plagiarizing of tian guan ci fu

okay, so i just got back to my twitter timeline after binging new amsterdam for a while to find it entirely on fire because someone out there plagiarized the entirety of tian guan ci fu and claimed it as their own work. unfortunately i am not kidding and they seem to be profiting off of it as well so this is a serious issue.

i will try to make a post containing all the information i’ve gathered from my twitter timeline so far, and i will try my best to put it in chronological order.

i get that you want to get justice for mxtx and all the hard work she put into writing tgcf, but spreading this on weibo will only have negative effects. technically speaking all fan translations of our favorite danmei novels are a copyright infringement on the author’s original work, so if this issue starts trending on weibo they will most likely take down fan translations of tgcf or mdzs / svsss as well because of copyright strike. this is not what we want to see happen, of course, so please please please refrain from posting about this on weibo if you have a weibo account.

If you have any tokutens from the previous volumes, that would be great and I’d love to translate them as well. 

There’s no rush, I know shipping & delivery services may be delayed because of Covid and I’m not even asking for a perfectly scanned copy, as long as the image is straight and legible, my cleaning friends at Amai Chuudoku and I can handle it. 

If you love the manga and want to support its creator Yamamoto Kotetsuko-sensei, please buy a copy! Till the manga remains unlicensed you can always check out the scanlations along with your own copy of the book to have & to hold!
