ps—because apparently this needs to be said—i’m an adult who interacts with mature or problematic content. i don’t police or bully ppl over fiction or ships; i truly could not give less of a fuck what ppl do with cartoons. like seriously.

hiya joan, hope you're well!! sorry if this is a vague/repetitive question but do you have any advice for getting back into writing? i really love your art and i want to start writing again, poems, prose, short stories, but its been so long i feel a bit lost

Just start doing it! Write badly! Write unfinished! Write stream of consciousness until you stumble on something resembling an idea and then begin to shape it like dough. Writing can be finger painting abstract shapes on the window sometimes. Language is a box of wooden blocks and you are a toddler.
