It takes time and effort. Do you know how many times I gave my mothers food poisoning just from messing up a scrambled egg when I was younger? Plenty. Practice makes perfect.”

She followed him back towards the villas, slightly worried she’d run into someone familiar  but did her best not to think about it. “I don’t know… I’ll eat anything you make, I think,” she said before letting out a small laugh at the suggestion of her helping, “I don’t think you want that. I tend to ruin anything thing I touch.”

“Really? Anything?” He asked with a smirk as he raised a brow. He knew he was a great cook, but he did manage to fuck up a couple of times when he was on his own. “Now, I’m sure that’s not true. Besides, I’m a culinary instructor. You can’t mess up food while I’m in the kitchen with you.” With a nod, he slipped his hands into his pockets for a bit more comfort as he walked. “I’ll even show you a trick or two on how to not mess up. Culinary school doesn’t teach you the tricks I know.”

Caroline could think of nearly a thousand different reasons not to let someone she hardly knew into her home, but then again, she had the tendency to simply assume the worst of people. “And thanking you for it is the polite thing to do, Sir,” she replied with a smile.

She gave him a small smile, still not really believing him completely but not pressing the matter, “Thank you…” She forced herself not to read further into the meaning of his words, her brain automatically hoping to find meaning or reason to tell her that she wasn’t important. “That’s still very kind of you. Not many Dominants would open up their home like that.”

Cristian had never thought any less of anyone if they had done no wrong to him. Caroline had done no such thing and he was sure of that. “Not many Dominants are like me, bella. Yes, I wish to avoid any of these potential situation. As my needs lean towards very intense scenes, I know how important it is for myself and the reassurance and some level of attention required afterwards. Thank you for your compliment, Sir, but it’s just me here on my own. I work in the restaurant but I have managed a few scenes with the Dominants here at Orenda. Your version of aftercare sounds quite lovely. May I ask what your idea of comfort food is?

Mine can be as well, depending on the person and my needs match theirs. I provide a lot of attention and reassurance to any submissive under my care. It’s always been a positive quality from what I’ve been told. Oh, you work in the restaurant? I didn’t know that. I work as the Culinary Instructor for the participants. I teach those who cannot cook so they can be able to provide meals for themselves and their partners. Thank you for the compliment about my aftercare, I try my best to be a good Dom and role model for those who are still trying to make their ground as one. As for my idea of comfort food, it’s the food that brings a smile to someone’s face just thinking about it. My comfort food is Lasagne alla Bolognese, since there’s nothing like it with mia madre’s recipe. What food makes you smile, bella?
