“I love thrifting, I always find the cutest bags or shirts when I thrift. It’s like a really hard scavenger hunt to find super cute stuff though sometimes.” She looked at the streets and then directed the blonde to make a left at the next light. “So are you done with your finals and stuff yet?”

          “  sweet  ,  you got it.  ”  nods his head and follows capri to her car. he couldn’t wait until finals were over. he prided himself on good academics but it took a lot of effort  &  he was ready for a break. even if he did take summer classes  ,  it was always a lot easier than taking fall or spring classes.  “  at this point  ,  i feel like i’m just as ready as i can be for finals  ,  you know  ?  what is the last week gonna do  ?  nothing. ” muses softly as they walk  ,  hands tucked into the pockets of his jacket.  “  what if i just skip the whole last week of classes and just show up for finals  ?  ”

She unlocked her door and hopped into the car putting the address into her GPS. She honestly was terrible at directions even if she knew where to go she’d still turn it on just in case. “I feel it. I want the semester to be over too. Honestly I could skip my finals and still have an A in a couple classes and like two B’s. You can skip the finals as long as you’re still going to be passing your classes.”

“Alright cool, hopefully I can find it.” She said while starting up her car and driving off. “So what stores should we go to? Does fashion nova have a store open? If so, I will be showing up at it.”

“Once we get close I’ll tell you where to do it’s not too hard to find a parking spot either.” She said then looked down at her phone responding to a couple text messages. “I’m not sure if they have one open here yet. But I hope so I love their jeans. I want to go to Free People and Aldo they have so many cute shoes. What stores do you want to go to?”

“Well, what are we waiting on, girl let’s go.” Maia said walking happily to her car, putting on her seat belt on. “Which mall though? I heard of outdoor malls too, we could do that.”

“You to lead the way.” She said laughing while following Maia to her car. “I like outdoor malls, it makes it seem like we’re in like twelve different places at once. And it’s nice out today. I think the closest one is on Main.”

“Okay so summer is coming up, which means we need to go to the mall and buy more clothes. So who’s coming who’s driving?” Maia happily exclaimed with a big floofy sun hat on her head.

“I’ll come if you drive, I one hundred percent need some new jumpsuits and summer dresses.” Capri was already putting together outfits together in her head that she didn’t even own yet the ideas were already running in her head.

         “  you got it. whatever you want as long as i don’t have to be here for a while.  ”  always liked spending time with capri anyway  ,  so it was a win  -  win situation for him.  “  i’ll wait until we get outside. don’t worry.  ”  gets everything he had packed up and slings his bag over his shoulder  ,  heading out of the library as soon as she was ready.  “  doesn’t matter to me. i can drive if you want me to  ,  just gotta tell me where you wanna go.  ”

Pri loved spending time with Cruz but they haven’t really gotten to in a while considering everything that they both had going on and with finals. She followed behind Cruz as they headed out of the library. “I’ll drive I know this really cool little burger place their menu is amazing, they have all kinds of shakes too.” The girl quickly stopped and searched through her full bag looking for her Lex U landyard to find her car keys. “I parked around back there was not one spot up here.”

There were TOO many people around for Pri’s liking. She could usually handle a crowd but it seemed like no one understood what personal space was tonight. She had already been bumped into, had her toes stepped on, and now someone had someone spill their drink all over her. That was it for her that was the last straw. She was already overly irritated, that mixed with the liquor in her system brought out a side to Capri that she usually doesn’t show. Pri is usually really sweet and understanding but for some reason tonight just was not the night. She didn’t know who had spilled the drink but they were about to catch all of the heat that had built up over the night. “What the fuck is wrong with you? Do you NOT know how to watch where the hell you’re going!?!” Pri made sure the other heard her over the music that was blaring through the party.

          he shouldn’t be here —- noah feels it the moment he steps over the threshold of the frat house, floorboards trembling with the pulse of base beneath his feet. it’s too much like it had been then , identical down to the same loud, crappy music, cheap alcohol and faces flickering in and out of shadow and light. it feels a bit like an ABSTRACT painting — something he files away for later as he pushes through in search of drinks. when twenty minutes and two drinks don’t even make the feeling go away, and he nurses his third and passes time in a blur of pressing, sweaty bodies. getting passed BUZZED never really appealed to him — blacking out certainly didn’t either ; as free as creative license is, remaining in full control of his faculties remained important. it’s an opinion that hasn’t been changed MUCH — until now. 

          he shouldn’t be surprised, really ; all the facts add up to an easy equation : this is kie’s frat , kie gets affectionate, braver when drunk , noah certainly has no claim in this equation anymore. still it settles uneasy and bitter in him, and he suddenly gets the overwhelming urge to get very, very drunk. he doesn’t LINGER — he’s not stupid enough for that — instead turns and pushes back in the direction of the kitchen in search of vodka. he gets turned around, loses time in another throng of jumping bodies. by the time he makes it to his destination, he’s lost who knows how much time and his cup somewhere along the way. he rattles through one of the cabinets in search of a replacement when he hears company through the lizzo blaring throughout the entire house.       “ —– should i even BOTHER looking for more cups ?? ”       he asks, pushing aside a stack of paper plates, back still to the newcomer.      “ or do you think anyone will care if i make off with the rest of the bottle. ”

The entire house was packed and honestly it was a little too much for Capri. All the bodies touching her all the drunk people stepping on her toes was becoming a little too much. She pushed her way through the crowd and headed into the kitchen where she finally had some space to breathe. “I wouldn’t bother I’m sure you won’t find any usable cups anymore.” She said leaning against the counter sipping on her drink, she had honestly been babysitting it the entire time. She knew her limits and knew if she got too drunk one accidental bump could turn into a fight, she was a whole different beast when drunk. “Just take the bottle, you could be drinking it in front of whoever bought it and they’d be so drunk they wouldn’t even notice. You’re drinking the whole things by yourself?”

she admired capri’s work ethic .       because ,  while they were sat in the library for hours ,   hope didn’t get half as much work done .    in fact  ,   she was only on her second paper ,   the header reading :   EDITH PLUMM.   that’s it  .     and yet  ,  whenever capri expresses her exhausted she is ,   hope nods in agreement .    “   yes ,  please !  i have done next to none of my work but i still feel like i need a break .   ”

One thing about Capri was she was going to get her work done, she always tried to get it done early. Especially because of her scholarships and she played a sport and wouldn’t ever risk having to miss anymore games. “Yes! What do you want to do. I’m down for anything that isn’t here. Next to none isn’t none you tried that’s enough.” She said jokingly laughing as she placed her computer back in her bag and zipping up making sure she was ready to go.

        cruz had been busting his ass  ,  that was a fact. the end of the semester was truly the worst  ,  and it was almost like capri could sense that he was over it.  “  god  , please. i don’t even care what we do just get me off of this campus for at least an hour. if i have to read another line  ,  capri  ,  i’ll scream.  ”  he was serious  ,  too.  “  what do you wanna do  ?  ”

“Okay we’re going to go get some dessert or something I kind of want a shake.” She needed to get off campus too. Even though she had an apartment not on campus the whole routine of going to class, practice, therapy then home was getting so boring. “Don’t scream in here though.” She said with a laugh as she started to pack up her laptop and put it back in her backpack along with her notebooks and colored pens placing everything in it’s designated spot. “You want to drive or me?”

A deep sigh escaped Capri’s lips as she put her head down on the library table. She had been in there for hours and had finished a project, an online test, and a paper. She lifted her head and closed her laptop. “Okay I’m burnt out and give up on everything. Let’s go do...something please.” She asked to the other Squad member sitting next to her.

“Well thank you for warning me. I won’t call search and rescue now, when I don’t hear from you for a week after finals.” She chuckled, nodding. “Well, it’s a universally loved flavour so I figure it’s the best type to carry round, you know? There aren’t really many people that don’t like chocolate chip.” She replied with a small smile. “That’s the advice I seem to be getting from everyone. It’s just so hard, you know? I feel like I can’t stay away from him, and when I’m with him, all the bad stuff, just doesn’t seem to be there.” She shook her head, before beaming at the compliment. “Really? Do you want another?”

“Yeah don’t send a search party or a wellness check or anything. It is. I wish they made chocolate chip cookies without the chocolate chips. Does that make sense? It’s like I only want the cookie without all the chocolate.” She took another bite of the cookie then just nodded her head. “I get it. It’s one of those easier said than done things. Especially when someone can make you feel that good, it’s kind of rare. But I still think you need to do it. I mean it’s not like taking months apart or anything just like a couple days dedicated to figuring out exactly what you guys need to talk about, what you’re going to say, the good things, the bad things, write it down too so you don’t forget. Then when you’re ready just talk about it. Just on your time though.” As soon as she finished her cookie she nodded her head and placed out her hand for another one. “Yeah thanks.”

“i always know when it’s the last few weeks of a semester. i just saw a guy in the library beat himself over the head with a textbook three times before yelling ‘i’m so stupid!’ into the silent room. can i just say… mood?” isabella recounted the story, giggling softly at the memory.

“Once the semester comes close to ending there are so many people that have never been in the library before stressing out. But I get him completely.” It was crazy how finals time made people so stressed out. “I wonder if his head is okay?”

“I try.” She grinned, shaking her head as she started to make notes from her textbook. “It better be a killer nap. I don’t want to hear from you for at least three days because you were napping so hard.” She giggled, sliding one towards Capri. “They’re chocolate chip. I’m boring like that.” She sighed, shrugging. “I don’t know what’s going on with us. Talking doesn’t seem to be working so well, but I hate the thought of leaving things like this, you know? I still care about him a lot. Being honest, I still love him. Vegas made me realise that.”

“Oh you won’t hear from me for like a week, that’s how good this nap is going to be. I can already feel it.” Capri said with a slight chuckle. She was always in the mood to joke even during the most serious conversations. “I love chocolate chip, that’s my favorite.” She took a quick bite and nodded her head listening to Gracie speak. “Just try and go a couple days without talking. Maybe let things cool off some I guess before talking again. That might help the both of you guys clear your heads you need to talk some stuff out. I hope stuff turns out okay though. These cookies are pretty good.”

seeing as it was capri, chase couldn’t help but smile. the two had a rollercoaster of a relationship, but he still managed to never get tired of her company. the good days were great and the bad days were bad, but nothing he couldn’t handle. “sorry ‘bout it, babe. i’ll invite you next time. i do always have more fun when you’re around,” he said with a smirk. chase watched as she took the bag and began to eat them, a small chuckle escaping his lips at the sight. “you know what? it’s kinda sexy watching you devour those cheetos. it gives me all sorts of ideas,” he teased, knowing his remarks were far from appropriate. 

Hearing his response let her know that today was a good day, a day where they could joke a play around with each other. “Please do, just the thought of you not rolling my blunts hurts my heart.” Capri said playfully putting her hand to her chest and gripping her heart while the other hand dug another Cheeto out of the bag. Her eyebrow raised then she glared at Chase looking him right in his eyes while she playfully licked the Cheeto before popping it into her mouth. She just couldn’t help herself from teasing him especially if he started it. Even if she wasn’t serious with her actions she always thought it was fun to see how he would react. “How exactly are Cheetos sexual Chase?”
