Cartoon and Anime World Zine Introduction!
What is the Carani Zine?
The Carani Zine is about a Toon girl that lives in a world where Cartoons and Anime exist in the same space. She documents her experiences there and meets different characters.
Here’s a little more Background:
Like in the world of Roger Rabbit Humans and Toons both existed on Earth. However due to the growing population of toons and the introduction of Anime Earth became overcrowded. So the humans decided to send both toon and anime characters to the moon, where they can live peacefully.
The cartoons and anime decided to call their new home “Carani” as an amalgam of their characters.
One Toon girl who’s lived on earth in Toontown her whole life moves there and decideds to travel the whole moon and document her experiences there!
What to do in the Zine?
Well what you’d normally do in a zine. You can Draw and Write. However it has to be centered around the character and her experiences. You can draw and write about whatever toon and anime character just as long as it includes the Toon girl in some way.
Another thing to do in the zine is express your creativity to the fullest! The locations in the zine can be completely made up.
You can even include your own OCs from any Cartoon and anime. The one thing that is required about the writing is that it has to be done in the form of a diary/Journal/logbook. Dates and locations have to be included.
We are still deciding the look and name of the central character so stay tuned for that, but if you have any suggestions that’d be nice.
