Todays adventures part 1

Today was my last day in the amazon rainforest. The people I havet are some of the most amazing people I have met in my life and I will cherish these memories forever. Tonight I leave for Cuzco and I am so excited for more adventures there!

My buss for Puerto Maldonado leaves at 9! After dinner me and the other volunteers are meeting up at the bus station and off we go! The ride is anywhere from 8-20 hours :( Then we have a 40 minute boat ride down the Madre De Dios river and we will arrive at our new home! I will be there for 6weeks with little access to Internet. See yall laterrrrr

Tumblr hates me and my pictures but hopefully at some point I'll be able to upload them! I leave for the amazon at 7:30 tomorrow night! Dropping off some stuff at maximo in the morning and then getting lunch with girls in my volunteer program! So excited to see the rainforest! I'll post when I can! ♡♡♡

Today is my last full day in Cuzco for a bit. I'm going to repack, meet two other volunteers who will be joining me in the jungle, have orientation, and I actually just get to relax. Tomorrow I leave for the Amazon!

SORRY... well kind of

Today was an amazing adventure and i cant wait to share all the pictures with you guys. Unfortunately tonight will not be the night that happens. I am extremely exhausted and i simple do not have the energy to sort through them all. By sunday night those pictures will be uploaded. I have another adventure tomorrow which includes horseback riding and a tour of cuzco city. Today is the birthday of Omar the gentleman housing me so I am going downstairs to celebrate a little before bed.

ALSO NOTE ABOUT PICTURES!!! All pictures upload before I return home are simply for fun and to keep you guys up to date on what I’m doing. By no means is this my art or my work. All film will be developed upon arrival and then for sale.

Itinerary

3/4/2015- Flights. First day. Safety orientation. Sleep

3/5/2015- Walked around city. Booked tours. 

3/6/ 2015- Full day Scared Valley Tour! Pisca Market, lunch in Urubamba, Ollantaytambo Archaeological Site, and if time allows Chinchero Excursion!

3/7/2015- Half day horseback riding tour which includes the Temple of the Moon, the Balcon del Inca cave and the towns of Huayllarccocha and Lanlacuyoc! Afterwards I will be doing a tour of Cuzco city including the Cathedral and Qoricancha (the temple of the sun) in the city center, as well as the four main ruins on the outskirts of Cusco: Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Tambomachay and Puka Pukara!

3/8/2015- I have my orientation for my Jungle Conservation program. Two more girls will be arriving at my home stay before hand. Mostly a day of rest and re-packing my things to prepare for the next leg of my journey. 

3/9/2015- I leave for the amazon rain forest! This will inculde a 10 hour bus ride to Puerto Maldanado, and then a 40 minute ride down the Madre De Dios river.

3/10/2015 through 4/17/2015- I will be doing jungle conservation work in the amazon rain forest. Little access to internet but I will keep everyone posted as much as possible.

4/18/2015- Arrive back in Cuzco with my travel buddy! We have a debrief for our next adventure. Staying the night in Loki Hostel. 

4/19/2015- At 4:30am our trek to Machu Picchu begins!

4/20/2015 through 4/22/2015- We will continue our trek to Machu Picchu arriving back in Cuzco on the 22ed where we will spend the night in Loki Hostel again.

4/23/2015- Ether a day of rest or some type of adventure tour. Night in Loki Hostel

4/24/2015- Ether a day of rest or some type of adventure tour. Night in Loki Hostel

4/25/2015- This is the day my amazing travel buddy leaves Peru and heads back to Canada. I will probably spend the day sleeping. Night in Loki Hostel

4/26/2015- MY LAST DAY!!! My flight leaves Cuzco around 6 and I will arrive in Lima by 8pm. I have a layover all night.

4/27/2015- My flight leaves Lima at 1:30 and will be a little under 7 hours until I land in HOTlanta. After that just one more flight to Hartford where my amazing boyfriend will be picking me up from the airport and I am back to reality.
