Welcome to Camp Chthonic

Camp Chthonic is a new camp for any and all mythological halfbloods regardless of parentage (or even pantheon). The entrance to the underground camp is the Hidden Gem Cafe and it can move to wherever it is needed.

Camp founders Nico di Angelo and Alabaster Torrington would like to extend an invitation to your PJO OC to be a Camper or an Ambassador:

CAMPER- do you feel like you don’t really fit in at camp half blood or camp Jupiter? Would you like to stay at a camp that’s weirder, darker, and more mysterious. Then Camp Chthonic might just be the place for you. if you would like to be a camper please send a message to @campchthonic in this format (more or less)

As you can see there is a greenhouse for growing plants and a great hall for camp council and events. There is also a diverse range of cabins. Treehouse cabin, waterside cabin regular cabins with outdoor lighting, regular cabins with minimal outdoor lighting, and hey, a literal cave if that’s your thing. (Cabin interior pictures will be released contingent upon interest)

This is essentially meant to be a light rpg-esqe blog for people who wan to create or place an interesting character in the chthonic camp to interact with Nico , Alabaster, and others. Some details

1. Alabaster is half Indian in this (Desi Al)

2. Al and Nico founded the camp. (Backstory will be provided if there is interest)

3. Nico and Al like eachother and they are going to be the absolute last ones to figure it out so they will banter, bicker, and flirt and if you ask them about their relationship they’ll say they’re just friends, co-workers even. This is because they are trying to convince themselves more than than they are trying to convince you.

I might make into a discord server depending on interest. Please feel free to ask for any clarification or any questions!

NICOBASTER WEEKEND 2025 DAY 2 PROMPT: Chthonic, Powers

I used Camp Chthonic AU Nicobaster for this also their powers are chthonic so…it works!

Nico: Hey Al, can you teach me how to manipulate the mist?

Al: Mist manipulation eh? I think I can help you there.

EXPECTATION

<NICO’s>

Nico: (instantly a pro, looking badass) It’s all about feeling, ya know? It comes easier to some more than others

Al: (impressed) wow! You’re amazing!

<ALABASTER’s>

Al: (seductively) It’s all about feeling. It comes easier to some more than others.

Nico: (breathlessly) wow, you’re amazing

REALITY

Nico tries really hard to manipulate the mist and obscure a rock. Al is supportive behind him.

Nico manages to obscure the rock and preens saying “piece of cake”. Al smiles.

Nico instantly passes out asleep from the over exertion and concentration. Al catches his sleepy body saying “oh shi-“

(In Chthonic Au they are the last ones to figure out they are dating, so seduction is out of the question until they both realize)

Happy Nicobaster Weekend 2025! Here I am starting off strong on Day 1: Outcasts.

Behold, this is Nico and Alabaster's room from my and @drksanctuary's Chthonic Camp AU, where they are head councilors together. They share responsibilities and a room~ (they were roommates~). Eventually as they grow closer and Nico's bed becomes more of a surface for them to put their stuff on and they share Alabaster's bed instead. ;)

Alabaster has scrawled some protective rune on the wall ( a hold over from being on the run as much as he has been). and they glow with his breaths. (please enjoy the gif!!)

I tried to add as much detail as i possibly could, but quite honestly i could have kept adding things forever. Birdseye view was so challenging but i had so much fun with it.

I been thinking and if, Nico goes away from the Camp after the Gaea's war and then with Alabaster they found a new camp for the Underworld.

And is a underworld camp not just in the sense of deities, the camp is in the underground this way they can expand without anyone notice. And they use a coffee shop to hide the door to the camp, so they can gain money themselves.

They catch other deemigids too, stray demigod who are trying his best to survive in the streets. They give them a choice, to stay there or to go to the camp they would go.

That is how the other camps found out that exist a Underworld camp, but still can't found them. Because Alabaster not want any of them knowing where they are and Nico knows him long enough to agree with him.

Oh and if I am adding a flavour of romance here, mutual pining Nicobaster with them doing almost everything together and having this puppy eyes every time look at each other.

Camp Half-blood has dryads and nymphs. Camp Jupiter has lars.

Camp Underworld has troglodytes. And skeletons. Hellhounds. I don’t know.

CHB has a shield and CJ has Little Tibre. CU has the freaking Styx. (I hc the Styx is more lenient towards the chthonic residents but i digress)

I would say the god director in residence is Alecto but the woman’s too overworked already, so maybe Zagreus or Hypnos idk. Alabaster is the de facto leader/ senior the same way Luke was back in the days.

Nico is the guarantee that Hades doesn’t disprove of their settlement.

Persephone built their cabins on plants roots and flowers.

Btw the thing i like most ab this tho is that the Underworld’s entrances canonically switch places from time to time. So, technically speaking, should Alabaster figure out a way to navigate it to his own will, he can bring the Camp to their children, instead of waiting for them to arrive on their own. Imagine you are running from a monster and somehow this coffee shop just pop up in the middle of the forest and you dont think before jumping into it and oh it’s a sanctuary—— The other camps could never.

I think Nico would be more like a guardian? Like he coordinates the democratic decisions and he would be the one who make the coffee shop really work as a coffee shop.

And I had forgot that the entrances of the Underworld changed from time to time and that definitely add a possibility of the others to find out about, at least, the coffee shop.

Imagine, you are in a quest with your partners, trying to make it out alive and then a coffee shop appears of nowhere and you enter (bc you three are starving) expecting for a monster cave or a strange god but then they just meet very sweet workers who guide them into their quest and give them a little help with food and medic needs.

The rumors spread and the campers learn about a misterious coffee shop who don't have a "official place" and appears from nowhere when you most need.

(Besides I need to think in a name, maybe I take Hidden Gem from that nicobaster fic I read this days

If was Hidden Gem I bet Nico choose the name bc looks like something he would do, and Alabaster have to deal with the pun ever time they talk about it because they are hidden, in the underground)

OMGs Yes! @yonemurishiroku I love the visual idea of Persephone making cabins out of trees and plants, just making beautiful a organic living situation!

But I am LIVING. For the idea of the cam coming to the Demigods. That idea is PERFECT!

Also @haiseiscute333 I am honored that you would use Hidden Gem, and honestly it fits. Underground Chthonic Camp is perfect.

I think Hypnos would be a cool god counselor. It would add an air of whimsy if he was kinda sleepy all the time. And then campers get up to shenanigans bc Hypnos their supervisor has nodded off?

Also! Do you think the cabins are divided by god parent or is it perhaps a different system?

I'd say the cabins are arranged according to the Alice in the Wonderland figures/places since you know

1/The troglodytes are obsessed with hats

2/The camp is literally underground, accessed through a hole in the Underworld wall

so maybe the Big House equivalence would be the Mad Hatter whilst the White Rabbit is for young boys and Alice is for girls and the Cheshire Cat would be the playroom and the Jabberwocky is the training grounds and the Caterpillar is Hypnos' nickname but that's just me.

The movement in the was higher than usual, and the kids were all out on school. So was just him and Lenny, taking care of the tables and the workers on the kitchen taking care of the requests.

A kiss is placed in his forehead, at the same time arms make his way around his waist.

"Hey, how are you going sweetheart?" Alabaster murmured on his ear, placing other kiss on his forehead.

"Good, just tired I think." He admit, puting his hands above Al's. "I thought you were busy making the new cronograms?"

"Just a little." He answer, playing with his fingers. "Take a time to see you." "

Albescu Keitria Deborah.

•Daughter of Zagreus, in a previous life she was the son of Poseidon. Zagreus creates from his children, from the souls of demigods who have chosen rebirth and mortal blood mixed with his ichor.

•She was born in the 1880s, [August 15, 1882, 03:15 am, to be precise]. Her mother, Albescu Ana Cristina Maria, is a Romanian immigrant who fled from her abusive family and abusive fiance, whom her father wanted her to marry. She moved to Sekim, a town in Clallam County, Washington, USA.

•Her Mother's and Zagreus' relationship was quirplatonic. Ana described Zagreus as "one of the best men she had ever met," and he described her "as an absolutely gorgeous woman in every way who deserved to be the mistress of the stars". They are warm to each other and deeply grateful for the existence of their Debbie, but they did not love each other as Eros would have liked it.

•Zagreus is a caring and loving father, so he made sure that Debbie's childhood and adolescence were as calm as possible. Monsters rarely bothered her. Her father protected her, and her mother loved her. Her childhood was an idealistic bliss, especially for a demigod.

•Zagreus even visited her throughout her life! he rarely had to do this, because Zeus really watched over the fulfillment of this law. This usually happens seven times a year and these meetings last no more than half an hour.

•Her mom is a lesbian and when Debbie was five, she met and fell in love with a woman named Ashlyn Sayles. Ashley fell in love with Debbie as her own and they became a happy little family. Debbie was eight years old when Zagreus created a child for Ana and Ashley, a boy named Simon from their mixed blood. Debbie absolutely adored her little brother.

•She was at Camp half-blood and liked it there, even if her father couldn't claim her and she was considered the "daughter of Hades". She did not want to reveal her divine origin, but she told the children of Hades and her several close friends about her father. Dionysus, being the "reincarnation" of her father, treated her much more warmly than the other demigods. She left the camp at fifteen when all her close friends died and she grieved for them greatly.

•When she turned eighteen, Zagreus felt special concern for his future offsprings, and then he combined these thoughts with his daughter, - Debbie loved her family and was a fierce defender, she would have been an absolutely amazing older sister... He offered her semi-immortality so that she would become the guardian of her future siblings. Debbie agreed. Since then, she has taken care of all her siblings who were born after her.

Good Questions:

is it possible to send multiple Ocs as Campers at the same time?

Yes. however, if you want your OC to get the attention they deserve, I would do one at a time. If they’re siblings or come to camp together I can make an exception but prefer no more than 2 at a time.

and in what chronology does your camp take place?

The same as most of my chronologies do post BoO but with the original prophecy at making Percy 18 instead of 16 ad with Nico entering the Lotus Casino at around 14. Meaning they are all older. But the events of the first two series occur as they did in canon.
