Watching him from over the back of the couch as he begins to rummage through his nutrition block, you say nothing for a period of time. Honestly, you’re not handling this situation as badly as you could be. At least you got stuck with someone you actually like, as opposed to being trapped with a person you couldn’t tolerate. Out of all the people you could end up in this situation with, he’s probably one of the higher ones on your list of choice.

At the question you perk up slightly, realizing finally why he has been browsing his fridge. Right, of course. Food. Grubcorn isn’t going to last forever, and if you’re going to be stuck here for a while something actually nutritional is probably a good idea.

"I’m actually fond of cold, to be honest, but I don’t think I’d like it so much if I was forced to deal with it for an extended period of time. Especially while immobile on a couch. That would fucking suck." Running a hand through your hair you nod, giving a small shrug. "Yeah, something to drink would be nice. Do you have hot chocolate? With marshmallows? Do you have marshmallows is really what I’m asking here."

You nod as he speaks, raising your eyebrows at his request of hot chocolate and marshmallows. "I think I have some..." you ponder, walking to a cupboard. You open it and begin rummaging through its contents --  first shelf is coffee, shitty sweetener, powdered creamer that tastes horrible, and a few other things. You hop up onto the counter with a grunt to get to the highest shelf. Pushing past a box of tea, you finally catch glimpse of what you were looking for, taking the box of hot chocolate and placing it down on the counter. Shutting the door, you then hop down and return to the fridge, opening it and snagging a bag right in front of your face.

You wave the package for your alternate to see, smiling wide for the first time in what felt like ages. "Here we are, " you say, ripping into it and taking one of the sugary treats and putting it in your mouth, taking to the task of getting water boiling on the stove for the hot chocolate.
