Entering the Real World
I’m at a point in my life where I have experienced my childhood and getting towards that stage of a very young man and I need to live up to the expectations i'm about to face once I graduate college. I feel like the older I become faster time flies away and is catching up with me. I remember the days when I a child I used to go to school, come home, watch television, hang out with friends, do something recreational and I would still have plenty of my day left. Now I could barely do all those things in one day for example when I was in middle school and entering high school I wasn’t thinking about college and my future I was just living in the moment as every kid enjoys and lives their childhood. Now me being in my sophomore year I’m starting to realize I’m about 2 years away from graduating and stepping into the real world, where you work, pay bills, start a family, and etc. I want to enjoy every opportunity and moment of my college experience that I have left because these years fly by. As people refer college as the last free years of your life for a long time; because that’s the last time you’ll have complete freedom and live life without as many worries. This year I got my first job ever because I thought that I needed some experience in a work field so that I could have responsibility and also to become better at time management. I also needed to get used to working a certain amount of hours so I can experience how it feels, and at the same time why not work and meet new people than not doing anything productive and staying in dorm sleeping or doing something not important. I may never know who I might meet and I’m trying to use this time in college to become more involved and make connections and networking with people so that when I step into real life I could better prepare myself. I’m also taking this opportunity to stretch my knowledge on how to become more successful in life and I know that studies says that most college graduate don’t get a job within 1 year of their graduation and that It takes long for them to find one. I’m not trying to be one of those statistics I’m trying to be different by knowing my resources and networks. So this is a pivotal moment in my life and I’m trying to make the best decisions for me and the most beneficial.
NBA BASKETBALL
The 2015 NBA season has just got underway this past week and I’m very excited of what I’m expecting this season. There’s many expectations for this season. Will The defending champions the Golden State Warriors go for back to back championships? Will the Spurs or Clippers take over the western conference? Can LeBron James bring Cleveland its first championship after losing in the finals last season? But what I’m really looking forward to is what the New York Knicks can do this year? I say that because one they are my favorite team and also it’s good for the association that one of the most famous and expensive teams has success. The Knicks play in the mecca of basketball where die hard fans would go crazy for their team whether their favorite team is good or bad. New Yorkers often criticize the Knicks on their playing performance specially over the last 2 years. They went from a 54 win team in 2012-2013 season to one of the worst teams in basketball over the next 2 years. Last year they had franchise worst record 17-65. Did not make the playoffs 2 years consecutive. The team president and hall of famer Phil Jackson has made a lot of roster changes since he has gotten the position to try to reshape this team to a championship contender in the near future. The Knicks resigned free agent to be superstar Carmelo Anthony to a 5 year $125 million dollar contract to pair him with lottery picks and good role players. Many questioned is Carmelo a team killer and if he should have not returned to the Knicks but he is back and is committed to this team and I’m looking forward to what my favorite basketball player is gonna provide for the Knicks. This past summer the Knicks lottery pick at the 4th pick in the draft and selected European star Kristaps Porzingis many fans were angry with the pick and though they would have selected someone better this kid shows promise and potential to be a superstar in the making. I’m excited for the pairing of him and Carmelo Anthony and look forward for a better promising season than last year for the Knicks and possibly a playoff berth. Being a fan of a New York team is very stressful because we take our sports seriously and we don’t like getting disappointed but the positives is that there is hope.
This Tuesday the Major League World Series starts featuring the New York Mets and Kansas City Royals. The Royals are going to the World Series for back to back years, they came up short last year to a defeat of the San Francisco Giants in a best of seven series. Last year was their first postseason experience since 1985 for them and brought life to that city and their fans. They are a small market team which is surprising to accomplish such feats to make it to the World Series. They using the terms moneyball which is not spending money on big free agents but instead getting players who are somewhat valuable and try to puzzle them together in a team based on sabermetrics. Somewhat the same case with The New York Mets who aren’t big on spending money on big free agents but have had some legal issues but are a mid market team due to the fact they are from New York. They haven’t won a championship since 1986 and made their last appearance in 2000. They have a team not expected to be in this position this year but they have a ton of talent and added some key players by the trade deadline to help build up their team. They had tremendous young pitching staff that could potentially become a dynasty. This feature two teams that have had championship droughts and their city needs a championship after their long drought. Also will bring powerful and dominant pitching with a fast, solid hitting team. I look forward to the matchup Mets stars Matt harvey, Jacob deGrom, and Noah Syndergaard vs. Mike Moustakas, Eric Hosmer, and Lorenzo Cain. They provide star power talents and bring attention to baseball. This year I predict better television rating because there's more excitement coming up than last year. I’m definitely a Mets fan that's why I decided to write about them because I’ll never know when this opportunity will occur again. I will cherish this moment. I also want the Mets to win because of Mets captain coming back from injury and rehab to play for the team and contribute to a potential world title. The next have option to worry about freeagent to be Daniel Murphy and Yoenis Cespedes who are team stars. They don’t know if they are gonna resign with the team and to see if we can afford keeping them around for numerous years. I’ll be looking forward to see what will happen.
My reflection is that I’m looking forward what my colleagues and classmates are researching about What I can learn from it. It’s good that I’m seeing many diversity in topics like this we can all learn from each other and become more knowledgeable. I learned that animal abuse should be a bigger topic and more trending for more social awareness. The topic about people bragging constantly caught my attention because I sometimes be bragging about what I have but we all have those moments when we need to feel bigger than someone else. Me being guilty of this I would like to know some counterarguments about this topic.
Animal Abuse
The topic I will be making my project about is Animal Abuse. The reason I have chosen to use this topic is because I feel that we do not discuss animal abuse as much as we should. The definition of animal abuse is the human infliction of suffering of harm upon any non-human animal, for purpose other than self-defense or survival. Animal abuse happens all over the world. In many places they abuse animals for people enjoyment. Which to me is not right. I feel that with me doing this topic I can hopefully find or at least understand why people harm animals. Many people do not understand how many ways animals are being abused. Animal abuse consist of being beating, shooting or stabbing animals, or setting them on fire. Also neglect is not giving an animal necessary food, water, shelter, or vet care. Many people including myself have no idea to what animal abuse really is. It has taken me looking up thing on the internet to truly have an understanding to animal abuse. This topic I understand can be very hard to understand. I am really looking forward to finding my focus in this topic. You can come from many directions in this topic. I personally want to come from the view of animal abuse in the United States and how it affects us. One things that I found out is that animal abuse are usually committed by males under the age of 30. Also the animals that get mostly abuse are dogs, cats, horses, and livestock. These are just some of the things that I found. As you can see animal abuse is something major in our society especially. Where I grew up would see a lot of people abuse there animal some were my friends. When I was young I did not pay attention what I saw. But as I have grown I have come more visual to the things around me. This has to stop. We can no longer let the world go on like this. Animal Abuse should not be tolerated anywhere around the world. If we see something, say something. One person can cause a change reaction. That is all we need to make a difference in this world. I’m willing to fight for what I believe in. Many back down to the challenge. I’m stepping into it head first and hoping for the best. LET’S STOP ANIMAL ABUSE!!!!
;Rw
It is funny that you right about this because just a “few blogs ago” I wrote about life. But I wrote it inspired by my little dwarf frogs. I was writing about how precious life could be no matter how big or how small. Many people forget that even though we are considered the dominate animals that roam the Earth, that doesn’t mean we get the right to hurt other animals. You make a very valid point. Could you imagine if other animals were smarter than us and so far advance that they kept us in captivity and used us as pets? People don’t see that lives are lives no matter what. Nothing with a life should be abused or neglected. This is an important message that should make everyone think about what they could do to improve this matter.
I like this issue you’re addressing about animal abuse it brings something new to discuss. Even though I don’t own any pets and can’t relate to any issues regarding animal abuse I would like to know more about how they are being affected and how this issue can be resolved. I’ve seen videos on social media of animals about animals getting killed, and abused. Animal abuse is very big in other countries like China where they kill domestic animals and eat them without any remorse. I also agree with this post a lot and am looking forward to the solution.
Project 1
For my project I decided to talk about on why people brag about themselves so excessively, as well make other people feel bad about themselves. In today’s society especially the younger generation tend to focus on materialistic things such as what kind of sneaker a person have whether it is Jordan’s, or Belengica’s, what kind of clothes a person wears if it high end brand or whether if a person is team iphone or team androids. Growing up I have witnessed people humiliate those who had less or appeared to have less than they do. Some children don’t have the luxury or the privileges that other children have, and it’s upsetting to see how people put each other down over materialistic possessions. I want to mainly focus on those that actually make fun of people who have less and why do they enjoy making people feel bad about themselves on stuff that they can’t afford because they don’t have the latest clothes or technology. Why do people feel the need to brag about themselves and plus have an arrogant attitude. Some component I believe that contributes with this behavior comes from being neglected, wanting to be accept, how they were raised, cultural aspects, gender, and also race. Also I want to focus on why society make it okay for a men to self promo but not for women. Why is there a constant double standard between men and women. People should be able to share their achievements and their goals in life. In my project I don’t want to make it seem that bragging is wrong because everybody has brag about themselves but I want to explain how it can be use in the sense of affecting others negatively, and why sometimes people feel that they don’t even have the right to brag about themselves. Obviously people go through different situation and sometimes people are not going to get the same opportunities and it is not fair for a person to put done the next men because he or she is not on the same level as you. There is nothing wrong to proud on what you have and what you have achieve but don’t put down someone else and make them feel like shit. I myself have experience where people talk down to me and judge because I didn’t have what they have and I think it is something a lot of people experience and I want to talk about it.
I can relate to this topic coming from New York City. Back in high school there was always that someone that would brag about the things they have. Clothing is like a religion coming from the city. People do become arrogant and tends to grow toward other people which leads them to follow. I also agreed when you said that people should share their achievements and goals in life rather than bragging about senseless things. People shouldn’t be bragging about the outside within themselves but the inside for what can grow and influence other people. This topic is very interesting and I would like to know more deeper about your topic.
In this generation the way technology and things and coming to evolving and moving fast people are materialistic and care about their possessions more than anything else. This is part of the reason people are constantly bragging about themselves. Fashion also creates an argument because this creates an issue on why people brag about clothes. I feel like this generation's focus is in social media. Social media trend to be a big part on why people behave this way bragging about their possessions because we as humans and we like to feel better than other people for our benefits. It’s so hard to become humble from a young age and growing up to a time period where technology and social media are taking over. People try so hard to fit in that they forget who they really was. This topic will bring up many good possible discussion about why people are bragging and putting other people down.
is college worth it?
Is college worth it?
For my project, the topic I chose to focus on was whether or not getting a college education is worth it? I’m very interested in this topic because in today’s society in order for you to get a good job you have to go to college and obtain a degree. Since college is so expensive, students that want to attend college have to put them self in debt in order for them to go to school. Some students who graduate from college can’t even obtain a job in their field of study, so imagine if you were one of those persons that took out thousands of dollars in loans so that you could attend college only having to not be able to get a job in your field. What’s the sense of going to college if you are going to have to put yourself in debt and it’s not guaranteed that you’re going to get a job after graduating from college?
On my web map I plan on focusing on whether or not if college worth it? I plan on looking at the statistics of the amount of people that do attend college and have to take out loans to attend. I plan and also looking at the retention rate, to see if loans affect whether or not students drop out of school. I am also going to link the statistics of college graduate students that obtain a job in their field of study after graduating from school. I also want to link the amount of students that ended up in debt because they decided to take out a loan to attend college. I want to focus on these issues because I feel that these issues happen very often today in society. Many students are putting themselves in debt by taking out loans to attend college and sometimes end up being in a far worse situation than what they started in. If someone have to put themselves through all of this just to attend college then is it really worth it?
I think the problems that I might face while doing this project is making sure that my topic is not a broad topic. I want to make sure that my topic has a specific focal point. Earlier when working on my proposal the biggest issue I had face was making sure that my topic wasn’t too broad. I was having problems because some of the issues I had were too broad.

after reviewing some of my peers topics today, I see that most people chose a topic that they were very interested in and can also connect to. this is good because its going to help keep you interested in doing that specific project, even when you might get frustrated. Hopefully after completing the project, there is something that everyone can take away from their specific topic since they can connect to it. after reviewing others post I think that I should show how much I really am interested in my topic. I should show the personal connection between me and my topic.
Is college worth it? College has its upside and also has its downside. I agree with the statement that people in order to go to college put themselves in a situation to be in debt even before you start your first day of college. Also I like that point you made about in order to have a good job you most likely need to attend college. I like the title is college worth it? Because After everything you go through in college, paying tuition and stuff and then you graduate and look for a job in your field and you don’t get it you're going to feel disappointed and you’re gonna feel like college was time wasted. I’m looking forward to the conclusion of this interesting topic.
BLog #5
For my first project, I have decided to discuss and find information of why there is a recession of African- American baseball players in the major leagues. As the years pass less and less of black baseball players appear to play in a professional team. They are many issues on why this is happening, but I’m also curious and interested to find out what’s being done to get this issue fixed. Baseball needs diversity in players and that includes having African- Americans in the game. I would like to hear any feedback my audience has about this issue on why it’s happening, and ways that could help this problem diminish. I plan to do some research on the statistics on African- Americans playing for Major League Baseball since the 1970’s. This way I can see it’s peak, it’s increase, and also its decrease. There was many legendary black players in the past and at this pace we won’t see many more in the near future. Players like Willie Mays, Jackie Robinson, Bob Gibson, Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, and many more had all in some way, shape or form changed baseball forever and changed the dynamics of the game in a positive way. I wonder how this issue impacts communities and families of African- Americans and their view on baseball. I ask many people what they think about baseball and they mostly answer it’s boring, or I’m not interested, because they don’t have a role model that can lead by example and open doors for blacks in baseball again. Every kid always has its idols and person they look up to. For example in basketball the face of the sport now is LeBron James, almost everyone wants to be like LeBron or follow his footsteps. He leads by good example. That could be a reason why basketball is becoming a mostly black dominated sport. Back to baseball, there are sports figures like All Star Mike Trout, Bryce Harper, but this isn’t going to help the cause on the lack of black baseball players in the game. Me growing up in a spanish and black community playing baseball as a kid I mostly played against spanish kids and noticed there wasn’t many black kids to play against. Matter of fact I have played against more white kids when I used to travel than black kids. So could there be a lack of motivation in trying baseball at young age? Why not give the sport a try before deciding to not like it or participate in it? I will try to find the best information I can to answer questions me or others may have regarding this issue.
MLBPostseason
The 2015 MLB Playoffs are set to start Tuesday. The 10 teams entering the playoffs are the New York Mets, New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago Cubs, Houston Astros, Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals, and Toronto Blue Jays. This year features many teams who have not had many postseason experience in the past. Teams like the Mets, Cubs, Astros, and Blue Jays have not had much postseason success in recent years. This makes this year so interesting and very likely to deliver good playoff baseball. Baseball has been losing ratings because many fans in today’s society don’t have the same appreciation for baseball that past generations had. The average viewers of baseball are usually in their 50′s. I can say this year’s playoffs are looking more promising because their are new teams in the mix in which makes new fans be more in tune and gives everyone more opportunities to compete. People were so used to having the Yankees at the top of the mountain and always winning. Now, New York may look into the future and have a new team run baseball in the city. The New York Mets have tremendous young talent and also have acquired some big bats to help their teams look. The Mets have turned from pretenders to contenders. The resurgence from the infamous Alex Rodriguez has helped the Yankees make it to the postseason after not making it in the past 3 years. The Cardinals breezed through baseball this year winning 100 games which is not an easy feat, what makes it even more impressive is the fact that they were without one of their best pitchers Adam Wainwright. Wainwright missed most of the season with an achilles tendon rupture and returned recently, he is a big addition for them in this postseason. Clayton Kershaw last years Cy Young Winner and MVP and Zack Greinke potential Cy Young winner this year are both part of the Los Angeles Dodgers that are set to face the Mets this upcoming Friday. Both this pitchers are are two of the best pitchers today. Will be tough to beat facing them back to back. The Dodgers have the highest payroll in Major League Baseball but it doesn't hurt them because there is no salary cap in baseball the team spends whatever money they have. I will be looking forward this year’s postseason specially since my favorite team the Mets are playing.
Aren’t we supposed to feel safe?
I would think that everyone has heard about or at least have gotten an email concerning what has been going on campus. Isn’t it scary? Well it’s terrifying to me especially. Being away from home is tough enough but now were on campus away from our families by our selves and we expect to feel safe in our “new home.” But are we really? How is it that we feel scared to walk back to our dorms and fear what could happen to us when were on campus. One of the incidents that occurred happen to be right in front of my building, that’s what scares me the most honestly. The place where I’m supposed to feel safe, my “home,” I don’t because people decided to be foolish. Many people are arguing about who’s “fault” it basically is and what people fail to see is it’s the people who actually did it not the UPD or RA’s. How can it be their fault honestly? Yes they’re ways we can secure this school more and try and make it a safer campus but it’s not their fault that these incidents occurred. Another problem that people are addressing is that they are blaming “city kids.” Now how can you blame this on a group up people implying that because they’re from the city it’s there fault because they are the ones doing these crimes. Why are people targeting one type of group of people? We are arguing and blaming the wrong people and many of us don’t realize that. I would hope that our campus would be a safer place but we also fail to realize that this is the real world now, we are adults, and crimes are going to occur. It’s sad that they have to happen right here on campus but this isn’t high school where were watched all day by adults. There is more freedom here and that’s why people are doing these things because no one is watching them all day, its something that is difficult to stop from happening. But what we can do is put more cameras and security up because if these incidents do occur at least we can catch them. If people are being caught then less people will stop committing this crimes or actions because they know they’re going to get caught, its common sense really.
I agree with what you are saying is pretty scary that we have to worry about living in college because of what has been going on campus. I feel we live on college campus to be safe but then at the same time it does not stop the dangers that is out there in the world. We don’t know what some people are made of. You can live with someone that crazy and does crazy stuff. You could never know any one true intentions until it happens. I also agree with you when people say it is these city kids and i just feel like they are labeling us. Like we are bad kids and we just do this to people. I hope that UPD steps up the security to avoid more incidents because stuff happened for three consecutive students and parents will start getting rowdy. But the incidents has not stop me from still doing things. i am probably more careful but you can’t let that stop you from doing anything. The world moves on and stuff happens sometimes we just got move on and make it better.
I agree with the situation that has occurred in campus and that we are supposed to feel safe and all. We are away from home and our parents expect us to be safe, but people gotta understand that UPD can only care for so little students at a time. The ratio from UPD officers to Buffalo State Students. The incidents that occurred the school is to put to blame because I feel like there BSC should be a closed campus for the safety of everyone, because everyone can just walk in and do some harm. The actions taken was removing the guest privileges for students in every dorm hall. I don’t think that was a solution because no one knows what the other person intentions. I’m not in control of what other peoples intentions are. They should just have UPD officers in the main lobby for a couple hours after like 10 pm.
So I hear that this is the end of our third week here at school. Which means we have… thirteen weeks left. I suppose the fact that I am already counting down the time to the end of school is not a great thing. I think it is safe to say that quite a few students cannot wait until the end of the semester. Most likely because they do not like school. Of course not everyone feels this way about school. I use to be one of these students. College has changed that sadly. Maybe I should have taken my parents offer to taking a semester off. But that is beside the point. The study about the magazines in waiting rooms got me thinking, I wonder if there has ever been a study of the “college experience” causing students to suffer academically. If, as much as people say going away to college is a good thing, that it could actually be a bad thing for others. A friend and I were talking about how it seems that colleges now a days accept anyone who has a pulse. With so many people, even at small schools, there are way too many students to the amount of space and resources. For those of us who are not use to being around so many people it can be quite overwhelming. I have heard it be said that this is just one of those things that college students have to get over it. But I wonder how many students never get use to it. Some other ”college experiences” include smoking, which is hunky dory for those who are into it, but it gives me a really bad headache which sucks cause the smell is literally everywhere which means I almost always have a headache. My mom is actually allergic which is funny because who know that someone could be allergic to pot. I suppose it makes sense because it is a plant and a lot of people are allergic to plants. Which again is not the point. The point is that there a lot of factors involved with going away to school that, if students are not what the college expects, the college has no idea what to do with them. This is what bothers me. That maybe not everyone is what they are expected to be and that the powers to be would rather sweep us under the rug then figuring out how to work with different types of people.
I totally agree with your post, because I have been looking forward for the semester to end although it just begun. I believe that college is necessary but going away isn’t. Going away to college is a privilege and I don’t think it is for everyone. Like you said you don’t like the smell of marijuana and on our campus there are a lot of people who use marijuana. Another drawback is if you’re used to small schools Buffalo State College might not the school for you because it is a medium sized school. I’d prefer a smaller sized school because the students to professor ratio would be much less. There would be less of a crowd, and more space and resources. I think that choosing to go away to college is a big step for someone who isn’t mentally prepared. But while away at college you can try to make the best of it.
I understand where both of you people are coming from and are trying to explain. I somewhat agree but I also disagree. I say that because I understand that it may be overwhelming for some people who aren't used to be surrounded by so many people and the fact that Buffalo State College allows many students and many New York City kids makes it harder for people who grew outside of that environment. We city kids aren't the easiest to tolerate and I understand that too. But going away for college has been one of the best decisions I ever made for the fact that I can actually interact with different kinds of people and experience a new environment. I rather this than commuting at home. I know the issue with weed and that not everyone does drugs but there are ways to avoid it, is hard but there are ways to avoid it. I agree that Buffalo State College accepts too many students and just about everybody that applies and it sucks and its not fair for people who deserve to get in and don’t. My overall point of view is that I don’t want the semester to end and it’s flying by I like being away from home for a while.
U understanding ME
I am a sophomore in college, my major is criminal justice. As far as communicating I sometimes struggle speaking out because I don’t want to say the wrong answer so I keep quiet. Plus I always second guess myself because I don’t feel that what I might write down will be good enough. This blog is a way for me to express my opinion on certain things that are going on in my life as well as in my society. I’m using this as a place to show people some of the things that I feel are important to not just me but to everybody.
Some things that I like to do for fun is play basketball. It relieves so much stress, and helps me to get things off my mind that are bothering me. Another thing that I love doing is hanging out with my friends because I feel that when I am around my friends things seems to work out for the best and we have a good time joking around and just being around each other. What I would like to get out of this class is the understanding of how to actually prepare myself for the long road ahead. Some goals for writing are being able to communicate with others. Form ideas which you can discuss and argue about. And you can interact with the people that you are teaching which will make them feel more welcome and help them to open up more to you.
The way I plan on reaching my goals is pushing myself to be the best. I want to build myself up in a way where I do not struggle in writing or in my everyday life. I want the ability to create things that people would not even think of. I really hope that with using this blog I can build something in which people from all over can view it and hopefully respond to what I have posted. This will be my way of communicating with people and finding out some of their ideas as well as lending a helping hand to the people who may not have the ability to speak for themselves.
Throughout this blog I hope to learn something about everybody. Because the only way to really know someone is to first get to understand who they are as a person. This should be a great opportunity to meet people with the same interest as me.
^^
I like this post because I can sense you expressing yourself and being yourself. I also often second guess myself and hold back on things to say because I don’t want to sound stupid. I also like to play basketball for recreation since I play baseball. Basketball allows me to interact with other people and relive some stress. I can relate to socializing and spending time with friends because friends are important in life and can help you out in so many ways. I believe this class can help you in the long term and be so beneficial with writing skills in a future job or anything you can apply the writing knowledge into. I agree with the enthusiasm on doing the best you can and pushing yourself to the limits to pursue success in this class.
Blog #2
Hip Hop has always been one of the most favorite genre of music in New York City. Growing up in the city everyone listened to Hip Hop. What makes Hip Hop so unique are the form of lyrics, it brings mindful thoughts and meanings. It voices pastime and culture in so many communities which makes it so influential. This shows how complex of a genre Hip Hop is. Hip Hop in the 1980s was a huge step for the genre, it was considered as the “Golden age” during that time period. Run DMC and LL Cool J where one of the most popular musicians during that time. Their rhymes were so superior that it became successful critically. Instrumentals from jazz and funk were being sampled frequently bringing a smooth motion of songs. NWA is a notorious group who were mostly criticized for harsh and inappropriate lyrics, they made a protest song against police brutality during the LA riots. New York rappers in the 90s were beginning to grow, big names such as Nas, Jay-Z and Notorious B.I.G were the most popular during that time. Hip Hop changed during that time because being lyrical was the most attractive thing during that point. Tupac is considered the most influential rapper ever, behind his raps where everyday struggles from teen pregnancy to homelessness. Some of the deaths of the most influential rappers such as Eazy E, Notorious B.I.G, Tupac and Big L where one of the most saddest thing to ever happen in Hip Hop culture. They helped the movement across the world with their messages. Hip Hop is also a big business, P.Diddy and Jay-Z both own record companies and their net worths are increasingly high. In today’s generation many rapper’s influences are Kanye West, Jay-Z and Lil Wayne. Rappers such as Drake, J.cole, Future, Kendrick Lamar are the favorites of our generation. Today rappers speak from the mind and the soul and people notice that and it creates a vibe. Drake is the most honest rapper today, he express his emotions in current situations people face everyday. In my opinion Hip Hop is the best genre of music, there’s always a story behind their songs and it expands so many thoughts for so many people. Especially coming from New York City where Hip Hop is constantly played all the time and it would be so hard say its not the best genre of music, it fills in a vibe for so many people today.
I agree a lot with this blog post because hip hop has influenced my life a lot and I've developed some passion for this type of music. Everywhere I turn to someone is always blasting hip hop songs in the summer in they loud speaker of their cars. Hip hop has been reintroduced and changed over time. Hip hop started sometime in the late 70′s and really started getting popular in the 80′s and 90′s. Hip hop started with simple beat boxing and later developed over this new and trending beats we have today. Hip hop legends like The Notorious Big and Tupac are two of the table setters for rappers nowadays. Both taking over the East and West Coast in their perspective side, both died on separate times and influenced major artists like Eminem, 50 Cent, Jay Z, Kanye West, etc. They payed homage to two icons like Biggie and Tupac. They gave us good music in which inspires me and others worldwide. I like this post because you give valid information and have sense into what you are discussing.
