Breakup, mental health scares, and fights with my father.
Buttttt we all know I’m too emotionally attached to Gallavich for letting that get the best of me. I just- didn’t know how to step back into the scene. I thought I’d resurface by sharing what I wrote for Gallavich Masquerade! (This was never submitted as it wasn’t near long enough.) Let me know if y’all want more!
—————
It was a crisp November night. The fallen leaves of autumn crunched beneath the feet of the passerby’s. The wind blew with a howl and nipped the noses of folk that bustled round the town. It was the day most beloved by all; The Gallagher Masquerade. Once in the twelvemonth, the Gallaghers held the ball in their castle for all to attend. All except the Milkovichs. Those families had an emulous contention that dated back many many years. That contention- no matter how hard the families tried, never changed.
The Gallaghers were a peculiar bunch… Lord Gallagher turned to begging- a crime- after gambling away his portion of the family’s fortune. Meanwhile Lady Gallagher had not been seen in years and chose never to appear home. It may come to one’s mind “well then- who threw the grand masquerade?”
That would be Noblewoman Fiona. Fiona was a fine young woman with hair brown like November’s leaves, eyes the same, skin so beautifully pale and fair, and a smile that shone for miles. While she was a strikingly beautiful girl… she had an endless capacity for dissembling. It was up to her to put the festivities in motion.
There was also Nobleman Philip. Being one of the only schooled Gallagher children- he was the wit and counsel of the family. Though Philip had a greatly trusted judgment, the young gentleman tended to be a bit of a boil brained fellow. He was tall, brown hair, striking blue eyes, with a guileful smile that would woo any lady who crossed his path.
Then Deborah. She was fair- that’s for sure- red hair, fine red freckles that adorned her cheeks, as well as beautiful brown marbles for eyes. Ah… she started out on a path of a beautiful young lady, but as she grew, began to show… courtesan behaviors. Though no one liked to admit it, the young woman grew into something her family wished she wouldn’t’ve.
After Deborah came Carl. Carl was the doddypoll child of Lord and Lady Gallagher. His brains were no better than mush, but he was a strikingly handsome fellow for his own circumstances. His hair was brown, much like his elder siblings, and his smile was almost simular of Philip. Carl just loved to help Noblewoman Fiona coordinate the ball.
And Liam! Oh young Liam. The last of Lord and Lady Gallagher’s children. He was witty, caring, kind, but also- wise. He didn’t look like the rest… Skin beautifully swarthy and eyes so deeply brown. The little one was a joy to have around, and he lived for nothing more than the breakfast feast to start the day of the ball.
But it seems a Gallagher has been swept under the rug.. Fiona, Philip, Deborah, Carl, Liam… Goodness. How could anyone forget Ian? Ian Gallagher. The most cunning young nobleman you’d ever meet. He was absolute, brave, honest. The boy was tall, had fair skin, red hair, perplexing green eyes, and a smile that was purely infectious. However he wasn’t like his siblings. Ian was the only of the Gallaghers that held a secret deep down in the dungeons of his heart. Ian was homosexual. He was attracted to other men. And at the time, he’d been intimate with a merchant called Kash. Kash was much too old for Ian, classifying the man’s actions as some near sodomy. Kash bid Ian that their love was betrothed to one another, and that no other would love the young one like he could. But the truth was, Ian had his eye placed upon someone it shan’t had been. Nobleman Mikhailo, of the Milkovich name.
IM SO LATEEE. More girl dad Gallavich cause yall know it’s my kryptonite.
This week’s prompt was: Competition

They were crying- Ian and Mickey. They smiled proudly as Eli stood on the first place podium with a gold medal around her neck. She’d won the district elementary spelling bee, and was going to nationals.
“Papa! Daddy!” Eli shouted, beaming, waving.
“Good job baby!” Ian yelled, smiling through tears.
“That’s my girl! Go Eli! Daddy loves you baby!” Mickey shouted over all the applause.
After everyone was dismissed, Eli ran down and hugged her dads. Mickey got down on her level and whispered,
“No matter what, Eli. Daddy and Papa love you the most. There will never be competition.”
He smiled through it. Fucking Svet. He felt his slippery dick move in and out. He felt her clenching tight. He felt his boyfriend watching. He felt his dad snickering. He felt. But what he really felt was shame. Shame that the person he knew he loved didn’t know it. Shame that he was having sex with this woman he didn’t know. He felt shameful. And that’s all he could do for years; internalize his shame. He felt it fester in his mind and stomach when he looked at Ian. He knew his damn truth. And this shame wasn’t it.
It's once again time for our New Year's Masquerade Ball!
Just like last year, it'll be a mixed one, for fic writers and fanartists! The fanworks will be revealed on December 31st and people will have up to January 31st to cast their votes.
As you now know, in a Masquerade, the creators will produce their works anonymously. These fanworks will all be revealed at the same time on December 31st - our New Year's Masquerade Ball! - and fans will have one month to attempt to guess who's behind each mask, that is, who made what. Creators are encouraged to try to fool everyone!
Details after the read more, but don't forget to please spread the word.
Let's have some fun!
Requirements
All fics must be between 2,000 and 5,000 words. For art, there are no requirements. (Needless to say, AI "works" are not allowed.)
No theme is required nor forbidden, but, as this is an event in which the goal is to have as many people checking out your work as possible, fanworks in niche categories are not advised. Regardless of what you do, please tag accordingly.
I don't know what to write/draw about!
You can get inspiration from anything you want. It can be canon-compliant, canon-divergent, after the show ended, AU...
But, if you still need some ideas, you can find some here, here or here (not to mention @callivich always has tons of prompts lists).
Sign-ups
Signing-up is required and can be done here up to December 30th. For this event, sign-ups can be done up at the time of posting. Unlike other events, this is one where you will need to sign-up only at the end, after the fanwork is done. You'll be required to add your AO3 username and the title of your fanwork.
What if I don't have an AO3 account?
Then I'm very sorry, but in this case, you won't be able to participate (as a creator). For this event, having an AO3 account is mandatory so that you can post in the collection. That being said, a lot of people have AO3 invites, so ask right now and someone may be able to send you one.
Posting
Posting will be done on AO3 and AO3 only! This is because the Masquerade Collection will be unrevealed and anonymous. All posting must be done until December 30th. On December 31st, all fics will be revealed and available for the readers. (The one day difference is to ensure that everyone has posted before I reveal them.) The fanworks will remain anonymous until January 31st, when the game ends. (Please take note that this may be extended if there is a large number of fanworks). On February 1st, the creators' identities will be disclosed (and your fanwork will appear under your account just like any other).
Voting
As a creator, all you have to do is, when posting on AO3, choose to do it under the Gallavich Masquerade 2025 Collection (as in the pictures below). I'll take care of the rest. It's important to do so when posting and not after, or it won't work. You can go to My Works > Works in Collections to confirm that it worked.
Voting will be done via a new form, which will be disclosed only after the fanworks are posted. All titles will be displayed and fans will choose from a menu who they think the creator is. Voting is mandatory in all three guesses. If you don't know who to vote for or if you haven't had a chance to read a fic, for example, just take a guess. Also, you might as well guess three different creators to increase your chances, even if you think you're sure who it is.
Points
There are two ways of winning this game: as a creator and as a fan.
Creators are awarded 1 point for each person who correctly guesses their fic/fanart on the first try, 2 for correct second guesses, 3 for correct third guesses and 7 points for each person who wrongly guesses it (that is, matches three different creators to your fanwork). That's right, you get more points if you're actually able to deceive everyone.
Fans are awarded 5 points for each fanwork they guess correctly on the first guess, 3 for each correct second guess and 1 for each correct third guess (obviously the points are only awarded once, so there's no need to guess the same work more than once).
Creators can also be fans, so they have twice the chance of winning. There will be separate winners for artists and writers as well.
Prizes
Winners will get boasting rights! XD Plus, of course, a special post for them.
If anyone would like to make fanworks for the winners (like art for the winning writers, fics for the winning artists, edits, whatever), please let me know, that would be super nice!
Happy anniversary to my favorite group of nerds. I love you all so much and I’m glad to be back from my break for this special day!
The prompt this week was the photo below :D
@galladrabbles, thank you for all that you do for us ❤️

It was like rolling a D20- Ian Gallagher and Mickey Milkovich meeting. Well, actually, no. They were bound to meet one way or another. The Milkovichs were notorious around the South Side, not for good reasons, so they were bound to have a run in eventually. The couple dating was like that roll. Who would think? “Oh yes. A dirty, mouthy, poor behaved kid and a smart, rotc, service bound carrot top.” No one ever saw it, ever. But the two couldn’t be better. They’re couple everyone and their mother wishes to be. Nothing beats Gallavich. Not even a D20.
Ian and Mickey smiled as their daughter, Eli, walked up to the first door. It was 7:30 on October 31st and Eli’s first time trick or treating with them. She was nine. Beautiful light brown skin, dark brown eyes, and big thick curly hair. She told her dads she wanted to be a princess, so that’s what she was. With her hands shaking just a bit, she rang the door bell. Mickey held his husband’s hand, eyes glassy, as a friendly couple popped out from the door and allowed Eli to pick some treats for her pink pumpkin bucket.
“I have a surprise.” Mickey said softly. It was a crisp autumn day and Ian was cuddled with his husband on their couch.
“Hmm?” Ian asked, still half focused on Fear Street which played in front of them on the TV. Mick sat up and pulled something out of his pocket. He opened his hand and a whole strip of pumpkin spice condoms fell from it. He held them proudly with a smile.
“Holy shit Mick…” Ian chuckled.
“Can’t wait for you to tell me how they taste..” Mickey winked and Ian’s jaw fell slack with shock at the dominance.
Ian was slow dancing with his husband in the kitchen. His hands were around Mickey’s waist, eyes lost in the pair staring back at him. Mickey leaned in and inhaled the scent in front of him, smiling softly.
“You like the way I smell..?”
“So what if I do, Gallagher… you’re mine.” The couple continued dancing. Ian leaned into Mickey’s ear and started singing along with the song in the background.
“Just say yes, 'cause I'm aching and I know you are too.” Mickey began singing as well.
“For the touch of your warm skin. As I breathe you in…”
Ian walked into a dark house. “Mickey…?” He wandered into the kitchen. Suddenly the lights flicked on.
“Happy birthday…” Mick said softly. A cake resided on the table. It said ‘Happy Birthday Ian’ in blue icing.
“You got me a cake…?” Ian smiled softly.
“Red velvet just like you like it…”
“Mick I hate red velvet….” Ian chuckled softly
“Maybe I just got it so you’d have to eat a different one…” Mickey winked and pulled Ian in close, allowing his husband's hands to caress his perfectly round ass. He leaned up and kissed the tall man. “Happy birthday baby…”
I need the new prompt so I can lock in again chat. I miss you all sm. I’ve been reading, liking, and rewatching cause I can’t get enough of them. I miss my boys 💔
