Sliding in very quietly on this Saturday evening to say once I'm finished with my current comms (so sorry to the folks still waiting on me), I think im gonna be done with commissions. I may open them occasionally if I feel up to it, but I have yet to fully recover from the burnout doing comms full time for almost 3yrs put me in. Its to the point I cant sketch for myself without feeling guilt or worrying people wont like the art I enjoy making, and thats just a horrible place to be in for the former kid in me who's only escape was art.
I want to draw for me again.
I want to lose myself in sketchbooks and not care how many likes it gets. I wanna make original art and characters that are solely mine again.
Dont get me wrong, i love fandom and will probably (almost assuredly) still do fanart because ive been doing it since before the internet became a thing in my life and I deserve to draw my favorite little guys and gals.
But uhhhh... yeah.
I know thats not a fantastic update but please know, I am BEYOND grateful for all the love and support from this community, and extra huge thanks to those who gave me your hard earned money for my work. Without all the wonderful humans here I would never have gone as far as I have, artistically and physically.
