basically, i think the general rule of thumb is: if someone REALLY wants the blood that’s inside of your body, and they’re like… a vampire, or a dracula, or some sort of mansquito, then that’s probably okay. a dracula and a mansquito are made for removing things like blood and swords from inside your body. that’s basically fine.

if something wants to get at your blood, and they’re, say, some kind of murdersaurus, or maybe a really big frog, that’s where the problems start to arise. a really frog is not made for removing blood, and your blood knows this, which is why it is so vehement about wanting to stay IN your body instead of coming out. 

unfortunately this will not deter a really big frog, because a really big frog is full of things like prizes, and value, and quite a lot of hatred, and it would REALLY rather like to replace any and all of those things with your blood, and basically by any means possible.

No these women have common experiences with us and we should stand by them. Also restoring your ability to have enjoyable sex isn't using HRT for sick kicks either. Menopause and other endocrine issues that HRT can be prescribed for have real serious impacts on quality of life for those who experience them. Testosterone revitalised my mother when her access to other HRT was blocked. Estrogen is a big risk factor for breast cancer, so after you've had it, that's off the table. My manager at work also takes it. Shes healthier, happier and easier to work with.

I want these women to have access to hormones. I want them to take control of their relationship with their bodies and learn to see hormones not as scary but as a useful tool that can help them to feel more like themselves. HRT is a liberating experience a lot more of us could be sharing. If there was larger demand for HRT from a more mixed audience, that would benefit us. Solidarity and common interests make us strong. Using common experiences to demystify trans existence makes us strong. Compassion also makes us strong. Conjuring degenerate sex-crazed strawman enemies to be angry at is not a great look. Just in general.

one cool thing about having an autistic dad whose special interest is underwater spearfishing is that when he catches fish he'll just call up a nearby chinese restaurant like "hi. i caught a fish. can you cook it and i'll bring my family by?" and they're like "yeah sure come on over white boy" and the fish is delicious.

it's worth adding that my mom is chinese and she always gets embarrassed by this. like she doesn't want to come to the restaurant with us. she doesn't want to be seen with the white man she caught plus the fish that her white man caught. everyone who works at the restaurant thinks my dad is awesome and compliments him + her for choosing him and we all find this very fun except for her.
