Regulus is a far more interesting character when he’s complicit in his own tragedy. The fact he genuinely bought into blood supremacy, joined the Death Eaters, and then had to face the consequences of that choice is what makes his story compelling.

We can speculate endlessly about why and to what extent he changed his mind. To me, it’s way more interesting seeing him do the messy and hard work of unlearning the ideology he was raised with, rather than narratives that make him blameless or make him realise fascism is bad because he fancies someone.

I mean I know a certain level of projection on fictional characters and situations is inevitable and even healthy, but sometimes you got to step back into the real world to remind yourself that Character X is not your shitty parent/abusive ex/asshole boss/bully from high school, and that people who like Character X are not personally victimizing you.

Ron gets far too much hate. Despite being not all that emotionally aware, he is the emotional support friend of the group to help Harry through his anger and Hermione through her anxiety. Which is pretty important.
