he’s not used to it, seeing fin even a little inebriated it was always so foreign of a sight. made him remember all the times they had spent trying to show one another their lives, open each other up to the newest of experiences, allowing them to see that opposites could bring the good out in each other. although it’s not exactly what caught his eye - no, the look on his face was speaking volumes without words. enough to get slater on his feet without a second thought, never was one for sitting on an idea or holding back. he acted, without thinking most of the time. knew enough that he’d missed seeing fin around, that he still cared even though he was almost certain fin must hold hatred in his heart for him. leaning over to grab himself a drink slater sidled up beside fin, allowing him the chance to. “ hello fin.” voice so subtle and nonchalant as if the past had eluded them both. “ you’re drinking tonight... we both know that's.. usually unlike you.” voice quiet as people buzzed around, knowing well enough that this wasn’t fins scene, the commotion and crowd “ so, trying to forget something tonight... or someone..?”
