Queen Lucy had called him that, though never when she thought he was listening. ‘He’s such a dear, don’t you think, Susan?’ she had asked one night, whispering into the dark as the sisters were prone to. He allowed himself a moment to miss them with all the force his heart could muster then pushed it aside.

"I am Reepicheep, my lady. Knight of Narnia. Who might you be?"
