Honestly, I understand your point. If Gabby liked, commented, and reposted even if it was a different photo and not the video, which wouldn't make sense, why should I bother? On the other hand, I also understand the other person because I think that on IG and Tumblr you can control X, no. Posting saying it's Gabby, when the video was filmed with her from behind because in the end I don't think the intention was to show Gabby on X, I don't know, it doesn't seem 100% like the right choice. In the end, if you're a fan of Gabby, you see her on IG on what she posts, not on X after they posted the name and the video. I'm not giving you any responsibility and I just don't like X because it gives people the opportunity to be worse. Also, you already know that not only Gabby's fans watch you, of course you can't control everything

you cannot control who interacts and sees ur stuff on a public instagram or tumblr post to the degree anon is expecting me to on twitter either i fear. whoever sees it is just going to see it. i also doubt that gabby wouldn't expect people who recognised her to not post things on other platforms as that's how social media works. every basketball fan who is also a fan of sasha would've known who it was and gabby would've known that certain things in the video made her recognisable (one of those things being a tattoo she had a whole piece of an ARTICLE dedicate to) , if she was uncomfortable with that being on social media, as a grown woman she absolutely would have said so to her friend with 700k followers. i don't see how posting something that is gabby, gabby has recognised and endorsed is 'not the right choice'. i don't think this is as big of an issue as u and anon are making it out to be considering no one has said anything weird under my post or quoted anything weird.

She reposted the photo.with Sasha not other things. She doesn't repost this video and I never give attention if the person that dance on her shoulder is g4bby. And please at last look at people that reblog your post, they are not Gabby fans or women basket fans. Plus I don't ginkgo people will understand it is Gabby from her shoulder you let people.know.that by tour ostacoli and spreading gabby name.

exactly she reposted the photo of them which means she saw the video and is okay with it. she's 29 years of age and can easily say if not. a lot of the people who have reposted it are my regular reposter's and fans of gabby but even if they weren't, i can't control who sees and interacts with my posts. everyone who saw it knew it was gabby and a lot of basketball fans cross over to sasha too. you don't have to defend gabby on her behalf for something she's not bothered by friend.

i am one of the people who have posted it, it absolutely is her you can tell by her tattoos, hair and jordan sports bra. sasha doesn't seem to have tagged anyone in her post and gabby is a grown woman who can tell her friends to delete things she's not comfortable with. she liked, reposted and commented on the post so i don't see an issue with people reposting a public video of gabby

it’s actually crazy!! the earliest game that i’ve found with pictures of both of them clearly in the frame is this ancient ass blma vs lyon game (WEEKS before the 2020 lockdown) and… who tf are these people?!

i first saw gabby in the 2018 ncaa tournament and i have witnessed her whole career journey but when i look back at old pics i swear she’s unrecognizable. 😭

you don't even have to look at them off of a court to see the glow-up! from tokyo in 2021...

I don’t know if you knew it, but in any case I just remembered that Marine’s very first match in the WNBA was against the Chicago Sky... and she scored 10 points in 16 minutes.

First time that she and Gabby really met 👀

yesss, i knew this and i love it ngl 🥹 i love it so much i’m actually going to yap about it a bit!! (i’m a bit of a hopeless romantic and i love examples of an ‘invisible string’ in relationships 🥰)

marine first entered the 2017 wnba draft, but went undrafted. she was signed to the liberty in 2019 thanks to having a great 2018-2019 euroleague season with tango bourges basket! i absolutely recommend watching this highlight reel:

she averaged 15.1 ppg, which made her the 8th best in the league and the only non-american player in the top 10. she was also 9th best for assists, averaging 4.7 apg!

however, 2019 was a eurobasket year, so she didn’t get to join the liberty until july. luckily, she was playing in eurobasket with her future liberty teammate bria hartley. (note: bria hartley tearing her ACL in 2020 is part of the reason why gabby gets to play on the french national team for the first time in 2021)

france lost to spain in the eurobasket final on july 7th, 2019 in belgrade, serbia (fun fact: marta xargay was the top scorer in the final 👀). 5 days later, marine was in chicago for her very first wnba game!

at this point, gabby is about halfway through her second wnba season with chicago. this is the year where she’s being a backup point guard and also plugging all the holes in the roster when needed. (we know now that she felt really lost in this period of her career, but at the time she seemed like she was just vibing)

new york was returning four or five players from eurobasket, so they were definitely finding their footing through the start of the game. marine and gabby came off the bench at the same time towards the end of the first quarter:

then marine promptly makes her first wnba bucket!! (she and gabby cross paths in transition afterwards)

gabby also has a HUGEEE moment in this game, she does this crazy buzzer-beater alley-oop off of an inbound to end the first half??? (it’s been 6 years and i still think about this play 😭)

marine gets more playing time in the second half and even though the liberty loses, she has a great wnba debut! she scores 10 points in only 16 minutes on the court (as anon pointed out) and she has 3 assists:

after the game, marine takes a "french connection" picture with sky assistant coach yoann cabioc'h and head coach james wade! (for context, yoann is french and james is married to edwige lawson, a former french basketball star)

Fun fact about gab’s new tattoo: If I recall correctly, Gabby's new tattoo first appeared at the KBSL Finals this April, right after the Euroleague Final6 in Zaragoza where she spent a week with Marine cuz all the team got together to play( their teams lived in the same hotel).The tattoo looked red and fresh back then, clearly newly inked, so there’s definitely some theory about who gave her that MMMJ TATTOO (allegedly) on her left thigh (also MJ’s favorite part).👀👀
