update on this : i’m basically fully recovered! honestly got scared because of online people making it sound way worse than it was— dont get me wrong it was ass but really manageable thanks to my medicine :)

my oc Malachi! he’s a Soul Sand Netherborne! these variant of Netherborne have small feet, and thin, bird-like legs! their race has evolved to have high metabolisms. this is so they maintain a low body weight in order to effortlessly dash across the top of Soul Sand without sinking. they can easily escape their common foes in the Nether, and their facial markings mimic that of a skeleton in order to blend in.

OSSOV THE HARBINGER — Witherbeast General of The Blight Dimension

more art!!! i hope you guys enjoy my horribly ugly wretched guy! he’s part of mine (and my dogfriend @r0ttingd0gteeth ‘s) Minecraft world/dimensions AU called MC: Lost Dimensions… this scary fella hails from a dimension known as The Blight! more noise about that under the cut ;)

The Blight (AKA, The Chasm of Hatred, It Is Only Dust, The Witherhome)

The Blight is much like the Nether, a place that can only be reached by a portal someplace in that land of fire. It is a place of soul sand, of ashen ground and swirling soot and crying souls. Lost lives inhabiting monsters in a place of utter darkness, illuminated by raining cinder. The land is dusty, and much less cliffs and lava lakes than The Nether. It has dune-like hills, caves, tall pillars, spikes like stalactites and stalagmites. A breeze blows through, kicking up dust and carrying a whispering pained howl on the wind. Bubbling vats of molten soot pop and breathe, and the light glow of cinder illuminate the ground for a moment before it dissipates, and the next one lands in its place.

The Blight is like the Nether’s empty belly, yet residing it an entirely seperate dimension. It is said to be uninhabitable by any life, and any who tried to reach it died, only to rot away and become wither skeletons. The “withering” seeps from this place, which is what makes it nearly an impossible place for any truly living thing to reside. The Wither is only a small piece of The Blight, as if a grain of sand fell off of its immense darkness, pieces of lives lost to The Blight’s endless rot. Many believe that there is something much stronger than The Wither inside of this dark place. An eldritch monstrosity, in both size and power with an ability to wreak absolute destruction upon any land it touches.
