Pepper, our favorite girl
Total colony collapse :( our bees were robbed by a wild hive and left to starve to death. Nothing we could do. It’s so sad. My precious little workers, their honey is so good. We’ll rebuild with a new Queen in the spring but I’ll miss them this winter.
I do feel comforted though, that I finally healed up one of our chickens who was long time sick. And our baby pepper is doing great.
Post-Halloween experimentation with making swedish style ornaments- sunny mornings in the cabin- afternoon fika via bicycle- cozy, book filled nights.

My fall
I’ve been sick with covid-19 for 9 days now. At first I couldn’t even move, but now I’ve been driving to less populated neighborhoods to strengthen myself up again through walking. My city is so beautiful this time of the year.
Not feeling well. Working on my home remedies and wholesome cooked meals. This flu season is already really rough.

Immune honey (hot honey!)
Thinly chop 2-4 hot peppers for every 1 cup of honey. Simmer on low heat for one hour. Strain and boil. Use as a condiment, or eat directly for sinus health!
