the immune system is one of the few things i've heard of in anatomy that i'd describe as a well-oiled machine, which is really funny because t cells are just chilling in a lymph node looking for things like "that one virus we got 5 years ago and nothing else" while the natural killer cells are just baffled at the fact that their colleagues don't realize the lack of a receptor almost every type of cell has is probably suspicious
it doesn't sound like a good system but compared to things like dna in general i'd say it is. the main divide i'd make with the immune system is "efficient right away" and "has braincells"
