So a while ago I finally figured out what changed to make Frans now one of the most hated ships when it was originally one of the most popular.

And it's simply how we interpret Frisk.

Way back when the main interpretation was a blank slate that you could project onto so you could get attached vicariously to the other characters through Frisk. Like a vessel.

This is how I see it and as an adult woman I see Frisk as the same. This has always been the case this was never not the case.

Then I left the fandom for a while.

When I came back everything changed. Frisk was reinterpreted as forever and always a non-binary child and if you did not accept this you were stupid.

I do not agree with this. I think you're free to interpret it that way, but that is not how I see the character.

Then you see there was the big schism. That is what broke this ship to pieces because I have a feeling a lot of other old fans left as well. So the ones who see it as I do aren't really here anymore. Of course there are a few and I love them all dearly, but the majority seem to have disappeared or got run off. And I fully admit I'm not exactly very present in the fandom either.

So no one was here to contest this and now with new people coming in they see the new interpretation and assume it is always and forever been like this.

That is simply not the case. As an OG fan I can promise you that.

And so now you have this deep seated hatred for something that was never weird and was only made weird in retrospect.

And that sucks because this was my second ship ever. This is what got me into fandom and it hurts my soul to see what first got me here now treated with such derision, and creators for it get accused of being something they are not.

For a long time, I deeply loved Undertale and Frans; it was my obsession. I loved everything created by the incredible artists in this fandom, and that passion made me fall in love with anything related to Frans, Undertale, and its many AUs.

Of course, not everything is perfect. Today, Frans shippers live somewhat on the margins of the fandom, and lately there are several things within the UT/DR community that have been bothering me. I try my best to avoid content that makes me uncomfortable, but that isn’t always possible; and over time, this ends up slowly poisoning my spirit.

Recently, a new passion and obsession has grown inside me in a very intense and overwhelming way. It motivated me to start over and begin creating for a new fandom. Sadly, I’ve come to realize that I only seem to have space for one obsession at a time within myself.

I don’t quite know how to say this, but I don’t want to leave the Frans fandom without explanations or reasons, especially for the people who love my work and have followed me for so long. I feel that I owe you honesty, even if what I’m trying to express is difficult to fully put into words. xD

This is a preliminary farewell. I’ll still be posting my final works for the UT/Frans fandom soon. I will never stop loving this ship, it grew and blossomed in my heart, and it will always be loved. I just don’t know if I’ll ever return to creating for it.

I’ll be continuing to draw and create under a new artistic identity, but I’ll be stepping away from UT/AU, Frans.

It always felt very sad to see a Frans artist simply disappear without explanation, leaving behind those who loved their content feeling orphaned, even though I understood that everything has its cycle, its beginning and its end. And I believe I now find myself in that same situation… something I never expected to happen so quickly, or to change my heart so suddenly. This may not be a definitive farewell. Frans still shines brightly in my heart, but I feel the need to step back for a while.

Hello everyone! I'd like you to meet Soriel, the son of Reaper and Toriel before her passing.

After Toriel's death, Frisk (who was 22 years old at the time) began caring for Soriel with a mother's love, and Soriel, being very young when Toriel died, began calling her "Mom.

Frisk constantly tells him stories about his biological mother, how much she loved him, and what a magnificent woman she was.

Together with Reaper, they cared for Soriel with all their love and affection, and soon Reaper (who had broken off his engagement with Geno months earlier) began to feel romantically attracted to her. With Geno's encouragement (they had an amicable breakup and remained good friends), he tried to reconnect with someone as strongly as Toriel.

I already have drafts of how I will show you this beautiful and sad story, and remember! This story is not connected to the original Reapertale AU; this story is made by fans for fans and has no intention of judging or criticizing the AU or its canon pairings.

I thank all my followers who like my drawings and my style for following me until now, and I intend to bring more and more drawings and eventually show you my own AU! Ship rant warning

Everyone who follows me at this point should know that I ship Frans, and if they read either my intro post or my bio, they would also know that I clearly state that it is not proship, and I actually prefer proshippers DNI. I despise p3d0s due to an experience I had when I was younger, so obviously I’m not gonna depict my favorite ship as proship. Sans and Frisk are always adults/close in age in my drawings and AUs.

But there’s something I don’t understand… I’m gonna bring Xtale into this quite a bit so bear with me. In Xtale, the creator Jakei ships Frisk with Muffet, and everyone thinks that it’s super cute (edit, apparently he did get a lot of threats and hate about it at first, but they stopped because they didn’t want him to stop making Underverse). Yet in Undertale, going off of what the fandom says about Frans, since Muffet is an adult and Frisk is a child, shouldn’t it be considered proship? Even though they’re close in age in the Xtale?

No?

Then Frans isn’t proship either, guys.

Now I’m gonna bring up Charisk. By y’all’s standards, aren’t they both children? “But they’re aged up and close in age.” (Same thing we say btw). Chara died probably hundreds of years before Frisk was even born. I just don’t understand the hypocrisy…

We do not ship Frans when Frisk is a child. We don’t even like the 1-2% of other Frans shippers who do. Literally in the Fransweek and Franstober rules, it specifically says that it has to stay platonic if Frisk is depicted as a child. We hate proshippers just as much as the rest of the fandom.

So please… stop hating on us when we’re doing nothing wrong…
