So, I finally finished Servant and first of all, it's sad that we don't have enough fanfics of Dorothy and Leanne cuz their relationship is by far the best part of the show.
Leanne mommy issues is something that almost gets Freudian. By the end she is just a kid that had real love and the closest thing she ever had of that was Dorothy being nice to her in that interview when she was younger. She grows up in an abusive house and after that she still was picked by some weird as cult, so of course she would be all shorts of fucked up in the head.
The thing is she is just a little girl who craves for a mom just as much as Dorothy is a mom who craves for her child. But both of them were so mentally ill in their pain that they weren't unable to see that, only truly understanding by the end. And that's why Dorothy didn't get mad at Leanne or something, after she remembered the truth, because only then she truly saw Leanne but it was already too late, Leanne couldn't live with the things she did to get what she wanted.
The guilt, the fucking guilt. Leanne is such a tragic character
I honestly don't think she fancy Dorothy in a sexual way but the need, the almost desperation to feel touched and held by Dorothy is something worth mentioning.
The Church stuff it's weird and I don't think it was well worked. Are they evil? Are they angels? The show also doesn't decide if Leanne is something all supernatural or if she is just troubled. All the weird shit she did was it just a coincidence or she did had powers?
Anyway it was already a good show but it could have been a lot better if the twists and mysteries were better revealed and more clear
