Out of her peripheral, she noticed the drink and raised her glass to Axel, “Here’s to a rousing game Mr. Varangot...”, before taking a giant swig of her drink.
