So in addition to visual art I've been playing, booking, and promoting #noise shows the last few years! This is a poster I made for a thing next week. If you're in #tulsa you should come through and support your local scene!
A little preparatory sketch for a thing! The thing is 19 pages long and the deadline is on 26 July, I am going to die at my drafting table
I forgot to post this here, but here's the #cover of my upcoming #graphicnovel The Ardent, due out with Fieldmouse Press this year!
Read a process post here.
Hey again Tumblr. Been a minute. Here's an article I did for The Root, a Tulsa based scene newsletter. I'm going to be doing more of these I hope!
The above graces the back of my business card, now available from me wherever I happen to be at any time.
A reunion and a fever. This marks the end of second of three chapters of my 2014 graphic novella The Pestle. I’m still proud of this work, dear readers, despite the amount of progress I have made as an artist and as a storyteller in the intervening time. I am aware that were I to ‘redo’ this comic, I would have made many different choices and the end result would likely be more attractive in several ways, but looking backward with regret is a sure road to madness. My intent is to share the third chapter with you all later this year, and conceivably a bit more of my work from this period and later. We will see what the fates have in store. You can read part 1 in its entirety here, and purchase a complete print edition here. I recommend the print edition for multiple reasons: the artwork reads better, the binding is nice, and I could definitely use your cash.
The beautiful @redinkradio has been out of the country for the past couple weeks. Instead of *just* wallowing, I've been drawing pictures of her as warm-ups. Here's today's!
In which a cold shoulder is turned, and the Author’s apparent inability to convincingly render children is confirmed. You can read part 1 in its entirety here, and purchase a complete print edition here. I recommend the print edition for multiple reasons: the artwork reads better, the binding is nice, and I could definitely use your cash.
In which push comes to shove, and #classtrash is talked. You can read part 1 in its entirety here, and purchase a complete print edition here. I recommend the print edition for multiple reasons: the artwork reads better, the binding is nice, and I could definitely use your cash.
Allow your humble and contrite author to extend his sincerest apologies to you all, dear readers; Our work schedule has been ever so hectic and our Focus so diffuse as to have allowed us to have been remiss in our sacred purpose of sharing the above parts of our Yarn with you all in the scheduled manner. The Remainder of this chapter has been enqueued against future lapses in attention. Feel Free, my dearest and beloved Reader, to ‘click’ upon the above images in order to enlarge them for easier persual. You can read part 1 in its entirety here, and purchase a complete print edition here. I recommend the print edition for multiple reasons: the artwork reads better, the binding is nice, and I could definitely use your cash.
It’s tuesday again, dear friends, and that means it’s time for an AUTOPSY.

At long last, my friends, the time has come to share The Pestle in its entirety! Longtime fans will likely already have the handbound edition in their possession, but for those of you who haven’t yet read this tale of woe, I present to you the first three pages of Part II. Part I is archived here, and if you hate waiting, you can purchase the complete edition HERE.
I do recommend the print edition: the stark black and white art doesn’t read as well on screen as it does on paper. Watch for the next two pages next Tuesday!
America, here are some self-portraits for you. I hope you like jokes! These are available in a lil mini I released this year called “Portraits of the Artist,” which you can buy here: http://cantocomics.bigcartel.com
as it was foretold, I am become a crosshatcher
