i think itās cute when someone texts you after hanging out just to say they had fun with you, idk little things like that mean the world to me
How to Self Rescue in the Event you Fall Through Frozen Ice
With that music I was not expecting this to be a completely serious and informative video
Reasons I'm getting my elephant tattoo:
- Elephants are strong, yet easily frightened. Donāt judge a book by itās cover.
- They are huge, yet hunted by poachers and taken advantage of. Itās to remind me not to take a backseat when it comes to standing up for those who donāt have a voice, and remembering just because someone/thing looks strong on the outside, doesnāt mean they are.
- They are heavily decorated with paints and fabrics by people for festivals etc, I want to remember to not cover myself in clothes and make-up to mask who I am.
- Male elephants travel everywhere alone, whilst the females stick with their families. My uncle has travelled the world and is an inspiration, and I want to do the same. I am also a lot closer with my mum and my sister recently, and the familial bond between elephants is wonderful.
- Elephants are huge, grey and wrinkly, yet still manage to be the most beautiful creature. Just because there are parts of you you donāt like, doesnāt mean they canāt combine to make something beautiful.
- Their trunks. I used to hate my nose, but itās part of me, just like an elephant and itās trunk.
- They are a symbol of chastity, but also of great sexual energy. Aristotle said they stand by their mates, which I think is important.
- They are strong, wise and bring good luck, as well having a good memory. I want my tattoos to bring back these memories, because mine isnāt so great as it is.
- They mourn for their dead and show so much emotion.
- It is also thought they move obstacles out of the way, and I need to remember that when I encounter one, never to give up, just to try and move it.
- As a reminder that I want to travel and volunteer with elephants. Not ride them or exploit them, but try to protect both them and the world they inhabit.
- Oh, and of course it will look AMAZING.
it took nine seconds for me to fully process what i was watching and then i started LAUHGHING

Why are people having so much issue with the article, I agreed with it? The title isnāt the most eloquent thing ever but the article wasnāt encouraging cheating, where you go behind your partners back, but instead looking at the issue of cheating as a not black-and-white thing where thereās one horribly evil person who just wanted to have fun/get laid with one traumatized-for-life victim. Instead, like most- nah, let me say with ANYTHING in real life beyond fiction, the article sees the grays in cheating and why the person cheated in the first place. Not to say that cheating isnāt a horrible thing to do, but I feel like people need to understand that there are reasons people do the things they do. People who cheat are human beings. They could feel horrible about it, they could be trapped in a marriage or relationship that they donāt feel they can escape, they can feel insecure and unloved. Again, not to say itās something you should ever do, but dehumanizing someone over a mistake is just as bad in my opinion. Thereās nowhere where they can talk about their experiences, and itās likely we know a lot of people who have cheated in our lives even if they havenāt (or were too scared) to tell us about it.Ā

I love Gordon Ramsay so much.
He comes from a very poor family. His father was an alcoholic who beat him and his mother (he once poured hot tea over her and put her in hospital several times), his brother is a drug addict, he literally built an empire out of nothing.
He credits his mother as his biggest inspiration and often has her cooking in his shows.
When he left his first restaurant he pulled a successful Jerry Maguire - the entire kitchen staff went with him. That tells you what heās like to work with.
He was one of the first to give a restaurant to a female chef.
He went to prison (Gordon Behind Bars) and taught inmates to bake and they opened a bakery (Bad Boys Bakery) that is still running. He hired one of them when he got out.
He did documentaries about the cruelty of shark hunting and cocaine. (when he discovered cocaine was used by his staff he didnāt fire anyone but made sure they are offered treatment)
His kids are a treasure.
He is always ALWAYS kind to servers.
When one of his partners (MarcusĀ Wareing) wanted to leave they got into a fight and settled it in court, they no longer speak to each other but this is what Marcus said about him after the fight:Ā
I feel bad that the first association to him for a lot of people is this shouty TV chef when heās truly a wonderful person.Ā
Oh and then thereās this:
this entire episodeĀ
never forget that the reason heās āshouty and angryā on his tv show is that heās yelling at people who ignore the rules of courtesy and food safety and basically feed their customers poison, something which would enrage any good person
Uncle Gordon
Gordon is precious and I love him.
Iām really glad people post stuff like this because honestly yes, the only thing I knew about Gordon Ramsey at first was that he swears like a sailor. Itās good to know that heās a much more genuine person than that. This is probably also a good example of how television can shape our perceptions of people; TV producers are going to focus on what gets the most attention, not on what is necessarily best or most true about a person. Itās good to be mindful of that while watching reality shows and movies.

my life in general
I found myself wanting you not when your clothes graced the floor of my bedroom, but when your fingers found their way into my open palm, and danced on the rough calluses. I found myself loving you when you looked not at the big things in life, but the little things that they would always miss.
