we've had a plan to group up and wear tartan main pieces for a while, and my chosen piece is a btssb op. so imagine the relief when the heatwave broke for just today with a max of 21C lol

the blouse is polyester like most of Atepie's blouses, but the sleeves offer nice ventilation so I never overheated or sweated too much

there was a craft market on today just by pure chance, and we met someone running an event in an underground jail (?!) who was super interested in if we'd join for costuming for that!

these days a lot of event flyers are genai crap, and 'maker' stalls often are the same if the showrunners are bought in, so it would be nice to vend as an artist/crafter to help balance the odds...

the afternoon tea itself was nice, and I thought it was funny my bag photobombed the first pic so I just committed to the bit for the day.

we went around a few shops, found this alternative/band memorabilia store where I eavesdropped on a really excited teenager buying gothy stuff she liked with her mum. I also bought my books for travelling next week, but have already nearly finished Demian. the other book is The Left Hand of Darkness so I think that'll last me long enough?

all in all, I'm glad the heatwave was kind enough to us for just today... if I can be spared on the day of my flight...

yes!!!! I love a good deep sea siliceous ooze..... I have some facial mud mask stuff containing cosmetic grade diatomaceous earth, which is why I remembered them. diatoms really are everywhere. they're on my face.
