Where to pick up now...
I love you, Cam…
I... I th- think I love you too..
Where to pick up now...
You’re not a hazard, you’re her sister. Stop acting like you’re Satan or the plague. You can turn your life around and let go of the mistakes you made! Exactly, you didn’t want to. So you can’t blame yourself for things that aren’t your fault. Stop being so damn stubborn, Cam! I don’t hate you, I never hated you and I’ll never hate you! So just…accept it and shut up.
Where to pick up now...
You won’t screw up. And if you do…you’ll apologize and try to do better. That’s how life works. Have you tried telling her that? I’m sure she’s more than willing to move past all you two have been through. No, don’t tell me to stop. Because I won’t. I spent two years pretending I hated you to make things easier for me. But the truth us, I’ve loved you from the moment I saw you, Cameron. I knew I was meant to be with you. I just have to wait until you realize it too. And trust me, I’m more than willing to wait for as long as it takes. You’re more than your mistakes.
No I haven't. Knowing Savannah, she'd try to convince me that I wasn't a hazard to her. Which I am. My life is living proof to that. Sav might be able to move past things, but I can't. I hurt people Ethan. Hell, I even hurt you without even wanting to. I'm... you should go back to hating me. It's best for you, cause.. those that care about me seem to be caught in the crossfire. I... don't want to hurt you again.
Where to pick up now...
I know… I really do, Cam. But none of it matters if you’re willing to make up to them. You saved your sister from death. That’s more than most would ever done. All that you did in the past…it doesn’t matter anymore. You’re still you. The same smart, kind, beautiful girl I met two years ago. You just need to see it too again. And that’s how I’ll help you. I’ll remind you of how great you are. And how much I love you for being you.
I'm more than willing, but I'm just scared of screwing up again... I saved my sister. I would never let them kill Sav. Over my dead body. I turned my back on her, to be able to keep her safe. Which backfired. But there isn't anything I wouldn't do to keep Savannah out of harms way and she might have a bigger shot without me in her life. Yo-... Ethan stop. You shouldn't be saying things like that...You shouldn't love me. I'm... I'm n- .. you just shouldn't.
Where to pick up now...
So instead of finding a way not to hurt them, you joined a group that could teach you ow to hurt them even more? That’s…stupid. And I’m sure they would rather have you the way it was before than not at all. Hey, don’t say that… You do belong somewhere. You belong with the people who love you no matter how much you screw up.
It was a stupid choice, I know. I wasn’t thinking. I was pissed, I needed to blow off some steam and they took me in. Back then I hated everyone around me. So trust me, I get what you’re going through right now. But believe me when I say there’s a way out of it. I could help you…If you let me.
It was a rash decision okay? I just... I didn't know what to do, or where to go... I tried not hurting them, and yet it happened. Time and time again. I just jumped into it, and once I was in, there was no turning back. When I made the choice, my sister hated me, my best friend wasn't talking to me, Alex... he was completely ignoring that I even existed. I was lost, Ethan. And when the Pure thing came along, I just.. went for it.. I don't want to fail those people every moment, Ethan.. I can't handle that.
....How would you help me?
Where to pick up now...
I.. yeah.. thank you for that.
No, I.. it’s not just because of that. A lot happened. And it.. I don’t know.. I felt like I didn’t know you anymore. But you saved her and that means you can’t be.. completely lost.
You don't have to thank me, Jack. She's my little sister... I would have brought down hell and worse on that place if needed. In a heartbeat..
... Honestly, I don't know myself anymore. Jack.. I ju- I hurt you, I hurt Sav, I hurt Alex, I hurt... so many people. All people I should care about. Just... I am lost, okay?
Where to pick up now...
No…I never did any of those things. In fact…I never even killed anyone. I couldn’t… But the fact that you know you did wrong and regret it must count for something, right?
Yeah… I just…I was pissed back then, Cam. I felt lost and confused. And they took me in and filled my head with all sorts of bad stuff about you, the gifted people. But I couldn’t bring myself to hurt someone else. It wasn’t them I thought I hated. It was you and Alex.
Not if I keep doing the wrong thing over and over again. I just.. don't want to take the chance to hurt them again. I thought joining the Pures would give me... distance. I mean, if I hurt people I love, why no join an organisation that hurts them. Just go with what apparently is my destiny.. but that didn't work out. Seems I just don't belong anywhere...
You... wait, you joined the Pures because of me and Alex? You mean when you fell off the grid, that's where you went? Because of us?... I.. I knew you were pissed Ethan, but.. that's..
Where to pick up now...
Wouldn’t I? I lost all of my friends too when I joined them.
I…I left the Pures. After what they did to your sister…I couldn’t stay anymore.
Did you ever near kill your own mother? Attempted to kill your best friend? Hurt you sister to a point of emotional wreckage? And many more? Oh, let me word that differently. Have you ever been toxic to the people you love? Story of my life...
You left? I- I don't know what to say... I never asked you why you joined them in the first place, but... I'm glad you left. What happened was an eye opener for me.. I can't be part of a group that'll hurt my sister more than I do..
Where to pick up now...
After everything that happened wit Savvy… I thought… yeah…
Oh... Yeah.. she was lucky that I was there..
Jack.. I'm.. Listen, I'm sorry about everything. I know you hate me right now, but I just want to finally say that.. You don't have to talk to me because of what happened to Sav, Jack..
Where to pick up now...
It doesn’t have to be… I’m glad she’s safe. Cam…uh, there’s something you should know.
It doesn't have to be, but it is.. you wouldn't understand, Ethan.
Thanks... What should I know?
Where to pick up now...
Hi… Why not? There’s nothing stopping you now.
I, uh…I heard about what happened. Is she alright?
I don't know.. it's complicated.
Yeah. She's a little shaken up.. but she'll be fine..
Where to pick up now...
….yeah….
... Why?.. Not that I.. don't want to talk to you...
Where to pick up now...
Where to pick up what?
Jack....Uhh.. you're act- ... you're talking to me..
Where to pick up now...
School? Family? Old friends?
Ethan..... hey.
I.. Uhh, most of those aren't really options anymore..
Where to pick up now...
Unexpected Events || Cameron & Savannah
Savannah’s eyes instantly opened as she heard the female voice. Seeing Cameron’s reaction to the situation made Savannah even more nervous. She was shaking in her seat as she watched it unfold in front of her. Unlike most movies, it didn’t happen in slow motion, but the exact opposite. “Cammy… Don’t hurt her…” The blonde’s voice was raw and barely above a whisper, tears flowing freely down her cheeks. Hearing Cameron’s threat, Savannah couldn’t help but shiver. Something in her voice told her she meant it, that she would not hesitate in killing the Pure standing next to her. It scared her to think that her own sister would be capable of killing for her, but at the same time, she was glad to know she did care after all.
As the other man, Kyle, glanced between the two girls, Savannah noticed something in his eyes. He didn’t seem willing to go down without a fight. He had been gripping his slightly injured hand tightly to his chest. But suddenly, he reached into his best, pulling out a hidden knife and readying himself to drive it right into Savannah’s heart. But even before he had the chance to act, Savannah knew there was something wrong deep within her. Her whole body was shaking more violently and it wasn’t just for fear. Just as he was about to lift the hand that held the knife, Savannah let out a loud scream a rush of electricity ran up and down her body before shooting out like lasers from her tied hands. The sudden explosion sent Kyle flying backwards until his back hit the hard wall. It should have been enough but it wasn’t. The electricity kept flowing through Savannah’s body without her having any sort of control over it. The only light in the room started shivering as the entire room started shaking dangerously. She should stop, she wanted to stop but she couldn’t. Savannah had no idea what was happening to her or how to stop it, which only made her feel even more scared than before.
Cameron was eyeing Kyle as she kept the electrified dagger to Travis' throat. She knew him better than that. She knew he wouldn't go down just like that, and he hated her guts. No way would he listen easily. Her prediction was right. When he reached and grabbed for the knife and went for Savannah, Cameron shouted. ''Kyle! Don't you d-'' She didn't get to finish her sentence. Suddenly Savannah let out a scream and her body lit up. The force of the energy sending Kyle flying back. Cameron's jaw dropped as the entire room started to shake, while electricity kept flowing from her sisters tied hands. Travis used her distraction to slam his fist into her side fiercely. She groaned, and lost her focus on her dagger, making the energy from her hand vanish. Travis instantly ran past her and out the door.
''Dammit..'' she muttered, but he wasn't her biggest problem right now. The room was still shaking and the lights flickered on and off as Savannah kept emitting electric current through her hands. Her expression showed how terrified she was, and Cameron spoke softly.''You're going to be fine, Savannah... calm down.'' She wasn't sure how her sister was using Electricity manipulation, but she knew she could stop her. She took a few steps towards Savannah's chair. ''Breathe, Savvy. I need you to pull back the energy from within, okay?'' The lasers flying all around her didn't phase Cameron. She wasn't scared of electricity. She was used to it. Even immune to certain amounts. Her sister... wasn't. She could hurt herself if she didn't get some control. Savannah's scared expression, and panic only fed into the energy and the beams started flowing more violently. She ha to stop. Without a second thought, Cameron stepped forward, gripping Savannah's hands and letting the energy run straight through her, her body taking in all the energy. Her body lit up and she clenched her teeth together at the sudden force she took in. ''Sav, you need to reel it in. Take a breath and reel it in..'' Cameron put her power in reverse, instead of emitting it, collecting the energy to put minimum damage on her body. It was still a lot to take in, but she had to hold on until Savannah got a grip. At least her sister wasn't a risk to herself anymore. ''Calm down, Savannah.'' She spoke through gritted teeth, looking her sister straight in the eyes.
Unexpected Events || Cameron & Savannah
When Savannah finally came to, it was dark. She could barely distinguish the room from the dark figures watching over her; but she could still feel them there; staring at her. It was when she tried to move that she realized something was holding her in place, binding her by the wrists and ankles. As she tried to free herself, the material only gripped her skin tighter, the roughness making her guess it was most likely rope. “Morning, sunshine.” The voice came from the other side of the room and Savannah lifted her head as best as she could, trying to see through the blurriness in her vision. She wasn’t sure how long she had been in that room, or how long she had been unconscious. “Please…I want to go home.” A low chuckle came from the other side of the room and Savannah felt a shiver run down her spine. Something told her they wouldn’t be letting her go anytime soon. “But we haven’t even started… We have a few questions for you.” That made Savannah frown. What could they possibly want from her? She was just a high schooler who never got in trouble. What could she possibly have that they would want to know? “Like…what were you doing outside? And I’d be careful with the answer if I were you.” It took a moment for her to even register the question. And another minute for her to think of a good answer. She couldn’t say she was following her sister. No, that could put her in danger.
Though Savannah wasn’t sure why in the world her sister would come into a place like the one they were in right now, she still felt as if it was up to her to protect her. “I-I got lost… I’ve never been to this part of town before.” Savannah’s voice was shaky as she tried to calm herself down, panic bubbling up inside her. She could feel her eyes water but she took a deep breath. Suddenly, her head was yanked back by the hair, making her yelp loudly. “I don’t believe you, Savannah.” How did he know her name? Before she had any time to think about it, the man let go of her hair and moved to stand in front of her, gripping her and and bending it back painfully. “Let’s try this again. Why are you here?” Savannah cried out at the stinging pain. She could feel the bone in her wrist giving out the longer the man would hold her hand in that position. She knew if he kept it up, it would surely break. Tears started streaming down her face as she gasped, trying to speak as evenly as she could. “I-I’m telling the truth. P-Please let me go…” It seemed as if her pleading had no effect on the man standing in front of her, since it only made him apply even more pressure to hand. A grunt was heard from across the room, followed by footsteps getting closer and closer to where she was sitting. “This is pointless.” Savannah didn’t have time to see who it was before something hard hit the side of her face, knocking her down on her chair with a loud thud. Her head hit the concrete floor and for a moment, her vision went dark with the impact. “Let’s just kill the bitch. She’s probably as dumb as she looks.” A pair of strong hands gripped Savannah’s shoulders, pulling her and the chair back up. She could feel sort sort of warmth running down her cheek, which she assumed was blood. The man that hit her was now standing in front of her and she could finally see what the object was. He was holding a gun right in front of her face, ready to pull the trigger. Savannah closed her eyes tightly, just waiting for what she knew was coming.
Cameron wasn't sure why she was doing this to herself. She hated witnessing the torture of yet another Gifted, and still she always found herself in these parts of the Facility building. Perhaps she was trying to stun herself enough so she would see she didn't belong here. Weird thing was she already knew she didn't, and yet she stayed. She didn't have another place to go. Kaleb had been more and more absent as of late because.. of reasons. Cameron knew of the things that had happened with him, and yet.. she stuck around here. She didn't speak of Kaleb, or how things were with him with other Pures, but that was just because... the only one she trusted within the Facility was Kaleb. And then there was Ethan, but that was a whole other problem on it's own.
She was getting close to the most used interrogation room of the Facility and she could hear the dreadful sounds inside, which made her sigh deeply. Maybe she should just.. turn back. She was only making herself feel worse by being here every time. She turned on her heel, about to walk back the way she came when the sound of a pleading voice caught her attention. She froze in place, recognizing the soft tone. No way... She turned around, marching towards the interrogation room with large strides. They couldn't have.. She pushed the door open from which the sounds were coming and gasped when what she had feared was actually happening. The one they were torturing, was her sister. Savannah.
The sight of Kyle holding a gun to her sister's head just sent Cameron straight off the edge. Her hand instantly lit up with fully charged electricity and Cameron shot at the gun Kyle was holding. On impact it flew from his hand, leaving Kyle shaking his arm because of the conducted energy that shot through the gun when he was still holding it. ''What the fuck, Kyle?!'' She shouted angrily. ''Get the hell out, Cameron! Unless you wanna join this freak like the freak you are!'' Cameron turned to Travis as he spoke, not hesitating when she rushed him, concentrating her electricity into a dagger shape in her hand before she raised it to his throat. He instantly froze in movement as the dagger of energy was held to his neck, licking a the skin. ''I will not hesitate to kill you, Travis.. not one second. This is my little sister you're hurting, so unless you want me to electrocute the entire facility right this instant, you'll play by my rules..'' Cameron hardly recognized her own voice. The threat in it so dark and violent. ''Kyle! Cut her loose. NOW!'' She called at the other man whom was watching them, not noticing a third form coming from the shadows.
