I hate to make this post especially so soon after the last one, but I'm really, really struggling right now and need all the help I can get.
I am disabled and this month, despite being approved for continuation right before, lost my EBT benefits for "inactivity". I just got intensive dental surgery where I had all of my top pallet removed, and am still in recovery. I just only now got off the pain meds they had me on.
I don't like asking for money at all, especially not from people who are here for my free art, something I've also been struggling to make. But I am really panicked, everything happened at once and I got the notice that my benefits would be ending literal days before my surgery, and their office was closed over the weekend so I was only able to call the day before my extractions. I am not able to call now, due to the pain and the inability to use my mouth correctly. Once healed enough, I will be fighting for my benefits, but I don't expect that for at least a week and a half if not more. And I'm out of food now. My roommate and partial caretaker frequents the food pantry for both of us, but even with both of us on EBT, we struggle to support ourselves. Losing my benefits is going to be a major blow.
