Usually, the Guardian of the Miraculous would give the miraculous to those they felt was worthy. There was always times where things went south after awhile. Nooroo didn’t like that it happened, but it did. His and his master’s relationship was much more... Unique than other meetings. His last holder, a young man he considered a friend, a terrible thing befell him and the moth miraculous was lost.
Lost until Mr. Agreste found the brooch. From there, the story was rather obvious.
“One day, things will change. I am willing to wait.” That response was said with a smile. “Nothing will stay the same forever, whether it be good or bad.”
He pretty much froze when she asked about his master, with the way she spoke about Adrien, she’d surely think highly of Mr. Agreste. Besides, Nooroo didn’t want him to be arrested for his crimes. He couldn’t allow that.
“My master, he lives here. He prefers that I don’t stray very far fro-” The kwami went silent, a wave of negative emotions washing over him. There was no doubt that his master felt it was well. This was certainly stronger than most. “Ah... I’m sorry, miss Marinette, Mr. Agreste might be busy.”
Jours de Papillon - Day 2 >> Ladybug doing all the work for us? What a fine irony.
Some sweet babes!
Nooroo jumped a bit, but nodded a bit numbly as Tikki sent his worries away. It certainly helped with how sure the other kwami sounded. “I... Thank you.” He carefully glanced away before looking back at her. “Do you think it’ll go away soon?”
@captive-moth | cont.
“Your new holder isn’t like that: they wont send you back just for talking to us,” Tikki reassured. “I’m sure they’ll understand.”
Nooroo nodded softly, but he was still clearly fearful. After Hawkmoth, he was afraid. “That feeling, that negative aura, it feels like it is everywhere. It hasn’t gone away like Master Fu said it would. Is it because of me?”
The small lilac kwami only carefully nodded to her questions. While most Miraculous Holders treated their kwamis as friends, there were always a few that the power dynamic was different. Such as his relationship with his master. Nooroo was only a means to an end.
"My master and I, it would be a lie to call us friends. I have tried, more than I care to count... He simply doesn’t appreciate it. I am merely a means to an end to him, not a friend or companion. Though, I am scared about the path he’s on...” Nooroo instantly went quiet when he realized he was saying too much and was rambling.
When they came near places where cameras were keeping watch, Nooroo hid next to Marinette. His voice quietly directing her before he flew out again when they were in the clear. While other people wouldn’t know what to make out of a purple speck on the video, Mr. Agreste would.
“Thank you, Marinette. His schedule may be open on paper, but there might be a few personal things he wants to take care of. We both don’t want him getting in trouble, I know that.” He responded, a soft smile on his face. “My master isn’t looking for me, but I’m grateful that you won’t say anything.”
“Do you want to join us?”
“Of course I want to…” Nooroo paused for a few seconds, but he continued, “I’m scared that I’ll be sent back into my Miraculous...”
Kitchen Intruder
captive-moth:
Before Adrien could enter the kitchen, Nooroo felt the very vivid presence of his emotional signature. He knew he was coming, that didn’t stop him from jumping in surprise when he heard the voice. That voice, he wasn’t expecting that voice.
“Eeep!”
Not one of his best ideas, but a few pieces of fruit ended up flying towards the teenager due to his movements in the bowl. The small kwami quickly flying out of the bowl and into one of the pans hiding in the kitchen. A streak of purple sparkles going across the room being the only proof that he was once there.
Still panicked, he slowly recognized at who was in the doorway. It was his master’s son, originally he had thought it was his master. Nooroo didn’t know which was worse; Gabriel finding out that he ran off to the kitchen or being found by his son.
Both would lead to his master being very displeased with him, and he was not ready to reminded where he stood in this relationship. That led to a plastic spoon being harmlessly thrown at Adrien.
{🐱} ❝ —!! ❞ Adrien froze when the sudden squeak chimed in, but only for a slight moment before the incoming pieces of fruit forced him to react. Without delay the model dived behind one of the kitchen counters. Oblivious of the intruder’s appearance besides…some streak of purple glitter ??
The possibilities of it being an akuma did lingered Adrien’s thoughts—so—without giving it a second thought the model called out to his kwami. ❝ —Plagg, Claws Out ! ❞ Once he took form, the masked feline decided to come out of hiding. Preparing to face whatever was out there !
❝ Alright—! Come out ! ❞ Claws retrieved the staff latched behind his back. Green hues perceiving every inch of the kitchen as he searched for any movement. Whether this was some thief or not—he couldn’t just ignore whoever it was. Not when, they could possibly go after the only family he has left.
In hindsight, it would've been better to stay in the bowl and to keep quiet. Nooroo decided it was best to not dwell on the what ifs in this situation. Besides, he wouldn't pass as a plum. He's tried.
Then came the three simple words, Nooroo froze up as he quietly listened from where he was hiding. The magic of the Miraculous was trying to make the kwami doubt that Adrien was Chat Noir. The truth stared him in the face, it would've been foolish to not answer it.
That didn't mean he wasn't scared, it only gave him more to fear. Especially with the already strained relationships in this household.
"Why should I come out?" The small and rather soft voice responded, hoping that the pot would make it harder to pinpoint where his voice was coming from. It might've made it that much easier.
Nooroo knew if it was a chase between him and Chat Noir, he'd lose by being plucked from the air. Yet, the kwami still took a chance, within a moment's notice, a lilac figure dashed across the room towards the fridge.
Marinette. It was nice to have a name to a face now. It was much easier than calling her the intern and that female who walked into the wrong room. Marinette. It was a pretty name.
Nooroo flew infront of her, but he didn’t exactly fly straight. There were a few loops that were done as he led the way. It was clear how much the kwami enjoyed to be out of that room. Although the dark didn’t bother him, Nooroo disliked it. Darkness reminded him what it was like to be rejected and locked away in the Miraculous.
“No, my master... He doesn’t like it if he doesn’t know where I am.” The kwami did pause for a few moments. Honestly, he was starting to suspect ulterior motives to inviting Marinette for the internship. Mr. Agreste, he may be offering her a chance to join the fashion industry but he could end up saying something to make her the perfect akuma victim (That is if she didn’t have a Miraculous, he reminded himself).
He wasn’t above that, Nooroo knew that much.
“Adrien just stepped out for a bit, he might’ve forgotten something at school. I suggest you do not tell Mr. Agreste that information, please.”
Unexpected
Fate, fate is something that many say you can’t control. Yet, fate is a series of events that you lead yourself on with the many choices of others and your. Is it really out of your control though?
He wished he had an answer to that. Then again, he did believe in such things.
Whether it be fate, destiny, luck, or simply just chance, it was a meeting that could easily have a strong effect on the future. The Butterfly Effect. It was the single butterfly that should’ve mean nothing but could mean everything. That’s what this meeting was.
Paris was enjoying a full week without some sort of havoc. No akumatized victims and no major negative events. Even less minor negative events for the people could be proved by the lack of akumas recently. But, many thought that Hawkmoth was planning something big, maybe he was, only he knew during his time of hiatus.
Yet, Nooroo was nervous. Very nervous. The kwami has been able to help his master transform for days now, but his master hasn’t done anything. It unnerved him that he didn’t know what his master was planning.
Before his master left his office, claiming that he needed to get something, Nooroo was instructed to search for highly negative emotional signature and to find him when it has been found. The kwami could only assume he was going to go make a phone call that was going to ruin someone’s life. It was going so well before then.
It was an order, and Nooroo had no choice but to mentally search the city for high amounts of negative emotions, so far, nothing had come up quite yet. While his attention was somewhere else, Gabriel’s Agreste’s possible new intern was told to take a seat in the office and to wait for Mr. Agreste’s return from his Business call.
It didn’t take long before Nooroo was able to feel the rage, the anger, the need to take revenge coming from a young man. That was his queue to go and find his master so he could transform (And ignore Nooroo’s pleas to not do this).
Yet, the kwami fazed through one of the drawers of the desk, only to be met by a young female’s stare. “Oops.” Those were the simple words that left the kwami’s mouth before he phased back into the desk.
