I've recently been thinking about my needs and the interesting process of having them met in healthy ways. I was given an assignment to create an animal that consisted of my 3 fave animals so I painted a unicorn, zebra and elephant. The feed back was very interesting. Based on the knowledge I have I know what a zebra needs, a unicorn and an elephant but I don't think I've reached a point of knowing what this new morphed creature needs. This being is not just a zebra, a unicorn or an elephant it's all 3, which makes it an entirely different creature with different needs and wants. This whole time I've been seeing myself as separate entities not realizing that I am a creature of variety all in one. The different pieces that make me who I am also make me an entirely different being not just separate pieces. What I have learned is that I'm at a place where I'm not fully aware of myself and all that I encompass just yet and that its ok to be here and still be learning. I have to be patient with the process of self discovery and of peeling the layers of my emotional, mental and spiritual onion. The more in tune I become the more aware I will be of what my needs actually are and the more I can practice getting my needs met in healthy ways. I hope for today you honor your process of self discovery and find new ways to be patient as you unfold before your eyes as you figure out what you need from your support systems and from life. Sometimes you need to disconnect to reconnect 🔌 during a disconnecting period try to get centered and quiet the noise it helps with getting present again and getting present helps with balance. When we're centered and present it helps us with the anxiety that comes with worrying about the future and keep us from morbidly reflecting on the past that cannot be altered. Sometimes we need to take life breaks to just put life into perspective and organize our priorities. There's nothing wrong with taking life breaks and falling off for a bit, life gets overwhelming for all of us. I always think of my phone and when it gets to like 20% on battery life I start freaking out hoping to make it to a charger in time before it dies. Why do I not do the same for myself? While recharging I also get to do a self appraisal and see what's been going on with me. Sometimes I'm so caught up I forget to take care of self and this little break gives me the time to do so. This means appraising myself mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually and figuring out where I need to get to work to better myself. Not for anyone other than for myself. The more I change the more the world around me does too because my perspective on life adjusts to who I am. This is the time line of Tricks set so you don't think I'm full of shit. After waiting till 2 am he came on at 1:53 and was already out of the building by 2:19 AM. And that's with doing like 6 songs but not really fully completing any song annnnd talking about paying someone a thousand dollars to go on stage and show their diseased vagina. Having been a Trick fan for a minute I felt like a horrible Miamian not having seen him perform before so last night I was stoked! We got there at 8 and there was a shit load of openers 😅 Some were dope and some I didn't feel should have even been on stage cuz they were lip syncing which is super annoying and time consuming when trying to get through this many openers. The crowd started getting antsy, frustrated and very full. At one point I got pushed up against the bar to the point that I couldn't breathe and had to leave my perfect spot that I had already been waiting in for FOUR hours!!! Super annoying. Anyways, Trick didn't come on until 2 am. 😒 Honestly, I've been to shows with mad openers, late starting artists and intense crowds but that's not even what pissed me off. After all that he comes out and does like 6 half assed songs spends more time talking about dirty diseased vagina than he does actually finishing even one of his songs. Like what in the actual fuck was that?? His hype man rapped more than he did G shit. Then he's doing his last song which was already bullshit cuz he like just got there but then the mic goes out and he just rides out. 😑 Seriously?! I've been around the music scene for a while and to see someone with no regard for their fans was disappointing. A pointer to all you artists out there NEVER forget where you came from. You wouldn't be shit without your fan base, never take that for granted especially when you're barely relevant. Where's the showmanship? The integrity? Giving back to the fans what was given to you? The fans are the reason any of you artists make it anywhere. Without their support, money, requests and all that you wouldn't have a career. We showed up expecting a damn good Trick show and it seemed to be a pit stop be made in his schedule and was looking for any excuse to be out as soon as possible with not one fuck to give.
