Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh so tired of complaining about grad school. I'm annoyed, I know the people in my life are annoyed but ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Really just trying to figure out if its the stress of the pandemic, politics, working a full-time job, or if I'm just being lazy but I just want to go down to taking one class a semester which means that it will take me FOREVER to get through my masters. UgHGHGHGHhgGHGHGH

I literally don’t use my tumblr anymore but I feel like I can’t post this on my other social media, even if it is just a shout into the void.

I want to freaking quit grad school so bad!!!!!! Or just take one class at a time but I can’T BECAUSE I HAVE TO GET THROUGH THE PROGRAM I’M CURRENTLY IN TO GET TO THE OTHER PROGRAM SO I CAN HAVE TWO DEGREES. I can just stop and only take one of the programs and then like reapply later to come back and take classes from the other one but ugh.. I don’t want to have to reapply. That probably made little sense but I don’t care to go back and edit it. ITs also been great (!!!!) hearing from people who went through the program not too long ago that I currently work with telling me that the programs essentially does not teach you anything useful. I love hearing that. :) I knew it was true to some extent, but I expect a little bit more from the programs. I love that the field I’m in just wants you to have the master’s. They don’t actually care what you learned in your program. Just get the master’s and enslave yourself to volunteering and interning. That’s the only place you’re really going to learn anything! INSTEAD OF THE CLASSROOM WHERE YOU PAY THEM A LOT OF MONEY TO TEACH YOU THINGS! :) :) :) :)  I just have 0 motivation now after undergrad, or possibly because of the pandemic (since it literally hit like 2 months after I graduated). I’m going to say it is the pandemic. Goshhhhhh I just want to go through this program one class at a time. It will take me for freaking ever, but oh my god this sucks.  I’ve been looking at the syllabi for the classes and I’m already stressed out. My chest is already tight and I just want to drop it. I’m sure I’ll make it out just fine, but I’m a perfectionist. I’m really angry and myself for getting a B last semester (I know leave me alone). I really bullshat my entire like final essay. I didn’t really speak in seminars because I never actually had the time to digest wtf we were reading (since it was like IDK 4000 PAGES???) after I had finished it. I keep telling myself I literally work full time. I have to cut corners to be able to function, period. 

also WHY THE F DO YOU HAVE TO ASSIGN 300 PAGES A WEEK FOR READING. WHY. WHAT THE FRICK IS THE REASONING BEHIND IT. THERE IS LITERALLY NO REASON WHY ALL MY CLASSES SHOULD BE ASSIGNING 300 PAGES EACH AND EXPECTING US TO TALK ABOUT IT AND WRITE ABOUT IT. WE DON’T HAVE THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAYBE BC I WORK FULL TIME????  I JUST DO NOT UNDERSTAND.
