Reasons why I loveĀ āKill Me Heal Meā
Kill Me Heal Me is the latest Korean drama that I watched. It is a story about a guy who has DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder, commonly known as multiple personalities) and his love story with his psychiatrist.Ā
Iāve been watching several Korean dramas before and recently my faves were medical dramas such asĀ āGood Doctorā andĀ āDoctor Stranger.ā I watch dramas when I have some free time haha. So here I will be listing reasons why I think I loved this drama so much that I am having a withdrawal syndrome until now.Ā
1. It is about multiple personalities.Ā
I already watched Rhodora X (a Filipino drama) in which the main character also has DID. Rhodora has 2 alters namely Roxanne and Rowena. Iāve been waiting for Rhodora to have more alters on this drama but it ends up that she only has 2 haha.Ā
So after knowing that KMHM has 7 personalities in one person, thatās it. I knew that I SHOULD watch it.
2. It is a Korean drama, + somehow medical
I love anything Korean, even KPOP. so Kdrama is a given. I watch kdramas :D Even though my recently watched were medical dramas, I can somehow conclude that this one is a slightly related to medical dramas since the female lead is a psychiatrist. Therefore, my interest in this drama keeps on going higher.Ā
3. Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum reunion
Oh come on. they paired up already onĀ āSecret Loveā and you know korean drama pairings has 0.01 per cent of being paired again in another drama.Ā
Haha. Well Lee Bo Young and Ji Sung are my faves (glad that they end up getting married and now waiting for their baby :D). Their roles in the dramas that they chose were always daebak!Ā
5. Seven personalities in one.
I love all of Cha Do Hyunās (Ji Sung) personalities in this drama. So letās recap why I love each of them haha.Ā
Cha Do Hyun. The host. He has everything from cars, house, money. But he needs love and understanding. I can relate myself to him because he didnāt want his family to know about his disorder. I have things that I cannot also tell my family because I am afraid of what will come after that. (SPOILER: his name is not really Cha Do Hyun, go watch the drama to find out)
Shin Se Gi. The protector. The savior. Haha. I love this guyās fashion sense, even that hair. Yes. Like him, I consider my hair as my last pride. His goodbye scene made me cry. Why? Finally he is on CDHās side now, and even though he didnāt get to be with Oh Ri Jin (Hwang Jung Eum), at least he got that kiss from her. (SPOILER: his name comes from a box of matchsticks labeledĀ āNew Centuryā, try to google translate shin se gi)
Perry Park. The bomb maker. I donāt get it why he do bombs but his accent is the thing that I like about this 40 year old guy. Maybe I should also try to drink his favorite alcohol haha. He is also the most sincere one ever. The first alter to say goodbye because as the oldest, he wants to be the role model. and his only wish for ORJ is to be healty :( (SPOILER: his name comes from the name of the boat that CDH promised to give to his father)
Ahn Yo Sub. The suicidal guy. ...... Nothing else to say. Like him, I need someone to talk to. Someone who will listen to me. and also like him, I am smart hahaha though I donāt read books that much. The first one to think that he may not have a proper goodbye to ORJ, and he left without saying anything :( (SPOILER: his name comes from a missionary school, more likely his baptized name)Ā
Ahn Yo Na. The 17 y/o girl. SHE fangirls so much haha, and she likes her oppa. ohh. She is Yo Subās twin and that lipstick that she uses became sold out in Korea after her appearance lol. Whenever this alter comes out, I feel like I am watching another drama haha. (SPOILER: her name comes from the opposite of Yo Sub, uhmm more likely she is the happy one)Ā
Na Na. The little girl with teddy bear. I can see my childhood innocence in her. (SPOILER: Na Na is the bearās name. Her real name is.... just watch the drama to find out :D)Ā
Mr. X. The father of Na Na. He is not a magician haha. His description in the beginning is mysterious. Yeah. The heck, he appeared on the last episode lol. I like his deep voice, I should imitate it so I will look more handsome. (SPOILER: his name comes from X obviously)Ā
Ji Sungās acting is commendable. He should win a daesang award for this drama. Even though there are no scenes like the on in Rhodora X where the main character switches personality in one scene (video below) Ji Sung still show a good way of switching from time to time.Ā
I am hoping that since this drama is from a major network in Korea, it should be shown here in the Philippines. I donāt care whether it is dubbed by abscbn or gma. If it is in gma, their watches probably had a gist of what DID is and it will spark attention. It if is in abscbn, generally ph people watch shows on this channle so it will attract more fans for our leads.Ā
That concludes this blog post. I really love this drama and I hope a Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum will reunite again, maybe in a movie? they are a real onscreen couple right and it is proven already by their two dramas together.
