Moving Is A Bitch (Financially and Physically)
So in 5 days, on May 2nd, I’ll be leaving Georgia to head to Colorado to live with a friend due to Financial Reasons. And said Financial Reasons are also impacting my ability to move there to begin with.
All my belongings are in boxes right now, from my computer equipment I use for work to my clothes and sentimental belongings. And with how heavy these boxes are, shipping them out is expensive. Three boxes weighing at ~20-25 pounds each, the box for my monitor, and one miscellaneous box weight at ~3 pounds. Which the bigger boxes are about $55 a piece to move, the monitor about $35, and the misc box about $15. So together, I have to scrounge up $215 right there.
On top of that, my landlord wants me to cover the time I’ll still be here, which he can let slide a lower number since I’m not here the whole month, so $200 on that front too. $415 in expenses total just to leave this state. Luckily my plane’s already paid for, but at the same time, not so luckily since it limits my timeframe.
So, $415 in expenses to leave this state for some of that Financial Advantage. And I may not be able to do that on my own. And by may, I mean won’t. At all. My tax refunds and last paycheck from my job covered my March and April rents, so I have no more income unless I somehow have a rich relative I never knew about. The thing I have to cover immediately is the boxes, so scrounging up $215 by May 2nd, still need help on that front.
If anyone has any funds to spare, be it like $.20 or $200, I would appreciate any and all the help I can get. My boyfriend, @alphakid, recently did an emergency commissions post to get me food after not being able to afford to eat for a few days, which I have to thank the person who sent over the $30 for food (I never got your URL, so Thank You to whoever is Mr. Stitchez).
