VX is actually based on the synthetic gas 'Venomous Agent X' and they're a pseudo-human species called a Toxicus, expiremental beings known for their heightened abilities and also unnatural stamina, what keeps VX alive is their adrenaline, imagine when the Nuckelavee said that they're basically 'the end' VX would probably, as a joke, pull a line from the song Vox Dei, "I'M THE OMEGA!! I'm the flood!" or maybe VX would just try to see if they could sneak up to him or sum
