Frozen to the Core |Hook - Emma|
October had hit hard for Storybrooke, usually it wasnât even this cold in Boston. Emma could easily remember the nights there and how it felt comfortable usually. But despite the cold that whipped about the air now, she had been out at the docks on the edge of town. Lately everything had been going pretty well. She had her parents now, after twenty-eight years. Plus her son and Regina was leaving him alone. For this she was thankful and finally happy.
Standing upon the docks her hazel eyes closed as the moon reflected off of her blond locks of hair. A few tendrils swaying in the wind as it rushed past. Tightening her arms below her bust she let a small shiver roll through her form. The temperature seemed to be dropping faster than it should have been. She didnât know why, maybe it was just her so she tried to ignore it. Opening her eyes she peered out at the water as the moons rays bounced off of it. It seemed peaceful and relaxed her more. A small smile slowly crept across her facial features as she watched the small waves rippling back and forth.
The longer she stood here, the calmer things became until it felt like she had fallen into a silent trance. Thinking back to everything that had happened lately, both good and bad in her life. It wasnât until she came out of the light trance that she felt her hands turn numb within her gloves. Unfortunately the feeling didnât stop there. It seemed to spread from her hands up her arms and ultimately into her chest and work its way down. Almost like magic was slowly working through her body, but this wasnât her own doing and no one else was around. So what was this?
Emma had no explanation; she just knew it couldnât be good. The sudden need to find someplace warm burrowed its way into her mind. Making a sharp turn in direction of the town, she paused. Grannyâs was too far away, this odd feeling if it was a spell it would freeze her solid by the time she reached her destination. The only other option, the one thing that was closer was right next to her.
Glancing from the right side of her visage she frowned. âNo. You canât go in there. What if he finds you?â  *Well it would be better than freezing to death!* âHeâs a pirate, you canât trust him!â *What other choice is there? He canât be that bad* âHave you really forgotten everything? All the lies, the tricks, the games? What about the giant? Aurora?â *This is different.* âHow is this different? Youâll be in his ship! He can do whatever he wants in there! No one will think to come looking for you here.â So many thoughts in her head, as if she were arguing with herself mentally as the cold continue to work its way down her limbs and into her toes.
Taking in a deep breath, Emma let it out slowly and forced herself to move. Walking up the wooden plank that led on-board of the Jolly Roger that Hook owned. God, this wasnât a good idea and she knew that very well. But freezing? That wasnât really something she wanted to do and this seemed much more acceptable? Was that right? Well she hoped it was because the urge to find warmth was growing even stronger within her mind now.
Making her way across the deck her eyes skimmed the ship. She had never been on board before, not yet. But scouting and searching for anything interesting would have to wait. It didnât take long before she spotted what appeared to be the door to the captainâs cabin. âThere you are.â Trailing towards it she went to open the door only to find it locked. Frustration left from her lips as she sighed and slammed her palm against the door with enough force to make it open under the pressure. Though only a âthudâ was made from the contact. The result had caused her to jump a bit but she quickly calmed herself and hurried inside. When the door shut behind her she turned her head and fell still. She had to remember that she was on Killianâs ship now, more importantly, in his chambers. He could be anywhere and was probably well aware of her presence by now.
Moving her hand away from the closed door Emma continued to look around before spotting what appeared to be his bed. Maybe a cot or something? Killian probably slept on better that much was true, but she wouldnât know it. Not yet. Shrugging her shoulders a bit allowing them to roll, she made her way towards it before kneeling down to reach out and grab the available blanket. Rather quickly she wrapped it around herself while kicking off her boots to let them fall on the floor as she climbed onto the bed. As she sat there in the warm fabric, her body continued to give off small shivers. Her grasp on the sheet was so tight her knuckles where now white. It just wasnât working, his blanket. It made her groan softly in irritation and frustration. There was one other thing she could do, but Emma would be damned if she were about to take her shirt and pants off in his cabin. However her subconscious seemed to think otherwise. *If he hasnât shown up by now, what makes you think he will just because youâre trying to survive and get warm? Either warm up or possibly die!* Sadly Emma couldnât argue with that logic, even though she really wanted to. Dying just wasnât an option, not yet at least. So instead of letting herself stay as she was, she released the blanket slowly and moved her shaking hands to her shirt. Gripping the bottom of the fabric she pulled it up over her head and let it fall to the floor a moment after. The pants she was still a bit hesitant about. This was not a good idea. There was no way in hell sheâd do this otherwise. Or she wouldnât admit that she might in other situations. But in the last month or so she had learned that sometimes one had to do what they didnât want to in order to survive. Letting out a small sigh her fingers undid the clasp of her pants as she shoved them off, kicking the last pant leg off she quickly darted back onto the bed and curled up in the blanket one more time. The warmth now working slightly better, since the cold clothes were off, though she still had her undergarments on.
"I'm growing impatient," Hook declared, wanting to sink down in the chair and actually fall asleep, or anything other then this therepy session he was being forced to endure. Happiness, that was what he was searching for, and if the damn cricket could help a puppet turn into a boy, then he could bloody hell help him with this. Right? "With all due respect, Mister Jon-" "Captain." "...Captain. It's not like you're trying to cooperate. I've listed many things you could do. Get a job here, live in Storybrooke, help in trying to find a way back to the Enchanted Forest..." The cricket frowned, noticing he had lost the pirate's attention once again, and sighed. "...You can't have Emma. I know that's what you want me to tell you." Hook sighed, realizing that he could deny what Archie just said, and then have him continue on with his list of endless happiness-searching possibilites... but he couldn't. It's not like he's ever quite denied it before, but for Emma's sake.. it's not like he confirmed it as something more then meaningless flirting. Silence fell between the two men, and it was already getting late. "You now.. there is one other option." "And what would that be, Cricket?" Hook replied, raising a brow. "You could just.. leave Storybrooke." With a quirked eyebrow, the therepist got his attention. "You weren't brought here by the curse, therefore you are not restricted to staying here and living among us. You've got a ship. The world.. it could be yours for the taking... in a matter of speaking." Killian couldn't say it was a bad idea; who would deny a second chance to start over where people didn't know your past (unless you count that awful Disney movie... they got everything so wrong). He didn't think he would really consider it; leaving Emma, and the only people he's ever really known behind. Not to mention, Hook honestly didn't believe he would join this world either. However, he stood up from the chair, extending his only hand out. "I can't believe I'm about to say this.. but you're right. I'm.. I'm gonna do it." No sense in saying he was going to say goodbye when he had nobody to really say it to. And Emma? ... It would be too weird... After a few moments of possible distrust from Archie, he grasped the pirates hand in a firm shake and the two walked out of the building together. Before parting ways, a smile grew on Killian's face. "So, you remember when I kidnapped you and-" "No need to bring up-" "Hush now, I'm apologizing. Perhaps, even.. you'll trust that I mean it, too." Not waiting for a response, he starts making his way toward his ship with a small glint of excitement. I'm going to get a good night's sleep, and leave in the morning. Nothing is going to get in the way of these plans, not even a bottle of rum... Of course, when he stepped into his quarters, strugging off his heavy leather jacket and shucking his boots off into the corner- the last thing he expected was to see the very woman he was planning on avoiding in his bed. Usually, he'd be overjoyed at the mere thought of a woman waiting for him in such a state, but this woman was either confused, or just downright cruel. "You know, Ms. Swan. I gave you many oppertunities to be in this bed, but-" But what? He had things to do? What was he even supposed to say. "What are you doing here, exactly?"
