Mary Louise looked up at the sky. When she heard someone come she didn’t bother to look at them “Have you ever seen a falling star and wished for something?” She asked, still being too fascinated by the stars.
“ I’d be lying if I said I’ve never done it.” Camille added crossing her arms across her chest as she walked further outside. “Sadly, I can’t recall a wish that was granted-- Have any of your’s come true?”
Eli just picked at the food that was handed to him. He finally got over whatever that weird funk he was in but he slowly could feel another happening soon. He looked up at the person. “Is this even edible? Because this doesn’t look like it is.” He spoke as he looked back down at the food in the bowl. “I don’t wanna get food poisoning if that is even possible.”
Looking down at the bowel of food again Camille gave the male a small frown while she picked it up. “I don’t know what you’re looking at, but that looks exactly how normal mac and cheese looks like-- But if you don’t trust it I can order some take out?” She offered placing the bowel back down on the table as she awaited his response.
“It’s actually a funny story.” She chuckled. “We were almost out of orange juice last year and Neal somehow got a hold of the bottle and picked up some mountain dew that was already open and I had no idea but when I drank my orange juice it tasted different and I noticed the mountain dew was gone. So I put two and two together and now I drink it everyday. I even order it when me and Neal go out on date night.”
Listening to her daughter talk about her grandson brought the biggest grin to Cami’s face. “Awe of course it was Neal, I should have guessed that much. I still can’t imagine that it actually tastes good. Maybe it’s because I’m not the biggest fan of Mountain Dew.”
“Hey, you called me?”
“I did? I don’t remember calling you though. My phone’s been acting up lately, so maybe it did it by chance. Though now that you’re here do you mind giving me a hand with these chairs?”
“Look at this hedgehog this is adorable I’m getting this for Zoe.”
“Is that what that is? I thought it might’ve been a porcupine. It is pretty adorable though.”
Freya was in her study working on that same spell that caused her argument with Jaxson the other day. She put her book down and sighed replaying her conversation with her son. She decided it was time to get out of her room and her house for that matter. She grabbed her purse and left her study and started walking down the street passed her house.
Once Cami saw how nice the weather was outside there was nothing that was going to stop her from spending the day out and about plus she did have a few things to pick up.“Well isn’t this a sight to see.” Camile jested as she rested her eyes onto the eldest Mikaleson sister. “I haven’t seen you around much Freya, anything new with you?”
“Any time mom.” Lucas offered with a smile. “Well what’s the point of getting Chinese if you aren’t getting egg rolls?”
“Good point.” Cami responded.with a knowing grin. “So how is work going? Anything over the top happening around here?”
“Ew, that’s disgusting, mom!” She shrieked and laughed at the same time. “I absolutely loved combining my favorite food, like um…barbecue chips and cream cheese, popcorn and garlic spread and my favorite drink of all time and you have to try this is half a glass of orange juice and half a glass of mountain dew.”
“It was nothing, but delicious Lou.” She reprimanded playfully. “The barbecue and cream cheese doesn’t sound too awful, but orange juice and mountain dew? What even possessed you to combine something like that.”
“Why would anybody want to do that?”
“Just to be obnoxious people probably, or if they’re that bored and need something to do. I don’t recommend it though.”
“Why bother trying to learn how to cook, when you can compel someone to do it for you. It saves you the trouble and clearly your family from eating burnt food. That sandwich there is way beyond edible.”
“That’s probably the easiest thing to do, but most of the time I don’t see the point in compelling someone to do something so minimal like cooking. I’m sure to something it would be edible, but not for us I suppose. Next time I’ll compel someone for food when you’re around. How does that sound?”
“Believe it or not I used to hate mushrooms but I started craving them like crazy when I was pregnant and know I love them.” She chuckled.
“It happens a lot, when I was pregnant with you all I wanted was green and red peppers and spicy food. Some of the combinations I came up with still scare me.” Camille shared in the laughter, cringing at some of her own cravings. “There was one time I wanted jalapenos and chocolate so I made them in a milkshake and it’s still my favorite thing in the world.”
Sleeping is good, better than running amuck through the streets at ungodly hours of the night.
“Um…” She thought about it for a moment tapping her finger on her chin. “Chicken and Mushroom. What about you?”
“You and your mushrooms, I have no idea how you can like them.” She teased her daughter quickly. “I think I’ll just stick to good ole pepperoni and some black olives.”
“Hey, you tried, right?” Louisa shrugged. “Well then let’s go get some.”
“Have any ideas on what kind of pizza you want?”
A wide smile on her face Hadley walked into the bar which was usually quiet at this time of the day. With no memory of the previous nights incident she was feeling like herself. When she saw someone sitting alone at a table she pulled out the seat in front of them. “Is this seat taken?” She asked, sitting down before they could answer her.
Camille was searching through the inventory of the bar and was so immersed in the numbers and her own thoughts she didn’t even hear the voice until she looked up and was faced with Hadley. Jumping a bit at the sudden change before she let out a few chuckles. “No, by all means go ahead.” The blonde smiled looking from the paperwork in front of her and back to Hadley. “Isn’t a bit early for the youth to be at a bar?”
