Picture me: Sitting In a slightly uncomfortable wooden chair that's older than my parents. It's not the chair's fault it's uncomfortable. It's time's fault for restricting me to this chair. This chair was not meant for a lengthy sit. Side stage. Dim light. Roaring a-tonal piano screaming through an opening in the wall to my left and an opening between the wall and the curtain in front of me. The program says there are ten songs before intermission. Ten seems like thirty eight at this point. The pianist is a nice enough guy. Australian. Of course bias is at work because Australian accents automatically make a person significantly more interesting. Patiently awaiting the first ten songs to run their course. They sound like they so badly want to be beautifully written orthodox ballads. Instead they have glaring, high pitched blemishes. Me oh my. Anyway.
Thank god for tumblr, anyway.
I'm enjoying this music, I promise. Contemporary piano is absolutely my favourite thing to listen to. What makes you think I'm being the slightest bit sarcastic?
I am so sad :)
I can’t stop thinking about this video it’s haunting me ,,,

Po-Mo Party: Point Supreme Revamp an Athens Apartment
Point Supreme Architects, founded in Rotterdam in 2007 and now based in Athens, integrates research, architecture, urbanism, landscape and urban design. For their Nadja apartment renovation, the architects connected two floors with a bright yellow staircase, conceiving each level as opposing spatial experiences. The lower level is a continuous, “marine-like environment” with large pieces of furniture “anchoring the family’s communal activities like floating islands.” Instead of the typical division of rooms for kitchen, dining, living and playing, spaces in Nadja are flexible and look towards each other. The most central element is a complex construction featuring the stair, living room and kitchen cupboards, a glass display partition, a built-in plant pot, a blackboard and a pink sun rising towards upstairs. It is a miniature piece of architecture in itself providing a focal point within the large open plan. As studio co-founder Konstantinos Pantazis notes, “What is Postmodern in the apartment is mainly its diversity: the vivid juxtapositions, extensive use of colour and texture create an intense emotional and physical experience that is very non-Modern.” Point Supreme join over 100 architect, artists, and designers featuring work at the inaugural Chicago Architecture Biennial this October.
Well done:
Today I built a pair of desks using bamboo tops from IKEA and black Hairpin legs. Theres even a suspended cable tidy beneath each.
