This the last blog of the semester and on current event I want talk about is police corruption. Police corruption is a form of police misconduct in which law enforcement officers break their social contract and abuse their power for personal or department gain. One type of police corruption is when police officers receive free drinks, meals, and other gratuities, because they are police officers, whether intentionally or unintentionally, they convey an image of corruption. Some police officers believe because they have a police badge they can walk and talk as they wish. Is unfair I believe if you are police officer then you should wear it with honor. The reason why is because you signed up to be an officer and you suppose to serve our communities and protect us. Demanding or receiving payment for criminal offenses, to overlook a crime or a possible future crime. Types of bribery are protection for illegal activities, ticket fixing, altering testimony, destroying evidence, and selling criminal information. Bribery is one of the most common acts of corruption. Is become so sad that we can't trust our own police officers. Because they worry about themselves first before they care about us. Like just recently there was a video of group of police who raided a weed dispensary and they smoked all the weed on camera and never got arrested for doing that. My high school teacher always told me that they will always have on bad apple in a bunch of good apples that influence every one else. Police corruption is a complex phenomenon, which does not readily submit to simple analysis. It is a problem that has and will continue to affect us all, whether we are civilians or law enforcement officers. It will always affect all of us. It just sad we can have trust in the world. Police officers we need to better and become our heroes instead of our foes. We can have a better place with a better justice system.

Entering the Real World

I’m at a point in my life where I have experienced my childhood and getting towards that stage of a very young man and I need to live up to the expectations i’m about to face once I graduate college. I feel like the older I become faster time flies away and is catching up with me. I remember the days when I a child I used to go to school, come home, watch television, hang out with friends, do something recreational and I would still have plenty of my day left. Now I could barely do all those things in one day for example when I was in middle school and entering high school I wasn’t thinking about college and my future I was just living in the moment as every kid enjoys and lives their childhood. Now me being in my sophomore year I’m starting to realize I’m about 2 years away from graduating and stepping into the real world, where you work, pay bills, start a family, and etc. I want to enjoy every opportunity and moment of my college experience that I have left because these years fly by. As people refer college as the last free years of your life for a long time; because that’s the last time you’ll have complete freedom and live life without as many worries. This year I got my first job ever because I thought that I needed some experience in a work field so that I could have responsibility and also to become better at time management. I also needed to get used to working a certain amount of hours so I can experience how it feels, and at the same time why not work and meet new people than not doing anything productive and staying in dorm sleeping or doing something not important. I may never know who I might meet and I’m trying to use this time in college to become more involved and make connections and networking with people so that when I step into real life I could better prepare myself. I’m also taking this opportunity to stretch my knowledge on how to become more successful in life  and I know that studies says that most college graduate don’t get a job within 1 year of their graduation and that It takes long for them to find one. I’m not trying to be one of  those statistics I’m trying to be different by knowing my resources and networks. So this is a pivotal moment in my life and I’m trying to make the best decisions for me and the most beneficial.

Yeah I am trying make all the smart decisions in my life because I want to lead to something good. I want to live a nice life and be successful. I want everything to be planned well and I want everything to go well and I want to enjoy my life all the time. So I agree with you so much a about this everything is to be about descisions.

Dancerpreneur

There will be times when you have no performing work, you haven’t had a call back in a while, your students aren’t progressing like you want, your choreography is stuck, you keep interviewing for that arts admin job, but you don’t get it – in other words it looks the everything is just BAD – yet you continue – you push on – you don’t give up. • You’re Creative And you use that creativity to solve problems. Entrepreneurs are infinitely clever. You have resources but more important you are resourceful – using what you have to get where you want to go. • You Take Action Dancers have an action based problem-solving approach and more times than not just “go for it” rather than over analyzing a strategy and spending time writing a detailed plan. • You have too many good ideas – all the time Your brain never stops working. That the way to follow your dreams. I always stay focus on trying to achieve my goals. I like the determination and the way you don't try to give up. Always try to keep your head up high and you can't let anything get in the way of want to achieve. Also try to remember that will be obstacles but those are just temporary step by step you will get rid of those obstacles. Life is about reaching goal and you gotta keep reaching for the stars for it won't. E long till you reach the ultimate ladder.

Breaking points. We all have them and we are bound to have one as life moves on. Honestly, I expect the average person to get to that serious point at least 4 times in their life, most likely even more. My thing is, how do you deal with them? Sure enough people will always tell you that you need to lift yourself up and give you some advice that fits into your tailored situation/ problem. But what happens when you just don’t have anyone to hear those words from?

Well you see, I got to a breaking point last night. I was shocked when it actually happened myself. I didn’t know I could feel so vulnerable and alone when I am use to having people around me. But when that one situation just adds the final weight to the platter, you notice that you no longer can hold it anymore and it all comes crashing down. But the situation that you go through is not the problem even though your reaction is blown out of proportion. It feels like when you watch a person open a champagne bottle and the cork goes flying through the air. Everyone is excited about the champagne but no one wonders where the cork goes.

That’s how I feel. Like the cork that bottled everything in. Everyone loves the razzle dazzle of drama but forget that there is so much more that meets the eye. Not to make a sob story but when you are dealing with family issues, grades not being where they need to be, having a job because you have to take care of yourself, and now your health is not up to par, it weighs on you. You put on a smile to ease everyone’s comfort level cause lets face it, who wants to deal with someone’s problems?

It is a sad place when you get to that point. When you reach it, you see who is truly there. You see who is paying attention to your need of help. You ultimately see who really just cares for you. But when you face the fact that there isn’t much people and they are more like acquaintances, what do you do? And guys, no I am not talking about anything that would lead to self harm but more of you mentally just fading away to the background. We all get there, but I guess my question to you is, how do you pick yourself back up?

I totally I agree with this. In life you definitely will reach break points. I have definitely reached a break point in my life where I just overthinking all the time. Is just a time where you forget things and you just be at peace with your self. You wanna be alone and no one to brother. Just need time to yourself and just let yourself think and be free from everything. You literally just want be locked in a room all y yourself and just be you yourself and I. Is so sad that you sometimes you just want to be away from the world sometimes. I think sometimes it helps tho to be away from things and try to aim for a new beginning or a new start.

Rough week

This has a been a very rough week front the start. I haven't had a good day this week. I had to study for plenty of exams and prepare for presentations that require a lot of my time. School has literally been piling up with work and there is no time to slack or able to chill. It has reach that point in the semester where it has been kicked up a notch. School has become the number one priority and there is no time to sleep or rest. I have been literally spending all my days reading,finishing up work, studying and trying to have a little now and then. I have been working so hard that I have slept full hours in a long while. I feel like a zombie dead and just emotionless. School is what is going to decide my future and I can't slack now because I want to be successful as bad as anyone in the world. They is a saying if you want to be successful you have to lack sleep, you have to not be tired and you would do anything to be successful. Being successful is not hand to anyone you have to earn it and want it and bleed for it. You gotta go through obstacles and keep pushing forward. You can't let anyone or anything come in the way of you being anything you wanna be. If you want to be a superhero well you can work as hard as you can to be the best super hero that you can be. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't. Don't ever put your head down and say that I can't continue. You always have to remind your self that there is a light some where in the darkness and sometimes you have to keep walking in that darkness to finally see the light. Or think about as a mountain eventually the mountain will end but you got to find the top of the mountain in order to say you accomplish set something. This week literally has sucked. I forgot to mention that my phone got broken and I had to pay to get fixed. Oh man what a rough week. I felt like life has never sucked more than this week but I will not let one week stop my success and continuation to work hard. I will always continue to be a hard worker and I want to be successful and I want to enjoy my success. I want to one day sit back and say look what I have accomplished and look at me now . Cause knowing everything was earned and not given is the best feeling in the world. I would sleep no hours if I have to and that cause I want it bad. I want more to life than just to give up on something I know I work hard for. I always try to remember that every week is a new challenge and everyday is a new obstacle. Is all up to you how you tackle that obstacle and how you want to go at it.

Missing home

Every time Sunday comes around I miss home even more. I miss getting dressed up with my family to go to church. I miss my bed. I miss the naps that I use to take. The smell of my mother cooking or my grandma. The Spanish juices in my home. I miss my big flat screen tv in my bedroom. My video game chair. Even though in college I have a flat screen tv is not as big as the one in my room and way better and more clear. I miss the channels. In college you get a certain amount of channels and it kind of sucks. I also miss the cleaning with everyone in my family while we listening to music. I miss the cousins and nephews. The uncles and aunts. I miss my friends back home. I miss Times Square. I miss actual corner stores where they are not to far. Everything in buffalo is far away. I miss driving around the streets of Brooklyn. I miss my grand mother breakfasts. I miss the parks back home that are actually filled with people and kids. I miss the New York City air. I miss walking up and down my block. I miss my old job. I miss being able to sleep. I never get sleep in college. I always feel tired and exhausted from working so hard on school work. I miss being lazy and be able to go hangout in restaurants. I miss my friends being each other house and playing videos games. I miss playing football with my old team. Don't get me wrong I love college life and I enjoy it a lot. But I think I have reached the point of being home sick. I don't know I guess after a while people get bored of being in the same place and I believe that has happen to me. Buffalo is not a bad place but home is a place that could never be taken away or replaced. I love my city and it could never be taken away from home. One day I wanna travel the world but I will always return home because that is where it is at. I can't wait to go back home because I miss it so much and I miss my family and everyone in it. Project 1: DS:EoA

I am not going to give away the full title of my project! However, my topic of choice is depression. I choose to right about depression because there’s a stigma that surrounds victims of depression and I want to educate my peers on what depression really is and how it affects us all. When I first learned about depression I was one of many who said, “How can you be sad for so long that you can’t function”, “it’s just an excuse to not get over something, just move on.” Those where some of the statements used by myself and others who didn’t understand depression. As I got older I started to encounter people with ‘clinical’ depression, meaning they were actually diagnosed and given treatment for their depression. Through my encounter with such wonderful people who had no complete control over what was happening to them, I realized that I needed to understand depression. I needed to understand it so that I can explain it to myself and others every day; I needed to be part of the solution and not the problem. I am an aspiring Cardiologist and anything that affects the heart, mind and body is of great concern to me so it’s my duty to conduct such research and seek a solution/cure. Depression has yet to be officially labeled as something other than an ‘emotional disorder’ but the truth is depression is a neurological abnormality. It stems from the brain, the physical and measurable cause of depression has to do with a dysfunction in your neurotransmitters (NT). Our ‘normal’ neurotransmitters are deigned to pass on signals and substances that help us function but for someone with depression, your NT just doesn’t work correctly. The ‘feel good’ signal/substance in your brain is not being transmitted correctly and therefore you don’t feel good at all. Sometimes you may have thoughts of suicide even when watching your favorite movie. Interesting right, however, ‘the real research is finding out what is causing the ‘feel good’ signal/substance from being transmitted?’ This project has become very personal and I intend to continue my research and enlightenment on this matter after this project is completed. More information will be provided to you on the day of ‘presentations’thank you!

Depression is not a joke, it is not a phase that you can just get over, and if you are someone suffering form depression; please seek help.

Depression is something that has to be taken seriously because it can trigger so many other things. Depression can also lead to many sducidal thoughts. Suicide can be a very serious things because people can be afraid to do many things. Also those type of people thinking about death and at any money those type of people can break. People who are depress I don't believe that pills work because pills can also trigger depressing even more and only would work for a minute. Life is hard and sometimes is not very easy and at any time any one can break. That why sometime j believe that we have to be gentle to certain people because they are so fragile and so soft that anything or anyone can hurt them. Depression becomes such a mental issue that it so hard to identify or how to deal with people like this can they life is literal on a edge. I could imagine how hard it is to always live on the edge or always thinking that some thing is wrong. It just must be the worst and hardest time for some one.

For my first project, I have decided to discuss and find information of why there is a recession of African- American baseball players in the major leagues. As the years pass less and less of black baseball players appear to play in a professional team. They are many issues on why this is happening, but I’m also curious and interested to find out what’s being done to get this issue fixed. Baseball needs diversity in players and that includes having African- Americans in the game. I would like to hear any feedback my audience has about this issue on why it’s happening, and ways that could help this problem diminish. I plan to do some research on the statistics on African- Americans playing for Major League Baseball since the 1970’s. This way I can see it’s peak, it’s increase, and also its decrease. There was many legendary black players in the past and at this pace we won’t see many more in the near future. Players like Willie Mays, Jackie Robinson, Bob Gibson, Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, and many more had all in some way, shape or form changed baseball forever and changed the dynamics of the game in a positive way. I wonder how this issue impacts communities and families of African- Americans and their view on baseball. I ask many people what they think about baseball and they mostly answer it’s boring, or I’m not interested, because they don’t have a role model that can lead by example and open doors for blacks in baseball again. Every kid always has its idols and person they look up to. For example in basketball the face of the sport now is LeBron James, almost everyone wants to be like LeBron or follow his footsteps. He leads by good example. That could be a reason why basketball is becoming a mostly black dominated sport. Back to baseball, there are sports figures like All Star Mike Trout, Bryce Harper, but this isn’t going to help the cause on the lack of black baseball players in the game. Me growing up in a spanish and black community playing baseball as a kid I mostly played against spanish kids and noticed there wasn’t many black kids to play against. Matter of fact I have played against more white kids when I used to travel than black kids. So could there be a lack of motivation in trying baseball at young age? Why not give the sport a try before deciding to not like it or participate in it? I will try to find the best information I can to answer questions me or others may have regarding this issue.

I don't know why we have less Africa Americans in the sport of baseball. I believe is because they find it boring. Cause every time I ask one of my friends they always tell me there is no excitement but I totally disagree with them. They don't know the type of practice and skills it takes to really master the game of baseball. It will have you ultimately stressed out. Don't believe is easy because the game of baseball requires a lot of stamina and a lot of energy and a lot of concentration. But I also agree with you I don't believe people give it a try and nobody knows how really fun the game of baseball can be.

What do you want to be when you grow up? Is the most common question asked starting in elementary school. Now really think about this, how can a 7-year-old know what they want to do for the rest of their life? They obviously can’t. In society we have this “restriction” on having to know what we want to be when we grow up but why? When you’re in high school that’s when this issue starts becoming a bigger problem. It mainly starts in 11th grade like after SAT’s and then teachers and parents and uncles and aunts and EVERYONE in the world starts questioning, what are you going to school for? What do you want to be when you grow up? Honestly no one has a DAMN clue, were still teenagers! How are we asked to decide the rest of our life when were only 17/18 years’ old? It’s like when I was a senior in High school, I had no clue what I wanted to be or do. I didn’t want to go to college when I did really know what I wanted to do or know what to major in for the rest of my life, so why pay all this money for college when I didn’t know what I wanted to do. All my life I was asked so what do you want to be when you grow up and when the time finally came I had to decide I had no clue. So my junior year I decided to go into the military, my step dad was a former Marine and talked to me about the military and the benefits. He made it seem so awesome because of all the benefits and being able to travel but the only thing that really held me back was the actual PT (physical training) and the work that came with it like boot camp. So I was basically doing it for all the wrong reason more for the benefit and experience rather then because it was really what I wanted to do. Then came senior year and while all my friends were applying and getting accepted into college I was doing nothing just meeting with recruiters. Then half way in to senior year, I woke up one day and said I didn’t want to go into the military. That’s when I decided I wanted to be a teacher, my whole life I loved kids. When I was younger I would always say I wanted to be a teacher but I thought it was just a little kids dream so as I got older I really didn’t care for it. But It is what I wanted to do, so I applied to Buffalo State College a couple months before school ended and I got in! Now I am pursuing my dream. But it was so difficult to decide because I’ve had this pressure my whole life, constant questioning and nagging about what to be or what to do especially with the military career. I think in society we need to learn to stop nagging! And questioning constantly! In time we will all decide what we want to be or do.

I agree because we are young and how are we at suppose at a young age suppose to know what we want to do with our lives. I have to experience my life first and see things in the world. How am I supposed to know at a very young age of how I wanna spend the rest of my life. Sometimes the pressure gets to you that you just pick any thing on the spot but deep down inside you know you have no idea what you want to do. I also feel that society sets us up for failure and the pressure becomes so real that sometimes we crack. Eventually I will decide but all I ask for is for time and Some space

Adulthood

Like every living species on Earth, we start off with our mothers (for argument sake). Mothers are awesome! They nurture, protect, and teach you what it takes to survive on this big blue planet. However, no one holds your hand better than our mommies, so when it is time to finally let go, the world suddenly gets a little bit bigger.

No more being told what to do or following explicit orders. A child must now become an adult. Well duh, this is just the process that all life (minus plants of course) has to go through. There is just something about that leap that is so terrifying. Take a step back now, mothers just happen to know what to do when to do it which is why we feel safe. Children need their moms because no one knows how to do something better than your mom. Yeah we can figure it out but chances are mother already knows. Fast forward, as young adults now, we are the ones starting our adult lives. We are the ones who will have children of our own. We are the ones that when shit goes down the little one will turn to us and we will need to find a solution for them. Scary, I know! Life almost goes by too fast when you think about it.

We live in interesting times where things are more accessible yet just as puzzling. The tools of the past might not be needed in the future. For instance, social communication, we can get away with not speaking to others by going on our tiny devices to avoid a conversation. Now, momma has always tried to get me to speak up and people just encouraged it…not so much anymore though. Why? We should want our future children to be brave in every situation. We should want them to have scruples by learning from past experience. We should want them to know what it takes just to live in this hard knock world instead of losing themselves in the digital world because they cannot get in trouble.

We should want more for our kids. We should want more from ourselves because we are the next runners up. We have to be better adults and set a path that leads to brighter, more successful, and more thoughtful adults than we are now. Lets be the adults that our mothers (and fathers) wanted us to be.

Is so scary that I am already becoming an adult. My life has felt like a breeze. I started as a small little fetus and now I am developed. I had no beard and now I got a full beard. Time really does fly. I definitely agree with you we need to want more for our kids especially with technology on the rise. Technology plays a huge role because I believe it has now become a distraction for some of us. More of our young people know how to use a phone or laptop or any technology better than how to get a school work finished. That why it is up to us to set a good example and help the younger generation and lead into the right direction. It pretty crazy how we can grow up so fast and start to be come role models to other people. We have to lead by example and especially our kids because we can't let the fall behind. Is especially now when life is becoming so dangerous and a lot less of doors open.

Picking out a topic for my project became such a tough one for me. I didn’t want to do the standard super hero theme or about how cafeteria food is just bad. I wanted to do something that can lead to such drastic ideas that make everyone think to other topics. I choose to do my topic on the differences in the schools from new York and Georgia. It sounds weird but you would find that it is an interesting topic when you look more into it. I have been in both high schools in Georgia and in new York and you would be shocked to know my own experience. When I was in Georgia, we had a lot of resources and teachers at hand whenever we need. There was so much to do. In the beginning of the year, we had lockers and we were all assigned books that we would keep there. We would go from class to class as the bell rung to signal when to leave. We would always have morning announcements through the tv that the students from the BVC club. We had homeroom so they would hand out important information or use that time to study for a little bit. On occasion, we would meet up in homeroom when we had a pep ralley. We would all walk into the gymnasium and gather into the correct section of bleachers. As for me, I would be in the marching band. I would play little songs to get the crowd excited for the game that will be played later on that night. There was many clubs and organization that ranged from so many interests and topics. They all were active and were well represented in the school.

But as I went to school in New York, I found that it was different. As I set foot into my first day of school, I noticed that my school shared the building with 5 other schools. I found it weird but didn’t mind it at all. I also noticed that I didn’t get any books for my subjects. Matter of fact, you didn’t get a locker or no supplies to help me through school. I noticed that if you had a notebook and a pen, you were pretty much set for your day. There were no football fields as well as not much clubs except for the music club and it wasn’t music for classical but for modern day. Our classes were only equipped with an old chalk board no central AC. Only one of the classrooms had a smart board and that was considered of our more “tech savvy” room that we had to share with the school next to us. It is sad to come from a school that has so much to teachers having to come out of pocet just for chalk. No real classes were taken because no one had the funding for it. They came up with creative classes title so they wouldn’t have to use the required materials it takes to learn the subject. And it is crazy to know that they title New York schools as the most well funded schools in America. So some may wonder, why did the money go?

Wow that really is a huge difference between schools in Georgia and New York. To be honest the Georgia high school sounds like a movie or like high school musical where everyone gets a locker and marching bands and all that good stuff. I too went to a school that had at least had five schools inside. My school from the outside looked like a castle and is gated and has metal detectors located at every location that can be considered a entrance. But my school we had a lot of clubs such as music club, drama club, anime club, art club and many other clubs people could think off. My school too was provided with books and certain supplies we needed. But I also struggled with coming up with a topic to talk about because I don't want it to be boring and broad m. I want people to really feel the topic and have emotions towards it. That why I went wit child abuse because even though it a very huge topic I can focus in certain areas

Project 1

For my project 1 out of all the topics in the world to conduct research on I decided to choose a topic that I really wanted to know more about. The topic I choose was child abuse. This topic could be a very tough and deep topic because sometimes just hearing about it can make people feel funny inside. I believe this topic can be very difficult because it can get very deep and what I mean by deep is that it can lead into many directions. For my project though I want to focus mainly why it leads to it? Also if it is a form of punishment for some adults for kids? Is there anger involved or enjoyment? The people who are the abusers did they have a trouble past? How does drugs and alcohol play a role? Could it be a mental illness that they have? Or can it jealousy? These are the questions that really brother me and why I want a o know about it and maybe it can lead to steps that can help prevent child abuse. The hardest part of my project might be getting the pictures and make sure my readers are understanding the meaning of it and can see my vision. I want them to really have emotions in my pictures and really feel the pain through the pictures. My goal is all about the audience because I want them to really understand what is going on. My topic is going be hard and tricky but I think I can pull it off and get it done the way I visioned it.

Trafficked

Would they cry Jesus have you forsaken thee, when fathers of familiar faces take their blood filled hands and play with their undeveloped breast. Breaking walls they have not yet come to understand with their vile erected penis.

In the city of Angels even the authorities know fathers traffic their daughters because work is hard to find the rent is too high. Daughters follow ring masters because they were told to do so, while mothers stand by and prepare fresh girls for their own brothels.

The light will come when she returns. If she ever returns to her to her innocence roaches will scatter and fathers will be no more. Will you do it all over again or will you look to your other child for assistance with the bills. Will you say son Jesus have forsaken us, not you, not I but us. So you must work to help the family.

When given blackened, heavy, waterless guns will they shoot their peers and parents without remorse? Will they become soldiers of God, Joseph Kony give me an answer, or will they turn the hands of time and point those waterless guns to your head and then their own.

Instead of water he fills gun chambers with bullets that poke holes in the bodies of his peers. He can never make sense of it all because all know is father needs help with the bills and I want to be like father so I will help with the bills, even if it means adding a bloody Footprint to my unknown name.

Oradexon is a pills used by farmers to fatten their cows. Oradexon is a pill used to fatten our daughters so that farmers and pharmacist can prove they can create one woman out of two little girls.

Heroism is what they pump into the minds of our sons as they send them marching to their deaths, the same step is repeated and carried out by a different puppet. Walk to the bad man with the gun cloaked in fear and press the red button it will make a loud boom and you will see God.

How can you, mother; an embodiment of hope and love strip the moral being of your own daughter, when all I ever asked was mother are you okay?

“What A Time to Be Alive”. This is the surprise mixtape that dropped this Sunday afternoon at 6pm This joint collaboration mixtape is from Drake and Future. It has come to a surprise because drake is anticipated to drop later this month his 5th studio album called “ Views From the 6″ paying homage to his city; Toronto. Future just came off this summer dropping his second studio album and his best work so far called Dirty Sprite 2 ( DS2). Both Drake and Future have both have an on and off the best friendships in the rap industry. They have many years of collaborating with each other and have build good chemistry to create good music for the people who always wants more from their favorite artist. These are two of the most talented artists in what they do and are very hard workers; day in and day out these artists work in so many songs and we as fans are blessed to witness their imagination for music. I love music so much because I feel so free when I listen to it. Drake brings so much style and diversity in his music that’s why I follow him so much because I feel like I can relate to him. He keeps it real as an artist and never has changed his authenticity from before he was famous. Many artists get in way over their heads with the fame and money and forget where their roots are from. Future also brings that Atlanta hip hop music and a different style of music. Future is the best trap music artist right now. You combine the sound, the energy, the camaraderie of the two and come together a create an artistry like “ What A Time To Be Alive” you most likely will get good music. The rest of the hip hop community better watch out because they are taking over the game. Usually artists prepare music for the summer but this summer both Drake and Future took over. I have followed Drake since his television role days. in the teen drama show “Degrassi; the Next Generation”. I have seen the improvement and hard work he has gone through to get to the level he is at right now. At the top of the mountain of hip hop. Not just these two rappers have contributed to an amazing year of hip hop, artists such like Big Sean, Kanye West, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Meek Mill and more. This has been the best year for hip hop in about 2 years. I can’t wait for what’s stored for the remainder of this year and next year.

I feel you on this one. I feel like the rap the game is back and is very dangerous. There are a lot of elite rappers right now. My favorites are Kendrick Lamar drake and future. Future has been on fire lately. His music is go and even though is trap music. You can't really do nothing but just bump to his music that how good it is. Like out of no where you start dancing and feeling the beat. Drake songs makes you feel right in the heart and make you think about all your past relationships. So yeah this year could be really good if these elite rappers just could continue to heat up.

Make America Great Again (not)

Last week in class we talked about multiple topics. One topic above all struck me more than the others: Donald Trump. Donald Trump is a powerful man. He has money, fame, and a big mouth. His mouth is so big, I don’t even know if it will ever shut.

Donald Trump is a business man that inherited his wealth from his father. I guess in the eyes of many he would be seen as a hardworking American that knows what he is doing. In contrary, I am not so convince that he do. He goes on to rant about how Mexicans are thieves, robbers, and rapist but under what grounds. Yes, they are “thieves” in the sense of “stealing others jobs” but are they really stealing anything from us (Americans)? No I don’t think so. Mexicans are using the opportunity to take advantage of jobs that most Americans think they are too good to do. They work harder and more diligently for the lower pay. I can not imagine them being robbers either. Yes there will always be some bad eggs in every race (whites, blacks, Asians, Mexicans, etc…) so we can not only classify one group of people as such. I think Mexicans would much rather be in the system if it wasn’t so hard to become an American. The citizen test is a hard test to pass even if you were born here. Heck, if I wasn’t from the U.S. I would not want to take the test.

To conclude, I think Donald Trump has no right to even be a candidate. He has no political background, he is not that great of a businessman (as he filed for bankruptcy four times), and he spreads a hate environment that only puts America backwards. If you think he do not carfully observe who goes to his rallies and what the sort of questions are being proposed; to who they might concern they are not thoughtful questions that make America great again.

I don't really watch politics and try to avoid them as much as possible. I feel that some president candidates lie to us and hype us up so will vote for them. Then when they great elected is everything they promised us no longer exist. I don't know what to really think about Donald trump to be honest. Is almost like a waiting game we had to listen to how good they going be in office. Is until they get behind the office then we see their true colors. So I think you just have to be calm and patient to see who really is the best candidate. Cause to be honest we can talk a good game and have people back us up. Is once we put all our trust into one person is where we get screwed up. So for now we have to be patient and really just wait it out and take our time and know people's true intentions. I want to get to really know the candidates before I can choose who I want to lead this country.

Aren’t we supposed to feel safe?

I would think that everyone has heard about or at least have gotten an email concerning what has been going on campus. Isn’t it scary? Well it’s terrifying to me especially. Being away from home is tough enough but now were on campus away from our families by our selves and we expect to feel safe in our “new home.” But are we really? How is it that we feel scared to walk back to our dorms and fear what could happen to us when were on campus. One of the incidents that occurred happen to be right in front of my building, that’s what scares me the most honestly. The place where I’m supposed to feel safe, my “home,” I don’t because people decided to be foolish.  Many people are arguing about who’s “fault” it basically is and what people fail to see is it’s the people who actually did it not the UPD or RA’s. How can it be their fault honestly? Yes they’re ways we can secure this school more and try and make it a safer campus but it’s not their fault that these incidents occurred.  Another problem that people are addressing is that they are blaming “city kids.” Now how can you blame this on a group up people implying that because they’re from the city it’s there fault because they are the ones doing these crimes. Why are people targeting one type of group of people? We are arguing and blaming the wrong people and many of us don’t realize that. I would hope that our campus would be a safer place but we also fail to realize that this is the real world now, we are adults, and crimes are going to occur. It’s sad that they have to happen right here on campus but this isn’t high school where were watched all day by adults. There is more freedom here and that’s why people are doing these things because no one is watching them all day, its something that is difficult to stop from happening. But what we can do is put more cameras and security up because if these incidents do occur at least we can catch them. If people are being caught then less people will stop committing this crimes or actions because they know they’re going to get caught, its common sense really.

I agree with what you are saying is pretty scary that we have to worry about living in college because of what has been going on campus. I feel we live on college campus to be safe but then at the same time it does not stop the dangers that is out there in the world. We don’t know what some people are made of. You can live with someone that crazy and does crazy stuff. You could never know any one true intentions until it happens. I also agree with you when people say it is these city kids and i just feel like they are labeling us. Like we are bad kids and we just do this to people. I hope that UPD steps up the security to avoid more incidents because stuff happened for three consecutive students and parents will start getting rowdy. But the incidents has not stop me from still doing things. i am probably more careful but you can’t let that stop you from doing anything. The world moves on and stuff happens sometimes we just got move on and make it better.

Football

Thursday night football began with Denver Broncos and Kansas City chiefs. To let everyone know my team is Denver Broncos because of one main guy and that is Peyton manning. He turned 39 years old a few months ago and the media already started to bash him and tell him that he is to old. This a man who at the age of 37 he broke many records for passing yard and touchdown passes. Now literally a year and a half later they say he don't got the juice no more. But this game gave the media something to write about. At first it was going bad for the Denver Broncos offensive wise but the defense was playing great. Denver started losing and it was struggling and manning even threw an interception. After that the coach told manning to do what he does best and that read the defense and throw touch downs. All of a sudden it became a whole new game ... Manning started throwing everything close to perfect and was running the offense the way he wanted. I literally was jumping up and down out of my seat. The excitement was at very high level could not believe that they try to say he doesn't have the juice. How crazy to count him out. And he came back in the fourth quarter to win the game. What a quarterback and what a player. The game ended the score was 31 to 24 and it was beautiful. He just showing people how great of a quarter back he is. He was also emotional because he knows so many people are already counting him out and he became second all time in the pass yards list. So it was an emotional night for him. I was just happy being a true fan to be able to still witness greatness. I hope he wins the Super Bowl and is able to prove everyone wrong.
