WIW + Progress Pics
Old progress post over here (same photos).
CW: 171.8 lb Last WIW (10.15.15): 176.6 lb Difference: -4.8 lb SW: 233 lb (01.07.15) Total down: 61.2
Ah, so instead of doing a writing assignment, I decided to finally do a progress pictures post. It’s been a while, guys! Here I am, 60 lb later:
Sadly, there’s a not a lot of overall physical change since July, which is the reason I have put off this post for so long. I’ve noticed other changes though. The shape of my arms, my calves, my face. The changes are subtle but they’re what keeps me going. It’s like I’m discovering my body for the first time. I can’t wait to meet the skinny me.
Even though the picture from July and November aren’t much different, the difference between the first and the last is stark. Not until I started losing weight did I realize how big I truly was. When I look in the mirror, I still see myself at 226 lb. I am grateful that the photos show otherwise.
In other news, I haven’t been strictly keto for months. It wasn’t agreeing with me, and I found that eating keto and aiming for a drastic calorie deficit was difficult. I still eat low carb, have only recently added grapefruit to my diet, but now I mainly just count my calories. I find it much, much easier for both my body and mind.
I think I’ll post more photos when I feel like there’s more change, and I don’t think that will come with my first major goal weight of 160 lb. But we’ll see! I just can’t believe that I right now I am only 12 lb overweight! Strange thing to say and a strange thing to be proud of. But after going through most of my life being 50+ pounds overweight, it seems like entering into the promised land.
